A year is near its end, and we're still on the 'Ber months. October is now here. The third of October, but it still has a lot of weeks left till the end. This is the season where the weather gets cooler. Not too cold, but not too hot.
But sometimes...you can feel a little heat, and a little chill. You never know.
Interesting facts happen around this time. Both Libras and Scorpio start.... depending on when in October you were born.
Cinnamon becomes the new spice as Pumpkin becomes the new flavor. Leaves start to fall after changing color. Baseball is near its end (No Phillies win this year) and before you know it... it'll be Halloween.
First off...October is breast cancer awareness month. Started by a woman who lost her life to breast cancer thanks to her sister carrying on the fight even today. Luckily, I never had it and get checker often. My mother, a breast cancer survivor.
My cousin and late nana, also breast cancer survivors. Men can get them as well, so men you get checked too.
Another fun fact is.... October is also National Pizza Month. I love Pizza, and I've talked about it before. I don't know how this started, but they chose this month to be National Pizza Month.
One day, make a pie, order from your favorite pizzeria. But October is not just both Pizza and Breast Cancer Awareness month. This month has a lot of things going for it.
The weather, you can never tell if you're hot or cold. Other months varies, but October is like April...you never know if it'll rain one day and be sunny the next. It's all in the supposed mix.
Wear comfortable clothing because by the end of the month...it'll start to chill.
Every month, like October, always has birthdays. My dad, my cousin's husband, my late uncle...all are in October.
Kate Winslet, Kelly Ripa, Simon Cowell, Ryan Reyonlds, Eminem, Kim Kardashian, Henry Winkler and many more are October birthdays. Some people have a Halloween birthday. A friend of mine was born on Friday the 13th in October...which is rare for some people.
October 3rd, which is today, it's considered 'Mean Girls' Day since the date is used in the movie. This movie is quotable as hell.
Already twenty-two years old, and this movie still is worth watching.
I've experienced more tragedies in October. One year, I lost my pop-pop from an aortic tare in his heart that wasn't found in time.
The year after, on October first.... I ended up in the hospital since I ended up with congestive heart failure. I was starting high school...and I guess I got sick. My mom took care of me for a whole year. Eventually, I got better, but.... October is always a cursed month in my mind.
October is here, and a lot happens. Every month has its own interesting days. Ending with Halloween. I don't celebrate Halloween much. I did when I was little; loved to get candy, but it was hard for me because of my health.
Now....we just go out to dinner instead so we don't get any trick or treaters. Until then, Enjoy October
