Merry Christmas to all (2012 in review)

First off, a lot of people are in great turmoil over what happened in Newtown, CT. I am too. I just want to cry. Deep down, those 20 didn't deserve to die so young, neither did those those six adult women. Their family has my condolences. They are hurting inside as much as I am. We've been through so much grief in 2012.
So much gun violence. From a movie theater in Colorado to a Mall in Oregon, now this. Something has to be done about this.
We've been through too much sadness all ready. Every time I see a child it reminds me how precious life is and how fast it can be taken away, by a maniac with a gun. It is just too sad. God rest their souls.

And with Christmas coming up now, I don't know if Connecticut will ever be the same. I know Newtown won't be. They won't ever open Sandy Hook elementary school ever again :(

This year has been crazy, we've had a lot of ups and downs. Mostly downs. First off, we had Whitney Houston, Davy Jones and Etta James die in the early winter. Three great talents taken away from us.

Super Storm Sandy in October (I know I'm going ahead of myself) that destroyed and brought devastation to NYC and most of New Jersey boardwalk like Atlantic City.

Penn State Football would never be the same again after what happen with Jerry Sandusky and the infamous sex scandal with kids, plus the death of Joe Paterno (who had nothing to do with it)

The Movie theater shooting in Colorado... I just don't want to go any further with that.
But so much has happened. But a good thing did happen this year...

My cousin gave birth to her third child Riley. He is so adorable and full of life.. He makes every day a special day in that family. A lot of good things did happen this year.

Obama became president again, we got a new American Idol (Phillip Phillips) Although we did lose Dick Clark this year, his spirit will live on every year the ball will drop on New Years Eve (even if Ryan Seacrest is taking over) nothing will take over Dick Clark's spirits of New Years Eve

We also lost Neil Armstrong, Ernest Borgnine, Andy Griffith... a lot of great people, but happily they are looking down from Heaven knowing how much they've inspired us.

This year was a great (although sad year) next year will be the sad happy and sad.

Want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and sending my condolences to the lost souls in Connecticut. Till Next year, Ciao Bloggers!

My 10 favorite Christmas Movies

I know Christmas is coming very very fast, so I have watched many Christmas movies in my life and I have 10 that I want to list. 10 being the bottom and 1 being the best, in my opinion, Christmas movie of all time. Other people have their versions, but this is mine.

Number 10:   "Olive the other Reindeer" Yeah I know it's not much of a Christmas movie as it is a special. A dog (voiced by Drew Barrymore) named Olive of course, thinks of herself not as much as a dog but a reindeer and wants to fly to save Christmas since another reindeer was grounded during a flying lesson so she gets help from a talking penguin to get to a North Pole, but half the time her plans are side swiped by a Christmas hating postman who wants to cancel Christmas. But eventually at the end she helps Santa save Christmas.

Number 9:  "Scrooged"  A strange version of A Christmas Carol none of the less, Bill Murray plays Frank Cross, a cold hearted person who has a task of creating A Christmas Carol on Christmas Eve. He meets a cab driver to takes him back to his childhood (ala ghost of Christmas past) Ghost of Christmas present is a Pixie and yes they even show Frank his horrid future. But at the end, like any other Christmas Carol movie, I think although I felt it had a different way of showing it, he sees his misdeeds and eventually comes to terms with himself and becomes good.

Number 8:  "Home for the Holidays"  I know this is a Thanksgiving movie, but it could also be watched on Christmas as well. Holly Hunter plays Claudia who is a single mom and just got fired from her recent job. She wants to spend Thanksgiving with her family and gay brother Tommy. Tommy has a new friend named Leo, but he's in a long term relationship with someone else and everything goes all crazy. If you haven't seen it yet, see it. It's really funny, and it doesn't matter if it's Christmas either.

Number 7: "A Muppet Christmas Carol" Yes I know I'm know I'm putting another one up there, let me explain. I like this movie. Michael Cane, great actor. Can do a great Ebenezer Scrooge (so can George C. Scott, Kelsey Grammar, Patrick Stewart and so on and so forth) but this is a dark side of the Muppet you've never seen. It's more darker, plus you have a combination of humans and Muppet in this as you would in any other of their films in but doing Charles Dickens. There are two ghosts that are Jacob Marley. A ghost of Christmas past that is more like a child, a fat Muppet that is the ghost of Christmas present, and you don't know who is the ghost of Christmas yet to come. It was a very good one.

Number 6:  "Home Alone" Before I go any further, the third fourth and fifth one (yes there's a fifth) one were horrible. The best one to see is the classic. The original that started it all in 1990. The late John Hughes and director Christopher Columbus gave us this wonderful movie of a boy left home alone by his parents while they go on a trip to Paris. Kevin (played by Macaulay Culkin) has to deal with two thieves that break into his house and try to steal. He won't have that. He decides to take matters into his own hands by setting traps for them. But I have a question, how could he get out of the house when he was setting up the traps and not get hurt? Wow. Well still a great movie to see after I eat Thanksgiving dinner.

Number 5: "How the Grinch stole Christmas (the cartoon)" First off the Cartoon was five times better than the Ron Howard version, why? because it is short, it made more sense and it was more colorful. But that's my opinion. First off you have an awesome song "you're a mean one, Mr. Grinch" sung by Tony the Tiger, plus the person narrating the story also voicing the Grinch. Thank you Boris Karloff. But now a days, people want 3D and Canadian actors in cat suits and green makeup to play Dr. Seuss characters. God Oh mighty this cartoon should be in 3-D, along with the original Lorax, and I'm not talking about the Danny DeVito version

Number 4:  "Meet me in St. Louis" Yes this is a Christmas movie. Why is this in my list? Because it is a classic movie that deserves somewhat a mention. You have Judy Garland playing Esther Smith, and this all takes place during 1904 St. Louis world's fair of course. And an elegant ball takes place around Christmas Eve where John (played by Tom Drake) cannot Esther out to because he left his tuxedo at the tailors... well you have to see it and you get to her Judy Garland's randtion of "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas" Loved that version for sure

Number 3:  "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" I think this is another great and funny John Hughes movie to see if you haven't seen it. First off, Chevy Chase, Funny as hell! He plays Clark Griswold as he and the family go off to get a Christmas tree, end off getting a huge ass one, and what else leads off to is nothing but hillarity. Clark is trying to get a Christmas bonus from his stingy boss so he can get a pool built in his backyard. His neighbors, (one played by Elaine's Julia Louise- Dreyfus) think of them as psychos, he and is wife's parents are going to stay at their house, he wants to have the most lights on his house, his cousin Eddie stays over as well, and are poor and Eddie's kids don't believe and Santa and eventually, the bonus never comes and Clark goes crazy and eventually, almost ruins Chrismas eve.... What am I trying to say about this great movie??? "I pledge allegence, to the flag of the United States of America," you gotta see this movie.

