The Batman vs Batman the animated series

There are sooooooooo many versions of the Batman franchise out there today.

Including many movies, some good and some horrible. I will not say which. And there were also cartoon versions.

But there are two that stick out to me that I want to talk about, because I am fond of both, but which one is the better cartoon.

This is "BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES" vs "THE BATMAN"

First off there is the similarities which are the characters and even the premise of how every character became who they were.

There are the differences that I want to talk about.

With Batman, the animated series, started in 1992, Batman had many of the qualities that the original comics as well as the movies staring Michael Keaton as the batman.

It also showed more action as well as the tone of music they use for dramatic scenes, dynamites the competition using orchestra for every fighting scene as well as the famous bat standing on top of a building as lightning strikes.

With the characters, you would have Pennyworth, the butler, Dick Grayson who would soon be Robin as well as the villains.

The voice acting for these villains are amazing. Such as Kevin Conroy as the Batman to Mark Hamill yes "Luke Skywalker" himself, voicing the villainous joker. That is amazing!!!!

Other voice actors as villains include: Richard Moll as two face, Paul Williams who is a songwriter to voice the penguin. There's too many, but the one that sticks out the most is of course, Mark Hamill as the joker.

Some of the stories are actually good. They even had the late Adam West voice a few episodes in this once as well as "The Batman"

But there is one episode I loved that involved most of the villains, just playing cards. Talking about how they almost defeated the batman.

They're playing cards, not devising their next scheme, but they start acting like humans. That is one of my top ten (maybe number one) of my favorite episodes

Well it's really called: The Batman, the man who would be bat. It came out around early 2003. The premise is similar but the design isn't.

Batman is still a loner, soon recruiting both batgirl and Robin. The voice acting is very polar opposite of what the other cartoon was.

Reno Romano replaces Kevin Conway as the Batman (they both sound similar, so I wouldn't care)

The villain voice actors are well...how do I put this?

The guy who voices SpongeBob voices the penguin

Freddy Kruger voices the Riddler

The guy who voices Homer Simpson and Krusty the Clown voices the Ventriloquist

Mr. Freeze is voiced by Mr. Krabs (Clancy Brown)

But I have to say there is one negative on this...

The voice acting of the Joker. I think they picked the wrong person. I don't hate Kevin Michael Richardson, he's a great voice actor, but Mark Hamill was so much better.

I'm sorry, but Kevin is an ok choice, but not the right choice for the joker.

For the story, it can be similar to the original, but not as great. It lasted through five seasons as well as the original, but what does it have to gain as a batman cartoon.

Having Adam West voice the Mayor would be one. Mark Hamill did voice as a villainous circus performer Tony Zucco. Who was responsible for the death of Robin's parents and brother.

Some of the voice acting is ok, but not as great as "The Animated Series version"

Does that mean "The Batman" cartoon isn't great? I've seen some episodes and well, compared to the original, it's similar. There are some good episodes, and just like the original series, there aren't. Do I have a favorite?
No, not may of the episodes of the batman cartoon had a great episode like the animated series did.

Plus, every time I hear penguin's voice, I feel as if he's starting to sound like a really bad version of Popeye, or be under the sea. LOL

The designs aren't flawless as they were back in the original.

To me, they're both equally fine, and they are equally bad in some areas, even the original serious had suffered a major blow with design in the later years.

Making the joker look more like Mickey Mouse.

The designs of almost every character wasn't right. It just didn't have the same feel as it did (thank god it still had the original voice actors)

Till then, there is not a great batman cartoon. Just good ones, and sometimes, not. For these two, they're equal to me in every way.
