It's like a bad dream

and I want to wake up,

But it's true,

she is gone,

Dolly Parton,

has died

We didn't want to believe it,

we didn't want it to happen,

not to her,

80,

is still young,

to us

The fans,

are devastated

mourning

crying

wishing it weren't true

when it sadly is

We still love her

even in death

She made us happy

surround her memorial

for Dolly

We can't believe,

she is gone

and she isn't the only one

has joined her in heaven

She has been in movies

like Steel Magnolias

to 9 to 5

for that movie

 Flowers,

Memorals,

even an airport in Nashville

named after her

We will miss her

we will always remember 

the good things 

she has done for us

a ray of sunshine
