Will 2018 be like 2017

       Image result for 2017 year

We all know the stories that took place in 2017. Including a celebrity (many of them) being accused of well... you know rape or whatever happened, and women coming forward now after Matt Laour, Kevin Spacey even Dustin Hoffman were accused and it all started with one producer who couldn't keep it in his pants. Shootings happen, the most tragic of all was in Las Vegas
A flub in the Oscars reaving Moonlight won best in picture and not La La Land.

Every year, we think to ourselves, will the next year be better? Will it be the same? Will we have more tragedies, shootings, dead celebrities, and a president that doesn't know what he's doing? Who knows.

We always think the next coming year, we'll change everything, but then there are stories that make the year amazing, worth wile and even interesting. Then again, it's another year. New changes in life, babies born, and a long winter that could be short (depending on a certain groundhog) Even the holidays, every year, seem to get closer. Last year, we had a solar eclipse and we aren't getting one of those again for a long, long time.

Image result for 2017 gif For 2018, we'll try to lose weight, find love and even be happier. Right?

Who knows. It's just a year. As long as we survive one year, and then another, that's what matters. Till then, Enjoy the New Year coming and hopefully, something positive will happen in 2018, right? Ciao and Happy New Year Bloggers

Are you afraid of the dark?

Image result for are you afraid of the dark

An old show from the 90's that made children run crying to their mothers, or so I thought. To me, looking back at it now, It wasn't as scary as I thought. Some early episodes were actually creepy, such as the ghost that went through the mirror to scare a young girl, but all she needed was the love of her mother to go into the afterlife with her.
Image result for are you afraid of the dark ghost girlAnother one is a ghost that keeps shouting "I'm Cold" over and over. Another is where a girl sees her friend turned into a doll in a small dollhouse. I don't get it, but it was creepy.Related image
Some of the episodes have characters that appear often in some. One named Dr. Vink, an old man who has potions and always is the one that gets the kids into trouble. Like two boys and a haunted cab. Or even a haunted movie theater. Or Sardo who has his own magic shop. I never understood or why these certain characters popped up in almost every episode.

Even guest stars, young as they were, were also in some episodes. Melissa Jo Heart was in the episode whit the cold ghost boy. Ryan Gosling was in one when he tried to save his brother from Gilbert Godfried who thought the young boy was already dead and trying to take him to the other side.

Bobcat Goldwait was in an episode where he is a psychotic sandman. Tia and Tamera Moway were chameleons? It went too far after that.

Even though there were some guest stars, they weren't as popular as they are today. Even Jewel State, from Disney's Flash Forward, was also in an episode that involved three women who are ghosts and torturing her, along with another girl.

Now a days, it is no longer on Nick, but it can be played on YouTube. I liked some episodes, while others, well weren't as great. I'm not a fan of Dr. Vink or Sardo. They weren't my favorites.

What is the midnight society up to now, some of them aren't around the acting career anymore. Some are. One is a voice actress on the cartoon "Arthur." (WOW that show's still on the air.)

Till then, it can be scary like Goosebumps tv show scary, then again it's lame and whatever. But better than Tales of the Crypt. That show is ok, but not for kids. This is a kids version of Tales of the Crypt. I liked it when I was kid, and to me it's 90's nostalgia. Ciao Bloggers and don't be afraid.

Best & Worst Holiday Movies

Image result for horrible christmas movies Well it seems some holiday movies are not meant to be viewed by Human Beings. They almost destroyed the reputation by making a musical with "A Christmas Story live!" on Fox. Making it into more a musical.
   What was Fox network thinking????

There are other train wreck holiday specials like:

Santa Muscles: Staring Hulk Hogan as Santa with muscles? I don't know, seeing him in Mr. Nanny was not helping either. He needed a Paycheck.
Image result for horrible christmas movies I got nothing for this one but "SHAME ON THE ACTORS"

Image result for Shrek ChristmasThere's also some Christmas specials like Shrek the Halls. LOL I never saw it but I don't think this one particular special is worth seeing. Then again the sequels weren't great either.

Image result for horrible christmas movies I got nothing as well. It feels as if these two have to date before Christmas day, or give presents.

"I'll be home for Christmas" Is another one, staring JTT trying to get home for Christmas to get a car. There's another one with Home alone, after the crappy Home alone three, there's another one that is around the Holiday Season called: Home Alone: The Holiday Heist. It seems every Home Alone Movie gets worse after the second one. WTH!!!!

But, even if there are bad movies, there are still some good ones to balance it out.
"Arthur Christmas" is one of them. About a young boy whose going to become the next Santa, but it seems the elder Santa Claus doesn't want to give up the job. I haven't seen much of it but it is worth the watch. I would put this one on the plus.

The ORIGINAL Christmas Story that starred Peter Billingsley as Ralph and the late Darren McGavin as the old man.

I've already told about many of my favorites Christmas Stories long ago, and even though the ones we have now aren't as great as the originals, they are ok, and others well, get coal for Christmas.

I loved the Original Home Alone, and Home Alone two was fine. Those would be the only "Home Alone" movies worth seeing and not just because of Macully Culken.

The Bishop's wife is another oldie but goody. Carey Grant and Loretta Young (god rest their souls) were amazing and it seemed to be revolved around Carey Grant's role the angel that helps out the bishop, portrayed by David Nven find some happiness in his life. It's really good. The vintage holiday movies like:
Image result for vintage holiday movies, Roman Holiday with Gregory Peck, White Christmas staring Bing Crosby as the lead, portraying an entertainer for the armies over seas. Miracle on 34th street was very good. Both versions the 1947 and even the redone version with Mara Wilson and the late Richard Attenborough as St. Nick. Although not many people like the 1994 version, I was ok with it. Actually, I liked both.

Vintage or just plain amazing, Holiday Movies are special to us. Even if some are rotten like the redone version of "The Grinch" staring Jim Carrey (stick to the cartoon) it doesn't mean they are worth the watch. Maybe it's because of Nostalgia or even because we love them. And some of them don't even focus on Christmas, but is around the holidays like:

Love Actually, where it revolves around many people trying to celebrate the holidays their way. It is worth a watch, I love this movie and the soundtrack. A boy in love, hiding a romance because you're the prime minister or even thinking you might not be in love, and yet try to make it better for everyone else. All in one place.

Till then: Holiday movies are special to people. Like "It's a wonderful life", "Home Alone" and "A Christmas story" are to me.

Even if the Live Fox version almost destroyed "A Christmas Story" doesn't mean the actors are bad. They did an ok job, but deep down, it is not worth seeing.

Holiday Movies are special to us, no matter what you see. Ciao bloggers, and happy holidays
