Do seasons and holidays have a room to breathe?

It's summer now and I just saw a "back to school" commercial from Ziploc. WHAT THE HELL!!!

Don't holidays have a room to breathe anymore? I mean really. I wouldn't be surprised that the first day of October, I would see a Christmas commercial. I mean really.

Does corporate society care? I don't wanna scare children around the first day of summer or anything but this is really pushing the envelope. I think this is stupid. Kids need to breathe and enjoy summer. Not to see a GD BACK TO SCHOOL commercial around the end of June. I mean around the end of July or middle of August, but JUNE. That is annoying.

If I see one Christmas commercial in SEPTEMBER, I will cry. You can't give a holiday a room to breathe anymore. I mean doesn't anyone wanna think about Easter or Thanksgiving of Fourth of July. Do those holidays not matter anymore? I mean Christmas is the big one. The king of all holidays. It would stomp on others like Godzilla in Tokoyo. I mean for the love of...

Sorry if I'm ranting but it's true. I haven't much emphases on Easter this year because it was either too early or too late. Well enjoy whatever little summer we have. Believe me, I'll be seeing a lot of back to school commercials by the time July ends. Till then see u next month. Ciao Bloggers! Happy Summer!

turning books into movies????

Ever heard of the old phrase when someone watches a preview of a movie and they say, "the book was better?"

Well I just noticed a trailer of a movie that was biased off an old kids book called "Paddington" about the bear named Paddington. OMG.  So many books are being turned into movies.
Some good like 'to kill a mockingbird' and some bad like 'twilight' (Never read the book, but that movie sucked)

It seems almost every book is about to become a multi million dollar movie. "Harry Potter" "The Hunger Games" You name it. I don't think 'Catcher in the Rye' will ever be a movie since the author never want it to be sold into movie rights.

Even some kid books, like "Babysister's club" "Diary of a loser (whatever it's called)" "Jake underpants"

Even Dr. Seaus (who would be rolling in his grave) if he say any and I mean any of his lame movies that were being shamefully ripped off by Hollywood, or Canadian actors portraying them. For the love of god. STOP! The classic cartoon versions are thousand times better than that crap.

Even Roald Dahl books such as "James and the Giant Peach" "Charlie and the chocolate factory" (both the original and tim burton version)  "Witches" "Matilda" They all saw the spotlight. Liked the Matilda film and the two Charlie and the chocolate factories. The other two, not so much.

So many books are starting to become films and tv movies, it's almost scary. Some movies do ok, while others just are too hyped or not hyped enough and this "Paddington" movie might not compare to the original book that I fell in love with when I was little, but for other generations, it might be ok, but this is just too much. He looks so much like that snuggle bear with the fabric softener. Well as long as it goes by the book and doesn't end up like that stupid yogi bear movie, I'm up for it, but for now, I know "The book was better" Ciao bloggers

dim bulb or bright idea?

I've seen some interesting cartoon characters that are complete morons in my day. Even the inspector gadget (cartoon not the crappy movie) is a lemming and doesn't even know he needs saving.

So why am I blogging about this?
Well I've learned about being smart, or average, or stupid and I've found out that I don't care if I'm dumb or average, I know I'm smart deep down. But some times I just completely lose some of my thinking and forget where I am half the time, let alone I'm not a genius.

People in movies and tv, (even cartoons) have a dumb sidekick like Spongebob has his friend Patrick, but I've notices there is brilliance in everyone, Sometimes there is what I call a "smart moment" in a stupid character for a few minutes, and then they go to stupid again. Almost everyone has it.
We can have a smart moment and not know about it...

We can enlighten our brilliant mind and  yet be forgetful at the same time. That's called being human. Homer Simpson, I think  is a genius in some Simpson episodes, and sometimes, in almost all episodes, is a complete dunce. There are smart people out there in the world and we can be one of them if we just challenge our minds.
If not,, or if we do and still can't challenge it as best as we can, being average is nothing to be upset about.

Smart, dumb, a dunce or just overage, you are unique. Even if a stupid cartoon character can get smart for a few minutes (mostly because of the writer's idea) so can you,

Never take your mind for granted. Till then Ciao Bloggers!

How smart am I?

I've noticed these days that sometimes we can be smart and not know it.

I don't have a high IQ but I am smart in my own way. I have tried some brain teasers and test to study my IQ and I never figured out if I'm really smart. I mean last time I found out my IQ was 130, but that was a couple of years ago. Have I changed my IQ? I don't know or maybe I don't care.

Our IQ doesn't show much, but it does show that we know things that others might not. Our own paths in our own way can higher our IQ without us even knowing it. I sometimes feel that I get dummer everyday, but I know that I am smart. If I know something from the beginning, I'll learn it forever, like birthdays, dates or knowing how to work on a new cash register at work.

Sometimes my brain, like all of ours, can be forgetful yes, they call it 'brainfarts' or something like that, I just call it a pause moment.

There are some celebrities that are very intelligent, James Woods is smarter than Albert Einstein they say, that is amazing, and that Geena Davis was a Mensa member and also the girl that played Winnie in wonder years is a genius in math.

I'm pretty much a genius in my own way, forgetful at times, but at others can brighten myself and not even realize it. I am smart, Im no genius but I don't think I was ever meant to be. But training my brain with IQ tests once in a while never hurts as they always say, "you learn something new everyday"

Love to read and write (as you can tell) I have read Moby DIck and wouldn't mind reading it again. I don't mind re-reading a book I've read before. I enjoy it and learning new words from a dictionary on line helps me with my intellect, spelling it, will take time too as well, I am smart, and I don't need anyone to bring me down, especially myself.

Even if I still have an IQ of 130, that's still good. Not genius, but good enough for average person like me. Never take your brain for granted, and till then enjoy your intelligence, because before you know it, you'll be just as smart as Einstein. Till then, Ciao Bloggers
