Remember back in the early to mid 2010's when people wanted to start eating healthy; yet they don't want to stop eating meat? Well...around that time, science came up with a nifty way for people to eat healthy and even go vegan if they want to...without feeling guilty on eating meat.
Plant based meats might have started out earlier than the 2010s, but its popularity grew around that time with Instagram and Facebook and other sites that will show recipes on eating meat that isn't from an animal.
Some people thought it was a pretty interesting idea.... others were skeptical.
People tried to stay healthy thinking it could be a game changer. Able to eat meat made out of a plant. I was one of the skeptical people and never even had one.
But I have heard of them. People that want to eat healthy and live longer like to have tofu or bean sprouts or anything that would make their colon happy and healthy. Ever heard of Tofurky?
There are companies producing plant-based meats. Making chicken nuggets with cauliflower instead of chicken.
Even having deep fried cauliflower replacing meat buffalo wings. Burgers made of bean or plant making everyone eat healthier and stay fit.
There are many interesting names for the companies creating these plant-based meats. Names like "Impossible", "Beyond", "Beyond Beef." "Faux food" and much more. Even some fast-food companies are starting to get into the trend.
Maing Impossible whopper or Beyond KFC. It's something that started in a science lab that has become huge in the profits.
Even though it isn't talked about much as it used to be, people are still buying them. Why? Because they wanna stay healthy; have their kids try foods that are good for them. There are many selections and verities of each meat that has been created by science using plants.
Making meats healthier so everyone.... vegan or not, can enjoy food made from plants.
Plant based meats are still around today as many companies, some family owned, are making food that is healthy and good for not only us, but the environment as well.
I used to be a Vegetarian; I'm not anymore, but I do not eat red meat. This is a game changer for people that wanna try to stay healthy. Some think it's a trend...but it hasn't lost its audience yet. Will I try it? I don't think so...but who knows. Maybe my mind will one day change and I'll try one of these impossible meats.