Number 2:  "A Charlie Brown Christmas"  First off, best Peanuts short ever!!!!! Second would be would be that great pumpkin one. First off, Charlie is in charge of holding a play, although Charlie thinks that Christmas has gone too commercial and no one but him thinks he's nothing but crazy and as Luck quotes, "A blockhead" He tries to find the true meaning of Christmas without commercialism while his sister tires to get a letter to Santa on time and Snoopy decorates his dog house. It's so funny, but near the end, when Charlie ask what Christmas is all really about, he gets his answer from Linus who quotes from the bible saying: "And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not; for, behold, I bring you tidings of great joy, which  which shall be to all people." and so on and so fourth  and he also finds a small tree to bring back and it needed was some love. I loved this special from beginning to end.

I know I should show you the number one Christmas movie I love the most, but there is another I want to mention.

Number 1/2: "A Christmas Story" When this came out, I wasn't born yet, but when I got older, I saw it and I laughed it and quoted almost every line of the hilarity that this movie had about a boy and his b.b. gun and the line his mother would always say "You'll shoot your eye out" and he would always have visions of what it would be like to have one. Also another scene where his friend put his tongue to a frozen pole and that... well never do that is the main lesson you will learn in that. Another one is the fragile leg lamp his father loved and his mother hated and "broke by accident" or uttering the curse word and soap in his mouth, or asking Santa for the gun and getting the same response he got from his mom. It's like if some adult wanted to tell his side of the story of what happens when he was a kid on Christmas day and told it through his point of view, you get this wonderful movie.

And now what I think is the best Christmas movie of all time

Number 1: "It's a wonderful life" Why is this number one on my list? Let me tell you why. When I saw this movie of a poor man, down on his luck wishing he wasn't alive, wondering what the world would be like if he wasn't around... it was just incredible. Jimmy Stewart is one hell of a great actor, plus seeing a different version of  George Baily's life. Shows every moment of his life from when he was young to his adult years, where he seemed more troubled and when loses a big chunk of money to a greedy man named Henry F. Potter who quotes that he is worth more dead than alive, and Clarance being his angel showing him everything that happens if George wasn't around. The town is not called Bedford Falls anymore, His brother would have died of a young age through that thin ice while he went ice skating, his wife would have been nothing but an "old maid" never married. He gets so upset hoping to change his errors of his ways, wanting to come back, not knowing what was going to happen. Happily running down the street seeing things were back the way they were (even greedy old Mr. Potter) and it seems when he got home, things to him were looking up. It seemed so many people heard about his troubles and were giving him some money to make up for the $8,000 that he lost. His brother toasted him saying, "To George Baily, my brother. The richest man in town" Soon the bell rings and Zuzu, his youngest says, "every time a bell rings, and angel gets his wings."  I think that's true.   That is my favorite and most loved Christmas movie of all time, and I just can't wait to see it again and again and again.

That is my top 10 list best Christmas movies ever. You might have yours but this is mine. Will blog again before Christmas, till then, ciao bloggers!

saying goodbye to home pride

First off it's weird blogging about a bread that I have liked since I was young, but I just found out that Home Pride bread, the bread in the yellow package is from the same company that produces Twinkies. That's right HOSTESS. They made Home Pride Bread. I just found that out today.

I thought, going in the grocery store, I thought they were just out of stock and would bring more back. Went shopping today, was so wrong. Thought it was just a weird coincidence and everyone in my family thought I should just try another bread. It's not that. I don't hate the other breads or anything it's just, I grew up loving Home Pride Bread most of my life and it's been with me for a long time.

I also thought another company distribute Home Pride Bread, and wasn't upset when Hostess was going out of business.

        BOY WAS I WRONG!!!!

I just could not believe the same company that had Twinkies, Ding Dongs and even Wonder Bread made Home Pride. One of my favorite breads ever. I've had other breads before, but nothing was like Home Pride bread of course and why? Maybe it tasted really good and it was very buttery on top with it's butter top cut and it's just not going to be the same without it. I don't care if Hostess isn't making it anymore, but if any of you read this, and love this bread as much as I do, maybe you can ask some company to bring it back so we can have it again. But till then, I'll try something new, and hopefully it'll be as good, but believe you and me nothing will be as good as the one and only yellow package of Home Pride Butter top bread. Till then Ciao boggers! and remember food comes and gos but the memories will always be fresh in your mind.

goodbye twinkies

Hostess has gone bankrupt so it seems that we might have to say goodbye to our favorite snack foods.
But I, on the other hand, was never a huge fan of the twinkie or the ding dong or the ho hos or the sno balls.

Nope, wasn't a big fan of any of them, but it was still a part of people's childhood that they liked and they cherished, even those old 50's commercials still ring in their ears today on how those kids still want to see Twinkie the kid or king ding dong give them.

I'm more a fan of Tastykakes. Tastykake sadly almost went out of business but eventually bounced back, but Hostess had to let go of many workers, some of them hit the picket lines and it seemed that if they didn't come back to work, they would shut down the factory for good.
   How stupid is Hostess???

They're even going to get rid of Wonder Bread too. Some people really love Wonder Bread, again I am not one of them. Hostess owns the Wonder Bread company as well, and sadly, when Hostess closes, Wonder Bread will go with them. Drakes bakery was sold by Hostess as well, so when Hostess goes out of business, Drakes might use another bakery for their cakes or something else will happen.

I don't know if Twinkies will really be gone forever, but I know that Hostess bakeries is in for major liquidation and bankruptcy problems. But we still have entiments, little Debbie, and Tastykake to make our snacking satisfying.
Till then Ciao Bloggers! and Happy Snacking

My stories

Have so many story ideas and I know that some of those stories are good, but I don't know how good they will end up until I reach the ending.

First off one of the stories is about a teenage girl who goes to camp that has been inhabited by werewolves that are really the camp councilors and most of the males in the camp. Now I'm near the climax at the end of the story, but I'm trying to find out how I'm really going to end it. The Manager of the camp said that his grandfather who ran the camp knew about the Indian burial ground that the camp was built over and there was a book that had all the answers and how to stop the tribal curse and turn everyone back to normal.
Just need to find out how to end it all before another person is killed, because I already killed off one camper, what makes me not to kill off another.

Another story I would like to finish before the end of the year is about a baker who is in a competition to win some money so she can make her bakery flurish with so many customers and make her father happy (although her father is suffering from a serious Alzheimer's disease) and she also wants to beat a former competitor who doesn't like anyone either than herself.

I have so many ideas for stories, they just pop out to me so much. Sometimes I don't even write the stories. My other story idea I might not start for a while is about a woman who is trying to solve a murder of another woman named 'Jill' murdered by a man named 'Jack' and he threw her lifeless body in a well. The title is called "Jack and Jill" Nothing like the nursery rhyme, but in a place where the woman solves murders of  what appears to be a mother goose character named Jill, let's just say, she has a lot to learn about this murder or the psychopath who is now after her.

For some reason, stories or ideas just come to me and they just stay with me for a long time and don't want to go away till after I finish the story with the words 'The end' I still have my other stories to finish. I doubt I'll be finishing them till next year. Those two stories are the only stories I want to focus on right now. Hopefully something good will come up, and maybe another story will creep into my head. Will blog again soon. Till then, Ciao!

Thanksgiving TWO WEEKS AWAY!!!!!!!!!

Where did the time go???? Really??? I mean it's only the 8th and two weeks from today it will be THANKSGIVING!!!!

