Calvin and Hobbes comics

Image result for Calvin and Hobbes You've got your old comics like "Dick Tracy" "Family Circle" "Peanuts" and the comics that are still there today like "Garfield" "Zits" "Argyle Sweater" and many more, but there is one comic that I have enjoyed since I was little and miss it every day...

Calvin and Hobbes. A comic strip about a boy and a toy tiger that he imagines is real. Calvin has a high vocabulary, amazing for a kid at age six.

First Strip:

Calvin is the kid and Hobbes is the name of a tiger who is like Calvin's best companion. They stick together like glue, and sometimes, they have other characters besides him and his parents.

Calvin's parents:

His father is a hard worker who tries not to get angry when Calvin does something bad. Together, they make a great couple, despite having a child that can be a little too much.

Calvin has a very overactive imagination, and when he doesn't want to listen to the teacher or even his parents, he either becomes Spaceman Spiff or a detective, or a robot...anything that he can imagination.

Moe the Bully:

It seems Moe might be in high school or something, but it seems Calvin finds a way to get into trouble and end up face down into dirt or his eyes punched as he receives a shiner. Anyway, Calvin tries to stay far away from this man.

There were book series with interesting titles like "Yukon Ho" "There is something under the bed" "Scientific progress goes boink" "The days are just packed" and the last one... "It's a magical world."

There are other characters of Calvin's world like their neighbor Suzie that Hobbes has a crush on, and that Suzie likes. His teacher Mrs. Wormwood, their babysitter Roz. And every time he fantasizes, he pictures them in his dreams too.

People ask him why he isn't making Calvin and Hobbes anymore with his reply being "there were just no more jokes to make about a small boy and his tiger"

All I can say is that I do miss them. They were apart of my childhood like Garfield and the Far Side are.

It doesn't mean the comics are gone, but it just means we can enjoy it with every generation...
