Crank Yankers 2019

Image result for crank yankers Sometimes, Comedy Central can be crude, irritating, disgusting...well not all the time, and I'm not talking about South Park. Many years ago, they had a show that involved the use of puppets. It's as if Muppets were on crack and using the telephone. Yes, it's about prank calls with puppets.

The characters they have on the show can be a mentally retrarted puppet to a gross out event involving sex, toilet humor or anything that is useful for Comedy Central and this is definitely not for kids.

Characters like:

  * Spoonie luv- Voiced by Tracy Morgan; considered a lover, would call people for advice whether it's about love, how to make love and even how to well...you get the picture

*Hadassah Guberman- Voiced by Sarah Silverman; a girl who either tries to apply for a job, or even tries to explain to someone over the phone why she is the best, or why she go crabs in her *bleep*

*Special Ed-  Voiced by Jim Florentine; is special for a reason. Is mentally challenged, wears a helmet, and calls people just to shout 'YAY!' or asks if 'Air Bud' is playing in theaters

*OCD Ken- Voiced by Kevin Nealon; Has massive OCD issues, tells people to do certain things to clear his OCD habit. He's ok.

There are other memorable characters like: Elmer Higgins- an elderly man voiced by Jimmy Kinmel, Niles Standish- British, wants to double the price of anything and is voiced by Tony Barbieri.

Many other guest actors voiced various characters: Eminem, Patton Oswalt, Seth MacFarlane, Lil Jon, Nicole Sullivan...there are too many to name.

And what do these sleezy puppets do? Well, they use real callers, business what not, blur out the business and the persons name at the other end, and they provide a joke, or gross humor, which ends up with hanging up, or satisfying them. It's ok, but what does the 2019 version have?

Changing the dynamic. Making it as funny as it use to be. I wouldn't call it a reboot, but more like bringing it back from the dead. It is funny in some areas, but did it really need to come back? Well I'll say yes and no, but you be the judge and beware who's on the other line. LOL
