Are Susan Ross and Maude Flanders the same???

Ok, ok I should explain this one....

If you ever are a fan of Seinfeld or Simpson fan, you would know they would kill off some of their characters.

Maude Flanders was from the Simpsons and Susan Ross was from Seinfeld. But I always thought to myself, do they have the same similarity trait from the show even in their death?

Let's start off with Simpsons and Maude Flanders. The reason they killed off this character was mainly because of the voice actor, Maggie Rosswell. She didn't get much money in her paycheck and let's say they changed the voice of her characters like Mrs. Lovejoy, Millhouse's mom and Miss Hoover Lisa's teacher. Maude Flanders was Ned's first wife. They had two children, Rod and Todd.

I thought she was the most boring character next to Otto the bus driver. But she was not seen in many episodes and when Maggie Rosswell left, the new voice actor appeared and Maude was just silent most of the time.  One episode, the last appearance of Maude, is when the Flanders family is at a nascar race and Maude went to get hot dogs. It took five minutes for Homer to taunt the t-shirt cannon girls to hit not him, but Maude with a barrage of t-shirts, letting her fall off the stadium and killing her on the ground.
How quick was it to get hot dogs is what I wanted to know.
Ever since her tragic death, Ned has been in sudden sadness, although remarried to Edna, but sadly Marcia Wallace passed away and the character of Mrs. Krabapple retired. But the character of Maude wasn't truly gone, it seemed that Maude has been seen in Simpson flashbacks and Maggie Rosswell has comeback to voice her once again.
But I still find her, as well as the Simpsons now a days, a little irritating. She isn't the only one.

For Seinfeld, we have Susan Ross. Played by Heidi Swedberg, Susan was introduced in season 4 when Jerry wanted to get his own tv show on NBC with the help of George. Although it never worked out, George took a shine to one of NBC executives Susan. She worked with NBC but sadly got fired when George stupidly kissed her in front of some of the NBC executives and they broke up, not before Kramer burned down her father's cabin and they found out her dad slept with John Cheever. She soon became a lesbian but sadly that didn't work out either.

George loved her in Season 7 and asked for her hand in marriage. George loved and hated the idea he tried his best to postpone the wedding even as far as crying like a baby. He couldn't stand sleeping with her doll collection since one looked like his mother, and when his parents met her parents, they forgot to put the rye bread out and George's dad steals it back, so they had to fish hook it back without any of the Ross' knowing. But suddenly Susan dies by licking toxic envelopes because George was cheap or was he?

I have read that this character on Seinfeld was so annoying and irritating to deal with that they wanted to kill her off.  Weird, I always thought she was enjoyable. Maybe I felt sorry for Heidi or maybe I just was surprised they killed George's girlfriend but what the worst thing was at the end of the episode where Susan dies, he calls Marisa Tomei saying that he's not married anymore and wants to date her, let's just say that didn't work out well.

I feel that both of these characters have a similarity on their life and their death scene, sad yes, but funny as well. We didn't know it was coming but we enjoyed every moment we enjoyed even if they were annoying at times.

If I had to pick which character I relate to, I would say Susan. I'm demanding and I'm just somewhat like her, I wouldn't go licking toxic envelopes but let's say Heidi is an amazing actress and has done a lot since she left Seinfeld. Till then, the similarities and difference of these characters are like night and day. All they are, are actors. Caio Bloggers!
