Are Revenge of the Nerds copying off Animal House

Let me put this to do you in details to you that you would understand,

Revenge of the Nerd came out in 1984 when Anima House came out in 1978

Both movies involved Erodes who would become popular in the end and do something right.

First, it started with: Animal House

But the dean had other plans. He wanted them off the campus for good. Having the Omega's (one portrayed by a young Kevin Bacon at the time) take over the campus and throwing the Delta Tai Chu out.

At the end of the movie, the Delta Tai Chu gets the last laugh when it comes to a race during their homecoming parade which they ruin.

How does this compare to Revenge of the nerds?

Well first off, two teenage collage nerds (one played by Robert Carradine) are going to a college and are enrolled in Alpha Betas.

Pissing off the Jocks of the college, calling them: "NERDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Their coach (played by John Goodman) seems to bully the Dean feeling as if he too was a nerd as well.

Ted McGinley portrays the villains of the lead jock who thinks of them as nothing but nerds and doesn't want them to even be a part of society, let alone be in the school.

The nerds soon find love, one of them is actually one of jock's ex- girlfriends who the lead nerd made out with and they eventually, by the end put on a show the blew the competition out of the water.

How do they similar and differ to being college movies?

First off, I feel the plots seem differ by not only writing and sound score but also the situation of story.
Yes it is from the point of view of college students that are misfits, but it seems that, in these situations, the man leads are losers.

They find their way to get to where want to be in life, and to even stay in college as well.

Both Movies are worth a watch that is for sure.

A lot of shows now a days are starting to become nerd friendly. Showing losers, even if they are at a school, university or even at camp where they are a pack of losers that end up becoming winners.

These two movies might have started the trend, but it hasn't ended yet.
