As Time Goes By- poem

 

It seems the clock stands still when we look,

as we look away, 

it goes by,

faster, 

and faster,

and faster

we soon age,

as time goes by,

we feel healthy one day,

and the next,

we can't hear,

we can't see,

we can't think

As time soon fades,

like sand in an hourglass,

we feel,

as if,

we can't stop and breathe

we love,

we care,

we want to stay,

forever,

as we know,

we soon fade away

we want time to pause,

as we enjoy our moments,

our happiness,

our youth,

when we age...

what will go

We disappear,

within time,

as we fade away,

we are gone,

what will never be...

forgotten

we cling to youth and beuty,

we cling to hope and happiness,

as time speeds,

we see us become...

them,

the tired,

the old,

the sad

forgetting who we are?

Never,

finding us,

our moment in life,

in the sun,

as time still speeds,

and fades in our hands,

we feel,

as we have all the time in the world

We will never forget,

who we are,

when our time,

is at an end,

we see new life,

come and soon,

grow,

and feel the aging,

happening to them

keep the memories,

all of them,

as you age,

and forget,

you are never alone,

there are more people,

that come,

after you are gone

as time goes by,

we will remember,

who we are