I haven't even gotten through the end of Halloween and the start of November but now, it's two weeks till Thanksgiving.
I know the day before Thanksgiving will be rough for me. Working at a grocery store is tough enough but working  at one the day before is just a nightmare. So many customers will forget something and will wait till the last minute and boom... long lines everywhere.

And the worst is the day after Thanksgiving where people call 'Black Friday' where people love to shop by line, or just want to wait for hours on end in lines just to get the gift they want to give someone on Christmas. So they would feel appreciated come Christmas day when open that present.
I think it's just weird. I don't shop on Black Friday. That's suicide in my opinion (unless you wanna do it online, that's fine)

Usually for me, the day after Thanksgiving, I end up getting sick. It happens almost every year. Don't know why, but it just happens. Hopefully, this time I won't get sick the day after Thanksgiving this year.

What I sometimes like about Thanksgiving is mostly being with my family, but this year, my boyfriend will join us, and I'm super happy for that.  We always have Thanksgiving at our house, every single year.
This year is no exceptions, but we might get more turkey or two or something like that. All I know is... it is too close to Thanksgiving, but then again, next year, it'll get farther away. Well that's all I wanted to blog about for now. Will blog again soon. Till then, Ciao Bloggers

Punta Cana

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. Mostly because of the hurricane and my vacation I keep forgetting to blog on occassion.

   Well this time....

I  am back to tell you about my vacation to Punta Cana. A little island off the Dominican Republic that my family and I stayed for a while,

First off we had to deal with the ending of Hurricane Sandy over in Punta Cana. So non stop rain most of the time. There were many places to go and enjoy ourselves. The hardest part was understanding the language. You had to know how to speak fluent Spanish. My Spanish wasn't as great as I wanted it to be but I got by ok.

We stayed at an adult resort and since most of the time there was barely any sun, we decided to stay by the pool side and just lie down on some chairs and relaxed. I evened enjoyed a Mai Ti. Virgin style which means there was no alcohol in it.

Mostly at night we would catch a show. First night we stayed, we didn't see a show. The second night, we saw a Michael Jackson performance where a guy dressed up as Michael Jackson, and lipsynced the songs but he was great at dancing just like Michael Jackson did those years ago. He performed all the great songs like "Smooth Criminal" "Thriller" "Dangerous" and much more. I knew he was lip syncing but those moves were real.
The third night there was a circus theme with acrobats that put on quite a show. They did a really great job holding still and there were also ballerinas and men who would stand on swings and it was just amazing. There were clowns there too and they make me laugh a little. There guys were trained professionals.
The last night before we went back home, they did a Disco theme where people would wear costumes, dance and sing to seventies songs like the Village People, Gloria Gayner's "I will Survive". They even walked off stage during the song, "Celebrate" and tried to get the audience to celebrate as well.

One day was full rained out there was a bingo game going on and Mom and I joined. There were three games of bingo. Mom won the last one and got a shirt out of it. There were beautiful parrots near the shops mom and I went to and that's why I have picture taken with one.

Out of all it was a beautiful place to be at. The weather wasn't perfect, but it was a great time to get away from it all but coming back home was even more joyful.

The dinners we went to were nice as well. We went to a grill restaurant, an Italian restaurant and a seafood place and in the mornings for breakfast we went to a buffet. They had good waffles there; however, when mom and I had lunch there once, there was a man who freaked out over his iPad thinking somebody took it, but his wife had it all along. At least many of the people came over to see if he was ok afterwards.

And yes, for my mom happiness, there was a casino.

The flight home was the longest flight we ever experienced because the pilot needed to take another route to get out of Sandy's path for us to get home safe. Even though it was a five to six hour flight, it felt more like a ten hour flight, and I was jet lagged at the leaset by the time we got home, and all of this on my dad's birthday.

All in all, it was still a great vacation but my mom thinks if we ever take a vacation like that again We'll go again in January in 2014, hopefully to to Saint Barthélemy.
Till then pray for all of New York and New Jersey to get better through their tough times in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Caio Bloggers! Till Now.

SchoolHouse Rock

What was School House Rock?? Well It was an interesting program that strarted around the 1970's and are considered an educational way to help kids to learn about math or history or science anything.   They even had famous ones like "Conjunction Junction" which was learning about conjunctions such as "if" "or" "and" small words that would combined other words together to form a sentence.

I grew up with these helpful VHS tapes when I was a kid to help study for stuff I needed to know such as what was 9x9 and there was 9 times table trick with a video showing cats playing pool and using the mouse as the ball. They really were into the math, but there most famous one ever was: "I'm just a bill" That one was about how a law was passed and a talking bill was singing about it voiced by Jack Sheldon who is still alive today and doing the same thing on School House Rock.
Another one that is famous is "Three is the magic number" Bob Dorough wrote and accompanied with his vocals in the video on the subject on the multiplication of 3.

School House Rock would go by subjects kids would try to learn. They would a Grammar Rock, Multiplication Rock, America Rock and so on and so forth. And now they have the whole video on a 30th anniversary edition and it's pretty neat, or if your kids ever wanna learn something they need to know, School House Rock is always there to help like it did me. On YouTube they have many School House Rock videos, just takes me back to my childhood.

Even some School House Rock videos have been parodied. "Conjunction Junction" was parodied on Family Guy.  "I'm just a bill" was parodied on The Simpsons, and I think Family Guy. Still will help school kids today like it did me in the 90's and when it started in the 70's. School House Rock is for kids such as Sesame Street is meant to teach preschoolers.

I always liked and always were enjoy many and various videos of School House Rock, especially "I'm just a Bill" Won't blog again for a while, not till after my vacation and I'll blog about that when I'm back. Till then, Caio Bloggers, and enjoy learning no matter what tool you use. :)

Anti- Bullying month

Not only is October Breast cancer awareness month, it is also Anti-Bullying month. A month where we contribute against bullies that think it a great idea to pick on other people they feel it makes them feel more superior.

It is up to us and others to stand up to bullies and their evil ways. Bullies are not to be taken lightly. Some people that have been bullied in their life have ended up hurting themselves or worse...

I have been bullied when I was a little girl in middle school, but that never bugged me much, I never stood up to my bullies, that was the problem. Some people don't have the courage to stand up to their bullies. They feel as if they are bullied for a reason. I think it's wrong in my opinion. There are so many websites that are helping people now that have been bullied and there are support groups in a lot of states that help people who have been bullied in there lives. Even bullying on the web as well or as they call it 'cyber-bullying'

I felt so sorry for that woman from New York who was picked on by those kids on the bus ride just because they wanted to post it on a tv show called Tosh.O. That's not right, just because they wanted to show their bullying on TV. Well they got their just deserts and that woman got so much support form so many people she even got a free vacation to Disney World which was very nice.

Recently another woman, an anchor woman was bullied for being overweight and she stood up to herself. Kudos to her for doing something so brave and it made her feel so much better and it also made her feel as if she could do it, someone else who is being picked on can have the courage to stand up and do the right thing.

It's hard, I agree. I didn't even know I was being bullied, or I was hurting someone, but you never know, but deep down you can tell how pain you can cause and how much it hurts. So it doesn't have to always be on October, but remember, if you see someone being bullied, do something about it. Tell someone... an adult a principal, anyone because if someone doesn't have the courage, and you do, believe me you will have the strength to do what some people are scared of doing...  Caio Bloggers for now will blog again next week, and please stop bullying.

