An old show from the 90's that made children run crying to their mothers, or so I thought. To me, looking back at it now, It wasn't as scary as I thought. Some early episodes were actually creepy, such as the ghost that went through the mirror to scare a young girl, but all she needed was the love of her mother to go into the afterlife with her.
Another one is a ghost that keeps shouting "I'm Cold" over and over. Another is where a girl sees her friend turned into a doll in a small dollhouse. I don't get it, but it was creepy.
Some of the episodes have characters that appear often in some. One named Dr. Vink, an old man who has potions and always is the one that gets the kids into trouble. Like two boys and a haunted cab. Or even a haunted movie theater. Or Sardo who has his own magic shop. I never understood or why these certain characters popped up in almost every episode.
Even guest stars, young as they were, were also in some episodes. Melissa Jo Heart was in the episode whit the cold ghost boy. Ryan Gosling was in one when he tried to save his brother from Gilbert Godfried who thought the young boy was already dead and trying to take him to the other side.
Bobcat Goldwait was in an episode where he is a psychotic sandman. Tia and Tamera Moway were chameleons? It went too far after that.
Even though there were some guest stars, they weren't as popular as they are today. Even Jewel State, from Disney's Flash Forward, was also in an episode that involved three women who are ghosts and torturing her, along with another girl.
Now a days, it is no longer on Nick, but it can be played on YouTube. I liked some episodes, while others, well weren't as great. I'm not a fan of Dr. Vink or Sardo. They weren't my favorites.
What is the midnight society up to now, some of them aren't around the acting career anymore. Some are. One is a voice actress on the cartoon "Arthur." (WOW that show's still on the air.)
Till then, it can be scary like Goosebumps tv show scary, then again it's lame and whatever. But better than Tales of the Crypt. That show is ok, but not for kids. This is a kids version of Tales of the Crypt. I liked it when I was kid, and to me it's 90's nostalgia. Ciao Bloggers and don't be afraid.
