Poltergeist is one of them. Using actual skeletons in some scenes might have caused the death of five people, including little girl Heather O'Rouke.
In my opinion, some movies do hold curses. One of them was a movie that was never released to the public called... well I forget the name of it, but it involved an artic Eskimo and well because of the deaths of: Jon Baluchi, Sam Kinison, John Candy, Chris Farley, Phil Hartman and another actor I'm sure of...
all died from different circumstances after reading the story of the movie. The script was never given to another living soul. "Atuk" it was called.
This curse is known as the 'Dark Knight' Curse.
This curse claimed the lives of two stuntmen as well as the joker actor, Heath Ledger.
Coming out in 2008, this movie hit box offices, and won many awards, but behind the scenes was another story.
Heath Ledger couldn't get an ounce of sleep once he portrayed the role of the joker. Not because his character was scary, but he just wanted to practice on and on to get the right part. Even at the point of scaring a few actors that they would forget their own lines.
Morgan Freeman was in a car accident as well. His car flipping around and around, but he came out unharmed. Although he did have to go to the hospital to check to see if he broke a bone.
A few stunt performers did die during some fight scenes, but not many people think anyone would end dying "because" of the movie.
And then, in January of 2008, Heath Ledger was pronounced dead. Was it the curse of the Dark Knight?? We don't know. He was found dead in a hotel room after overdosing on pills he was taking for his insomnia.
Maybe it wasn't a curse, but it was still sad. Some movies can feel cursed, and other movies, may only feel cursed for different reasons. Why? Who knows...
maybe what is cursed about these movies is we choose to believe that weren't meant to be seen by anyone.
Then again....it's only a movie, cursed or not