What's your favorite candy bar??

Been looking through candy bars lately. Knowing you know what is coming soon. My parents aren't big fans of Halloween, but I digress..

It's candy I'm talking about in this segment. Why??? Because I'm craving a twix bar right now and we don't have one in the house. That's one of my favorite candy bars. Hershey bar (the original milk chocolate bar) is number one on my list. Just love the creaminess of the chocolate in my mouth, it makes it water, and for some reason, I always need a drink of water after eating anything chocolaty.

My other favorite, of course, is twix. Just the original caramel and cookie crunch covered in chocolate twix. The bar that made George Costanza go insane for because he believed a mechanic stole his twix bar. Not the one with the peanut butter in it. Not a big fan of peanut butter and chocolate mixed in together, so I don't like recces peanut butter cups. Or the recces peaces that made famous for the movie E.T.

I also like M&M's milk chocolate and the mini's as well. Wanna try the dark chocolate M&M's along with dark Hershey. Trying to get into the taste of dark chocolate these days. They say dark chocolate is not only healthier chocolate but it actually has more taste of a real cocoa bean than any other chocolate, and it's richer in flavor too.

I also like candy that is not chocolate but gunny. Haribo gummy bears are the best gummy bears ever. I'm not big on gummy worms unless it dipped in chocolate.  Anything gummy sometimes needs to be dipped in chocolate. I just know, if I have to this year, I'll buy some recces peanut butter cups, little Hershey bars and even mini twixes so I can snack on them for Halloween. What's your favorite candy bar? Caio Bloggers?

what you buy is might not be what you really get.

Some people think seeing an infomercial such as the 'ninja blender' which we have or the 'pasta boat' or what not of many infomercials you see at night you think to yourself 'it is too good to be true.' Mostly because it is, of course.

First off, my family is not into seeing infomercials but my uncle, loves percussing them and he's not the only one. There are 'As seen on TV' stores at the mall, there are many ads for 'As seen on TV' products as well advertized in magazines that you can find in best buy or target or Macy's. However, sometimes what you buy is not always what you get.

I remember getting a product once called well I forget the name but it was for your hair. It was some sort of scrunchie for your hair that would snap on to you and make these interesting hairstyles, but it didn't work very well for my hair since my hair was too thick and it hurt my head as well as it kept pulling on my hair.

My uncle liked to purchase As seen on TV products. He just thinks it's fun, and some of the things he's purchased actually do work like the food sealer or 'food saver' as it's called. It does seal very well and suck up the air very fast. I like it, but I don't think we would need it for our house. But we did get the Ninja Blender of course. Mostly because my mom loves to make smoothies. It works very well. It does what it promises to do, crush ice, make quick smoothies with bananas and yogurt and milk and anything you want to add into it.
My mom uses it all the time.

Sometimes some products, look way too good to be true and not something we would need like that Magic Bullet blender. It doesn't seem to be something we would really need and doesn't seem to be something that is worth to see infomercials for, and the infomercials, well they aren't very entertaining to see. Mostly you have a man or a woman that swear by the product that is being advertized but deep down, they really hate it, I mean really hate it. They even bring out a plate of warm food or finish something that couldn't be done in ten seconds. It had to be done minutes before the infomercial had started. I have a feeling sometimes the product will work and other times, they will pay people to say lies about a product that doesn't really work and suckers will believe it.   And sometimes, kids can be suckered in too for toys and other goodies they would like, and when they get it might not be what they see on TV. Like that episode of Full House where Michele got ripped off when she wanted a toy.

Sometimes it happens, remember, beware. What you buy is not always going to be what you get. Caio Bloggers! Will blog again in October before my trip.

Freaky Friday 1976 vs 2003

FREAKY FRIDAY: The good version and the bad version.

I love Freaky Friday, the 1976 version of course. The classics are always the best. Jodie Foster as Annabel and Barbara Harris as Ellen (the mother) trading places. Always better than the 2003 version with Lindsay Lohan.

First off the one that started it all.  The book. Freaky Friday written by Mary Rodgers who also wrote Hot Spot and From A to Z. Freaky Friday is a story of a mother and daughter that don't understand each other and wonder what it would be like to be one another, and all of a sudden, on a Friday of course, the mother is the daughter and the daughter is the mother and experience wacky things on this one tipicle day.

The movie versions are somewhat like that, but I feel as if the 1976 version is more understanding and more to the book than the 2003 version because of it having more a mother/daughter connection than it having a misunderstanding connection with this movie, but that might just be me.

First the good version: Jodi Foster plays Annabel Andrews a thirteen year old girl who doesn't understand her mother, Ellen (portrayed by Barbara Harris). Annabel has a brother name Ben whom she calls 'Ape Face' who is a tidy, neat person who deep down doesn't know that he really likes Annabel but will never know that till she becomes the mother. Ellen, the mother, doesn't understand the daughter much ether. She thinks Annabel has it easy. Getting through life easy, knowing the pressures it will be when she becomes a grown up, or even a mother.
Soon, when she becomes, Annabel, Annabel feels as if being mom is easy, not knowing what is ahead. Her husband Bill, (played by John Astin from Addams Family) wants her to do everything to get ready for the big "Aquacade" that he has planning for some clients (one of them portrayed by Dick Van Patten), such as ironing his shirts, making dinner and all that.... and when mom is Annabel, she discovers her father's sexy secretary. LOL. My favorite scenes in this movie mostly is the hilarity antics that take place. Mostly the constant doorbell ringing of getting the car done, the carpet cleaners, drapery man, even firing Mrs. Schmuts a heavy drinker of a maid. I just love this movie. I don't know why, but I have loved that movie even since I was little. Even the mother connecting with Boris, (although in the book it's Morris). Boris doesn't go to school because of adenoids. Eventually at the end, they are switched back (after a hilarious chase scene with the cops) they learn a lot about themselves. And at the end, Ben and the Father want to switch places oh boy. If u haven't seen this one, and I know my family has, see it. It's a good watch.

Now...The Horrid Version: First off, there is no father. He's DEAD!!! Ok, this is a Disney film alright. Seems Lindsay Lohan as Annabel Andrews is not good as when she was little and was in the Parent Trap (I somewhat liked her in that) The mother, portrayed by want to eat a lot of yogurt Jamie Lee Curtis, named Tess 'Not Ellen' is getting Married. She's also an author I guess, publishing a book, and she and Annabel don't get long (guess they are trying to be like the book but not that much). Also Annabel use to have another friend, but now they're enemies and she tortures Annabel to pieces. Annabel also plays in a rock band and her mother hates it when she plays after dark. Her brother's name is Harry (not Ben) She has a Grandfather, and they go to a Chinese restaurant where they still argue and a woman from the restaurant notices, and gives Annabel and Tess both fortune cookies and when they read it, they feel and Earthquake, but nobody else feels it. Next day comes, which is Friday, and Tess and Annabel are now Annabel and Tess. They have to live each others lives, experience what is going on, and Annabel/Tess thinks her enemy wants to be a friend and writes a noted down but eventually says that she was cheating for her to get back she writes 'I'm Stupid' on her test.  Tess/Annabel deep down doesn't like who she is going to marry and eventually by the end.... well you get the picture. The grandpa and son want to trade paces at the end too. My god this one was not even close to the book as it was the classic 1976 movie. I'll stick with the original movie thank you very much.

