This has become very interesting....
This is a tv show that started I think last year. I didn't know about it before the second episode of the first season, but then.... I GOT HOOKED!
And I think I wasn't the only one. Almost half of every one was wondering how this show is becoming popular? What is it? Well it seems some celebrities secretly dress in costume, and use their voice to sing really amazing songs. They have to disguise their voice so no one can figure out who they are.
They would disguise themselves as a rabbit, or a hippo, or a monster., or a rabbit, peacock, a fox. It can be any animal or food item or thing. people would dress up and well... sing.
It's like dancing with the stars, but in masks and you don't know who the celebrity is.
In season one, there was a hippo, a monster, a deer, a rabbit, a peacock, a raven, a unicorn, but who were they????
And who won? Well, it was more of a surprise to us who had won, than who was behind the masks.
Margaret Cho was a poodle, Gladys Knight was bee, Donny Osmand was a peacock, Tori Spelling was a unicorn, La Toya Jackson was an alien, but the winner was....
T-Pain. Yes you heard me right, T-Pain was the winner of the first season. He was dressed as the monster and well, that was a surprise to all of us since T-Pain was more of a DJ than he was a singer, but he did have an amazing voice, so congrats.
Now..... Season two
\
There was.... a dog, an egg, an ice cream cone... It seemed there were celebrities to unmask and well, they were surprises as well...
First off, I knew some of the voices were very easy to uncover. For instance the Rotwiller, I knew from the first time I heard that voice, it was Chris Daughtry. A familiar singer who was in American Idol (and should have won that show), And having Raven Symone be the black widow, I knew it was her from the clues they gave us
But some../ were surprises to me. Dr. Drew as the Eagle???? I always was leaning towards Seth MacFarlane. But the skeleton, well thinking it was Martin Short or Jason Alexander, but it wasn't. It was Paul Schaffer.
There was also a Thingamajig, a Flamingo, A flower (which was Patti Label) and well the winner, which I knew who it was right away.
The very talented Wayne Brady won the second season of The Masked Singer. What I thought about it, I was happy for him. I have seen him many shows and believe me, he deserves the win. Although Chris Daughtry was second place. I think they were both winners.
And now..... we're on the third season. Not much has happened, but there are more costumes to enjoy as well as finding out who is behind those masks.
Two have been revealed. One, I kind of knew, and the other was huge surprise.
First.... Lil Wayne was the robot. I kind of knew it was him from the voice the robot had. But well... the second one was more of a surprise.
First off, it was a Llama, the first masked singe to have two legs attached behind him. I thought it was David Spade since he voiced a Llama in a Disney movie. Others thought Kelsey Grammer. I knew it wasn't him because he has a distinctive voice. But... OMG! It was Drew Carey. The host of Price is right.
I guess he drew us a curve ball with the clues.
Who else will be revealed? We'll just have to wait an see. There's a turtle, a frog, a banana, a taco, an astronaut, a swan... there's just too many, they put them into groups.
Why do I like this show? Well....it is interesting yes, but you never know who is under the mask until they are revealed. I guess we'll see what happens next.
