They brought back some of the people that were in the show since the seventies. Bob McGrath, Rosco Omen, Linda (the woman who is deaf and teaches children sign language) appeared in this special with a few celebrities like Kareem Abdul Jabar, Lucy Liu, Amanda Seyfiled, Bill Nye, Josh Gad, Zooey Deschanel...just so many wonderful people giving their greatness to a show that has lasted longer than the Simpsons.
Joseph Gordon Levitt wants to have his picture taken with the famous Sesame Street sign, but when Elmo and a few other Sesame Street Muppets find the sign has vanished, they try to stall Joseph as much as they can as they go off to find the missing sign.

50 years of learning, helping out, having fun and always wondering where to get to Sesame Street. And we still don't know where to go. Happy 50th Anniversary, Sesame Street
