I already know my birthday is coming soon, but mostly these holiday commercials are targeted to kids. Target, a store similar to Walmart but not as disgusting, shows nothing but kids dressing up and baking cookies or becoming elves working for Santa.
OK that's fine, but they started showing that before Halloween came around.
It's stressful yes, but it seems to be more stressful for everyone every year. The commercials are one thing, but what about Thanksgiving. Is it glanced over for Christmas? People count down, have clocks, and some of them don't even want to think about it.
Thanksgiving is almost here of course and we do things to remember it, like well... SHOP THE NIGHT OF THANKSGIVING!!! I'm not kidding some stores are opening the night while people should be digesting their huge meals and be with family. The next day, shop till you drop that's what I say. I just do it cyber. Happily some stores are closing on Thanksgiving to they can be with their families. Considerate of them. Some people work on Thanksgiving and their stores close early. I, on the other hand, don't mind if I have to work the day before where (working in a grocery store) it gets packed and crazy. I don't work on Thanksgiving and take off so I can help the family with the Turkey.
Some stores on Christmas, it's amazing. I don't work on Christmas. Some people do and I'm ok with that. It's just the stress that can kill. It use to be a joyous thing, but now everyone seems to be rushing. Every single year. Kids, when they get older, they'll realize how much their parents are going through while they just have a week off of school to relax and pray for snow.