Now you know many TV shows have been doing a lot of  'Freaky Friday' switcharoo theme such as the cartoon The Fairly OddParents That have not done one but two episodes about it. But there are many shows and even a movie called the change- up (which is horrible by the way) that want to see what the other person's life is like. Then you learn at the end, what there life is like and how hard it is and maybe you're better where you are now. Now you know the expression "You never know how a person feels unless you're wearing their own shoes" Till then, rent the classic 1976 version and stay away from the other one as far as you can. The Moon Landing 1969

I was not born in the late 60's so I was not blessed with not knowing two great American Hero's setting foot on the moon for the first time almost 43 years ago. I bet to some people, seeing the moon landing was one of the most wonderful things anyone has ever seen in their lives.

Sadly, yesterday, we lost one of the greats. Neil Armstrong had passed away from a heart surgery. He, along with Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins (although he was never mentioned much), were on Apollo 11 to the Moon on July 28th 1969. My cousin was only a month old when this was happening and believe me, this was one happy memory for him.

Everyone was glued to their TV's, radios, wanting to hear every little detail on what was happening on Apollo 11. Also when Neil Armstrong setting foot on that moon and quoting: "That's one small step for a man, One giant leap for Mankind"

That one simple quote changed on how feel differently about the Moon. For years many kids wanting to be astronauts wanted to venture to the moon, seeing what it's like to set foot on that moon. Neil experienced that, he knew what it's like. He wants other to do the same. For kids, they just wanted to be an astronaut, wanting to set foot on the moon,(some kids thought the moon was made of cheese).

He was the first, Buzz was the second. Many other Astronauts want to follow in Neil Armstrong's footsteps. Some people feel that the moon landing was a fake. For those people, they should check their research before spreading rumors like that. Because the moon landing is 100% real.

I wasn't there when it happened, but believe me if I was, I would be in tears like Walter Cronkite was when he was giving the news 43 years ago after hearing Neil Armstrong's speech.

Now Neil Armstrong can travel though the stars as he reaches the heavens and we will all miss him and the ironic thing is, he didn't really like being called a hero. Ciao Bloggers! "THAT'S ONE SMALL STEP FOR A MAN, ONE GIANT LEAP FOR MANKIND."- Neil Armstrong (1930-2012)

Titanic Movie: The Good, The Sad and The Depressing

Now everyone knows the famous 1997 version of Titanic with Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate Winslet in love with each other than knowing that love is stronger than any iceberg would keep them apart even though he dies.

Well some people like it, others hate it, and others love it. I LOVE IT!!! I however don't like Leonardo Di Caprio and I really didn't cry much when he died and sank in the water like my mom did, but i just loved how much of the history and accuracy they added in it. I don't know if it was 100% accurate but they did manage to get most of the historic accuracy of the passengers that survived and died when Titanic sank on April 15th 1912, and I cannot believe it has been 100 years since that happened.

There were very good actors that portrayed actual people that were on the Titanic such as 'Molly' Brown portrayed by Kathy Bates (who did a wonderful job in my opinion), Thomas Andrews [who died on the ship] portrayed by Victor Gambor, Captain John Smith [who also died on the ship] was portrayed by Bernard Hill. There is many Historical characters in the movie, some that passed away on the ship and some that survived.

But the main story wasn't just about Titanic and it's last maiden voyage, but about two lovers. Rose and Jack. And we all know how it went. He's poor, she's rich, She's engaged, he doesn't care, because deep down inside, he knew she doesn't like the rich life, I mean she did try to kill herself because of it all. Her mother hated Jack. She wanted her to stay with Cal (played by the cute and sexy Billy Zane) [why do I always fine the bad guys hot?] mostly because of their money troubles and that he was rich. But love, to her, was more powerful than anything, even the heart of the ocean, worn around her neck wasn't enough to tempt her to stay with Cal.

TTYTT: Matthew McHonahay was going to be Jack but had a scheduling problems at the time and couldn't do it (THANK U GOD) Many actors were on for the role of Cal before Billy Zane got the part such as Rupert Evert or Pierce "007" Brosnan or even Rob Lowe- now that would have been interesting.

The old lady, portrayed by the late Gloria Stuart, was the only actress who had experienced the Titanic in real life since she was only a year old when it happened. She plays Old Rose who tells the whole story as if it happened only yesterday. They said it brought horrid memories into Gloria Stuart and she didn't like it one bit.

The movie is over three to four hours long, I could handle that, because it feels as if the story is going by so fat and you see when the movie ends how long it has been once you check your watch.

At the end she's asleep and I didn't understand the scene at the end where there are a bunch of people at the end.   Well the ending is both wonderful and sad. It seems her shadow is wondering through the remains of the ship and she gets to a door where it opens and all the 1,500 souls that were lost when Titanic sank are there greeting her, she is still walking she finally meets Jack at the top of the stairs. He is waiting for her, and she is young Kate Winslet again. That scene makes me tear, because if she dies of it is a dream or what. It is all up to the audience's point of view and what think happened at the end, but before all that, the old Gloria Stuart, god rest her soul, walks to the side of a ship and drops the heart of the ocean necklace into the sea where it belongs.

If you haven't seen this movie, GO SEE IT! It is wonderful James Cameron work. So beautiful, and yes even the song "My Heart will go on" will be irritating at times, but you hear it while watching this movie, it's worth it, and do not (and yes they do exist) get the cartoon movie versions of Titanic. You will regret it if you do.
I'm not a big fan of Leonardo Di Caprio and I did not cry when he died at the end. If another blonde (not Matthew McHonahay) took his part ( like Matt Damon) took his part, I would have cried. He's a great actor, I just didn't care for him in this role but it did make him and Kate Winslet super stars.  Caio Bloggers!!! MY HEART WILL GO ON!!!!

Does it feel as if summer's ending too quickly????

It's not even the end of summer yet (and it's not even the end of August yet as well), and I've seen Halloween stuff up already. Not a lot of it. Mostly candy wise.

Peeps marshmallows already has out the ghost and pumpkins, and m&m's has the autumn candy out along with a new candy corn color white chocolate flavored m&m. Hershey's kisses has their autumn foil wraps already taken care of as well.

Is it me or is it just when I blink Summer just dispersed from our eyes. The Summer Olympics ended already. Came as if a bolt lightning struck and left us already.

All the kids now are either happy, or depressed to get ready to go back to school. I just can't stand those stupid back to school commercials Target and Kmart and JCPenny have given us lately, just nonsense is what it is.

Seeing the end of summer go is hard for some people, but it hasn't happened yet. It's only the middle of August, but it just feels like it has been the end of a season as Autumn comes around the corner. My birthday is around Autumn, but not till the end of it, but right now let's enjoy what we have left of the summer.
Because before you know it, Autumn will come and go as well.

Caio bloggers, enjoy summer while u still can and congratulations to USA for winning the most gold medals!

My own famous quotes and opinions of my own

I see many famous quotes go by that get published and said out such as, "Speak softly, and carry and carry a big stick" "A penny saved is a penny is a penny earned" "What is today but yesterday's tomorrow." and many more.

There are so many famous quotes said by famous celebrities, historians, presidents, what not. But I have some of my own sayings that I would like to write about. But some people have had their quotes said and they never had their thanks in saying it.

For instance, Maybe Ben Franklin really never coined the phrase: "Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security, will deserve neither and lose both." Maybe someone else said it and he made it famous.  We never know who starts up these opinions or quotes that become famous. I have my own quotes that I don't know will become famous one day, but I would like some people to know, I have an opinion.

"To cherish and remember are two different things. Remembering something you love is equily important with cherishing the love you have with the person you love."

"They say a man can only be only feel human when you see him cry for the first time."

"Being wrong or right is not a choice, it just shows we are human, and can correct the mistakes we make in life."

"When you find the right person you love, and cherish, you'll hear a choir of angels sing in the background."

"Feeling pain doesn't have to hurt. Words hurts worse than any needle would."

I have a lot of quotes and opinions that I like to post day by day.  Not all the time though, but going on line lately, I've seen interesting quotes about pain, sorrow, even funny quotes as well. I have some funny quotes.  Here's one:

"Once you see something green on the hard wood floor, you know the party is over."
It just comes to me like that sometimes, even stories to. One of my stories has quotes in it.
One of these quotes is where a woman trapped in a book with the help of the Black Knight who never talks but gives out advice as if he was a fortune cookie one was: "Have Faith in yourself. Things will turn out great. You've already made a friend, me. I might not talk much, but I indeed listen. Don't be afraid. I'll be here with you no matter what."

It just seems sometimes quotes can be uplifting, hurtful or even funny, you just have to find the one that can change everything. One quote can make a day good, bad or even special. And that's opinion. Ciao Bloggers.

What I like about the olympics

Ever since I was young, I loved watching the Summer Olympics. Mostly the swimming and the running. I started watching around mid 90's mostly 96 when it came to Atlanta, and well I just liked it a lot, grew to enjoy our athletes even more. Knowing that getting there is half the battle, and being there is much more of a journey.

It takes heart, strength, courage, power to earn not only a medal but to make your country proud of you. But to tell you the truth, I think all these athletes are heroes in their own way.

What I like about it is the Olympics mostly is the parade in the beginning. Granted it's long, but it is fun to see the countries fighting out for a medal. Some more countries come around every other year while others don't compete for personal reasons. This year it seems that there are more countries competing this year than any other year.

I also like to watch the winter Olympics as well. Not as much as Summer Olympics, but still fun to watch of course. But for some reason, I'm more into Summer Olympics, and the thing is every year that is a leap year, not only we have a new President elected we also get the summer Olympics.

America has shown great strive in the years that has come such as 1996 when young 19 year old Kerri Strug finished her gymnastics and won a medal on hurt ankle. And don't forget Michael Phleps and his many gold medals when he went go Beijing last Summer Olympics. I route for USA every Summer Olympics and I will for a long time. GO USA!!!!! Caio Bloggers!!! GO for the Gold!

Wizard of Oz Slot machines

I don't play a lot of slot games when I'm at a casino, but when I do, there's one in paticular that I really like.

Two of them, with one theme. "WIZARD OF OZ"  One of them is the glass slipper version where if you get the bonus wilds, you get the glass slipper tapping and bubbles popping everywhere.
I remember seeing one guy get all wilds and won over $9,000 dollars. Lucky him.

Every time a character would pop up as well as say the wicked witch or the the wizard, you would get a bonus spin and if you get another character, you get a bonus game. The witch one I don't like. Every time you pick a ruby, you risk picking the witch and I hated that, because I end up getting the witch the first time.
The wizard gives you free spins. I like that one, there's also a cryastal ball one that gives you free credits, which is nice.

Another wizard of oz slot game I like (but I don't play often at the borgata) is the original wizard of oz game (picture shown up), where you can get a bonus by selecting one of the three bonuses that come up. One of the bonuses I hate, going to the Emerald city. Why? Because, just in the other slot machine, I get the Emerald city first and I have to select another ruby first just to get in. Once in a while I do a get a character to get in. The Flying Monkey bonus is free spin game  Glenda is good luck and I like it when she comes, mostly because she sends free wilds. On the other one, you never know when the free wilds will come up, but when Glenda starts blinking, watch out. I once got four wilds. I was happy. I remember being on one machine and kept getting Glenda non stop. I liked that.

There are many Wizard of Oz slot machines, and I wouldn't be surprised if there were more coming soon, but these are the only two I play. Enjoy your summer, bloggers ! God Rest the 12 lost souls in Aurora, Colorado.

Goodbye Griffith Goodbye Borgnine

Is it me or is this year just cursed with losing great talent. Now we lost two great actors. Ernest Borgnine and Andy Griffith.

Andy Griffith had his own show from 1960 to 1968. He was a struggling widower sheriff who took in a child named Opie (portrayed by Ron Howard) and his sidekick Barney Fife (portrayed by the late Don Knotts)

Andy Griffith also was in Matlock as well for a few years. He portrayed Matlock of course. He was in other television shows as well, but was in small rolls. He was still acting was still acting in his old age in the movie Waitress where he played an old customer named Joe who always come in for a piece of pie.

But his most known was for portraying that Sheriff which I bet he'll be doing in heaven with Barney Fife.

Another great we lost recently was Ernest Borgnine. He was 95. He was most known for McHale's Navy portraying Quentin McHale, the lead. He was many movie roles as well. He also was in Airwolf, voiced a superhero on Spongebob Squarepants, and won an Academy Award for Marty.

Ernest Borgnine was still acting in his old age. He was in the skit "what's up with that" on SNL. Mostly his last known TV performance. He never got a chance to say much, but he was still cracking up at the end. And made us laugh all the time, no matter what character he played.

He and Griffith will be missed. Goodbye both great talented actors. RIP and hopefully you'll like my dog Fudge as company with u.

Itchy and Scratchy show. (ARE THEY LIKE TOM AND JERRY?)

If u watch 'The Simpsons' then you would know "Itchy and Scratchy show"

Itchy is a mouse while Scratchy is a cat. Scratchy would always end up being killed in almost every episode, except for one where he kidnaps and ties up Itchy but we never know what happens because the TV gets unplugged. And for some reason, some of the episodes of Itchy and Sctachy are just the same the Simpsons. The new ones of Itchy and Scratchy they have today are pretty lame.

They even try to add in a dog named Poochy (which Homer voiced) but that didn't work out too well. They decided to get rid of that character and just keep Itchy and Scratchy.

Their first appearance on the Simpsons was on the episode "there's no disgrace like home" Marge hated the violence Itchy and Scratchy had set an example for Maggie by almost killing Homer that she forced the creators of the show to make a friendlier episode of Itchy and Scratchy, but it was more trippier than you think.

Even the real creator of Itchy (voiced by Kirk Douglas) thinks that Roger Myers stole Itchy's design and claimed it as his own, until he is found out as a fraud and Itchy and Scratchy is canceled, but then another set of kids (that look like Bart and Lisa) discover that Mr. Zip was a rip off of Roger Myers stick figure creation that he designed years ago.

There are so many episodes of the Simpsons that have Itchy and Scratchy in it, even the new ones. Even though the new episodes are getting more stale, Itchy and Scratchy are not like Tom and Jerry. Itchy kills Scratchy while Tom and Jerry just hurt each other in every episode.

Till then Caio Bloggers (RIP FUDGE 1999-2012)

It's Ice Cream Month.

It's Already July! I know I can't believe it's already July. What do I love about this month? Well how about it being a whole month dedicated to ICE CREAM!!!!!

     That's right Ice Cream.
Cool huh! I love Ice Cream. Mostly chocolate scoop on a cone. Licking it till it's gone. Now that is heaven.  I have a favorite Ice Cream Shop called Jitty Joe's but it's up in Northern PA. I go there all the time when I have to go to Old Forge, PA to visit my grandfather's grave around Memorial day. How they don't have a store near me, I don't know why.

I'm posting a lot about Ice Cream on Facebook throguh July. The history, most popular brands, tid-bits what have yeah. There are some brands of ice cream that sell fro-yo and lactose intolerant ice cream as well that is sweet.

Almost everyone in the world has ice cream. In Italy they call it 'Gelato' It's sweeter than ice cream and less sugary.  In China, they have an ice cream made of mung beans. That sounds gross, but to China, they love it. I just stick to chocolate on a cone.

There is also regional stores that sells ice cream like 'Ben and Jerry's' 'Hagan Daz' and even 'TCBY' I love TCBY. It use to be called. This can't be yogurt. Now it's changed to the Country's best yogurt. I'm going to enjoy some ice cream now. Enjoy July and Ice Cream month as well. And blog back when u can back tell me what your favorite ice cream flavor is. Ciao Bloggers and HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!!!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!

Want to wish every father, godfather, grandfather, step-father, any father a happy and safe and great Father's day.
Not as special as Mother's day, but still important. Why, because every father matters. Every father is there for their child to care, to be there when needed. To hold their child's hand when hurt or needed help.

My dad has been there for me for a long long time and I have loved him ever since. He's given me a second chance in life and I thank him for it. My dad is my angel, just like my mom. I miss my grandfathers and think about them very much around this time. My mom's dad died in 93 and my dad's dad died in 98 but their memories are still in my heart.

I want to wish them, as well as every man in the world that fathered a child a HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!
   (Won't Blog again till July)

My experiences with MRI's

Most of the time, not all the time, I have to be in the hospital at CHOP and they would have to place me in this huge casket like tube called an MRI or in other words Magnetic Resonance Imaging for short.

I have to be on this cold table, they have to put an IV in me (which they do every time I'm in the GD hospital) so they can inject some glowing goo into my body. Some people have to deal with MRI's in their life. I have have it once every two years for my heart ever since I was a little girl. When I was little, my mom always said that I would fidget and not cooperate (especially during the IV session) and they would have to get other doctors to hold me down (NOT KIDDING HERE)

I love my heart and I just don't like being in hospitals. Every time I'm in CHOP, it's a trip down bad memory lane to me. Mostly in the summer, once every two years I think, I would have to go for this MRI for my heart so they see if everything is OK. It would take them two to three hours just to see if my heart was OK. Being nervous in the hospital is nothing new to me. But CHOP hospital in Philadelphia is like a maze. You can barely find where you're going. At least we found the place.
Now a days, it's not a hassle, but deep down, I'm still scared to be in the hospital like any other normal person would be. I'm not the only one that gets MRI's and they are not just for the heart. They can be for a broken bone too.

However, the worse part is the noise the machine would make. I mean, yes I'm glad it was taking pictures of my heart and all, but still I just had to hold my breath for a few seconds while the machine made real loud noises. It was just insane. Two hours to be in there. Half the time, I fell asleep, but still was able to focus on what they were saying from the outside. MRI's are not fun, but sometimes, they are needed, especially in my case. Till then, Caio Bloggers! Till next time. Enjoy the summertime!

Richard Dawson, you will be missed (FAMILY FEUD)

First it was the greatest Richard Dawson that made Family Feud a household name. Shaking the hands of men and kissing the ladies. And after he left, Family Feud went down hill of hosts.

I just think Richard Dawson was the best Family Feud Host. Don't get me wrong Steve Harvey is Ok and so was John O'Hurley but before them you had LOUIE ANDERSON??? You have got to be kidding me.

Richard Dawson was also in Hogans Heroes as well portraying Corporal Peter Newkirk for a couple of years. He also was in a game show as a contestant in Match Game. He had a son, Mark Dawson who worked as an assistant and question writer for game shows like "PRICE IS RIGHT" and father's games "MATCH GAME" and "FAMILY FEUD"

Richard Dawson was funny, clever and every time there would be a blooper on his family feud show You Tube would always be there to catch it. Like the famous 'Alligator' blooper. That one was funny. If you haven't seen, give it a good watch. We will miss you Mr. Dawson the best Family Feud host and an irreplaceable game show host as well as Dick Clark. Hope there's Family Feud in Heaven.

The curse of an unseen movie: "Atuk"

If you have never heard of this movie, don't worry. Not many have. What is "Atuk?"  It was suppose to be a movie about a fat Eskimo that goes from Alaska to New York City or something like that. The Inuit for it would be Grandfather, but I digress.

It was going to be something big for Hollywood of course to make a screenplay about it. But first, they needed an actor to portray Atuk. They chose John Belushi, one of the great funny men of the 80's. He read the script and was enthusiastic about it. But sadly, he died of a drug overdose and they had to choose somebody else.
They then went with Sam Kinson. He wanted to make a few changes to the script and walked away from, halting the movies production. Sadly, Sam Kinson was killed in a car crash while his wife (who was in the car at the time) survived the crash.

Soon they felt there had been a curse to this "Atuk" Movie, but Hollywood just thought it had to be an urban legend and gave the script to John Candy. He agreed to the movie, then suddenly died of a heart attack in 1994. In that same year, the curse claimed another life. One of the writers, Michael O'Donahough, died of a cerebral hemorrhage.
Eventually the script was given to another comedian, Chris Farley (who idolized John Belushi's work) and agreed to be in the movie. He even showed the script to his SNL friend, Phil Hartman. Sadly both of them died. Chris from a drug overdose and Phil was murdered.

After all that, taking the lives of six great people, Hollywood decided to can the film and to never let the script see the light of day again, but then again, could it just be a coincidence that six people died from reading the script and thought curse had been real??? or was it just suspicion feeling that if another comedian touched the "Atuk" script they would die? Who knows.

Hollywood is known to have many curses, weather it be from movies or actors. The curse age of dying at 27 already took Amy Winehouse's life. Poltergeist has a curse they say which caused that small girl to die at a young age, but then it could have been a coincidence, could it???

The question is, do you believe in urban legends??? Ciao for now bloggers

What's wrong with NBC???

First off, I don't watch too much TV, just some shows I like. I started getting annoyed. Well first off, there is particular show I really liked and I thought would last for a long while called "Awake" staring a guy who wakes up in two different worlds after a car accident takes the life of either his son or his wife. It was really great.
Then the dimwits of NBC decide it wasn't worth watching so they decide to axe it. They've axed some NBC shows that I've agreed were pretty bad, but there is this one show that is horrible, and barely anyone watches it and yet is STILL ON THE AIR!!!!! I don't know why? I just don't understand it, it just is mind boggling. The show is called 'Whitney.' It's about a woman who lives in the suburbs.. it's just a stupid show. Barley anyone watches it, the ratings are down, it's just really stupid. I just don't understand it. That's NBC for you.

They have axed some other shows that I don't care for on other stations that I don't care for. That's OK. It's NBC that's driving me crazy. If it wasn't for 'Community' coming back for another season, I wouldn't even be watching NBC. That station should be paying more attention to the ratings of the shows they are keeping on and see what shows really need to be axed, but I digress.

I'm more into music, I just get a little irritated when a show I like gets cancelled too soon (except for that NBC show 'Free Agents') that was doomed to be cancelled. Hope for new and better shows in the future, and I have a feeling some people are getting tired of 'The Office' and '30 Rock' which is ending next year.

Till then (goodbye to all the shows that have not seen season two) Ciao bloggers and happy Mother's day!

What is a MOM- POEM

So much caring and love she brings,
Sweet nourishment for their child,
Giving birth is more a blessing,
because
it makes a woman
become a mother

Love for her children and family,
What she does,
and now what the children can do,
for their mom.

Even if a woman adopts a child,
she is still considered a mother.

For now Mother's day is here,
and is now mom's turn to rest and relax,
because being a mom is not only an easy task,
but it is a wondrous one as well

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Palindromes

What is a palindrome, why am I blogging about Palindromes? I just wanted to blog about something unique. Something strange, something neat, something a teacher would enjoy (like my mom)

Palindromes are what a word or a sentence is the same is front and back such as Otto or Hannah or Rise to vote, sir. They are are Palindromes, unique palindromes, but Palindromes of the least. They are very many sentences that are palindromes but many people don't realize it until they read it front to back like Stack a cats. That's a palindrome of course.

There are some cities in states that are Palindromes such as:
Kinikinik which is in Colorado and another place called Semmes which is in Alabama and Countries have Palindrome places too such as:
Tumut in Australia and Lon Nol in Vietnam

There are even companies (that might not realize) their name is a Palindrome. Zerorez is a carpet company that is also a palindrome name. There will always be words and once in a while there will always be a Palindrome. We just will never realize it unless we look front to back. Caio Bloggers! (Kayak)

Remembering Dick Clark

Found out that Dick Clark had died today of a heart attack. He was considered somewhat a legend. Starting his career in Philadelphia with American Bandstand making some famous people ala Gladys Knight or Percy Sledge become stars just like Randy Jackson is doing today on Idol and Agulara is doing on the voice.

Dick Clark went on to do so much more, like becoming a game show host for $10,000 pyramid and $50,000 pyramid and New Years' Rockin' Eve which my family and I heard him do for many many years until his stroke and Ryan Seacrest took over and it got a little sad. He did radio programs in the beginning before making it huge on TV. American Bandstand lasted till about 1980's.

He made guest appearances on TV shows like Fresh Prince of Bel Air, The Simpsons, Dharma and Greg. He even had his own Dick Clark show. Dick Clark world of talent that lasted from September to December of 1959.

He was indicted in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. There is even a restaurant in Missouri called Dick Clark's AB  Grille and another one called Dick Clark's Bandstand — Food, Spirits & Fun

Dick Clark suffered a stroke in 2004 after also suffering from type 2 diabetes.  He returned to television even though he still had a stroke he was not much the same but he spark personality was still there. We will miss him so much but happily to say, there will now be an American Bandstand in heaven . Rest in peace Dick Clark.

Independent- poem

We are all adults after 18
We look for different ways in life
We even stay in or move out of our childhood house
and into the new world
We grow more better in life
find jobs that suit us right
but it doesn't have to be after we are 18
Some of us still live in our childhood house,
others depart,
some have jobs very young,
while others wait a while longer,
we'll either marry young or old,
but once we are this particular age,
we make our own decisions,
our own mistakes,
our own choices,
and why,
there is one thing about us
we become
INDEPENDENT

Poetry Month

It is April and yes, it is Poetry Month. I love Poetry! I love reading it I love to write it I just love poetry.

I don't know why, but I've been addicted to the written word of poems. I love to write my own poems. I've been writing poetry since I was eleven and took poetry classes when I was in high school and in night classes. I might want to take another night class in the future but right now, I'll be OK, but if there is availability for a poetry class, I'm going to take it.

I want to further my poetry writing, and my other writing as well. I love to write. I'm not a big fan of reading, but for some reason, some authors do get inspirations from other stories as well as their own life. I have two story ideas I might start soon, and I want to further on my poetry as well.

So for the whole month of April to the beginning of May I'm going to post a famous poem on Facebook once in a while
and the poet of that poem as well. I already did one and I'm going 2 post another on Thursday. Will blog again soon Maybe with another of my poems! Caio Bloggers! Keep reading (even if it is poetry)

Why is Google confusing to me?

I remember when Google use to just be simple but now, they're is Google+, gMail and so much more that Google does that just well, let's just say Google is a little more complected than it use to be a long time ago.

I usually use Google for image searches and other searches as well, but now, It's getting a little more complicated, but I'm still in the process of knowing it. I was so nervous wondering if changing things from one (Comcast) to another (Google) was going to make things I use like blogging and YouTube worse, I just now made it a little. Still in the beginning process of GMail and Google+ I'm not really concerned about. I'm more into Facebook. Google still is complicated, but I'll get use to it. I only use it to search for things anyway. BTW: HAPPY SPRING EVERYBODY. Will blog again in the beginning of April!

Disney Villain Songs

I've enjoyed listening to Disney villain song lately like: "Be Prepared" by the lion king or "Poor Unfortunate Souls" by the little mermaid. Even Anastasia's "In the dark of the night" (Ok Anastasia is not a Disney movie but you know what I mean.)

Some of them aren't even that good, but I still like to hear them. You can't actually tell but voice actor Jim Cummings are actually singing "In the dark of the Night" and "Be Prepared" you would think It was Christopher Lloyd (Anastasia) and Jeremy Irons (Lion King) {Although Jeremy did do a little bit of singing in "Be Prepared" but not a lot}
Christopher Lloyd However can't sing really well. Jeremy Irons did try-but he did lose his voice. Jim Cummings is a great voice actor and has voiced many cartoon characters like "Pete" In Mickey Mouse cartoons. He is currently voicing both Tigger and Winnie the Pooh now and hearing those "Villainous" songs, a kids childhood might die inside. But he is still a great singer.

I just am enjoying these villainous songs. Don't get me wrong. Some Disney songs are very good while others are very cheesy. But the villains songs are very good. Very memorable. It seems that it has to do with mostly the whole band playing every instrument and just making the whole song seem so
reprehensible, evil and just plain unlikable to the main protagonist.
It seems to be the most catchiest songs. (so is
Hakuna Matata.) Till the Ciao Bloggers!
