Other Pizzza Chains

You've heard of Pizza Hut, Dominoes, and even Papa Johns.

There are other chains, mostly international and some from America. Ever heard of Hungry Howies, Sbarro, California Pizza Kitchen, Uno's, Chuck E. Cheeses?

Of course you have. We're pizza lovers, all of us.

For us, we will eat pizza constantly until we throw it up.

How did these chains start??

Some of them might have started before Dominoes and Pizza Hut.

With some, it took a long time to even come up with a name, let alone the ingredience it needed to make the perfect pizza.
Some of them, they're not that great, and other's well, depending on the people that devour the pizza, they will have their opinions.

Little Caesars- idea thought up by Mike Illich Sr. in the late 1950's. Their slogan was always "pizza, pizza." with an old cartoon of a man dressed in Caesar outfit.
Back when it started, it was a small chain, but when more chains started to come, they branched out, advertised and well... they're still there.

The commercials they used to have, were cute, funny and even showed how that if you get one pizza, you can get another.

Funny yes, but it seemed to work. Now, they're commercials kind of...suck, having people do stupid things just to get a hot pizza.
The cartoon is still there, but it's not memorable.

Chuck E Cheeses- Ok, this for kids. From the pizza to the games and prizes you can win. How did it start?
From the man that gave us of the vintage game Pong, Nolan Bushnell started out this place in the 70's. There used to be another pizza place called Showtime Pizza, which had the same pizza, games and even electronic.
Chuck E. Cheeses took over with the same aspect, making Showbiz Pizza go out of business.

Their pizza, well, that changed too as well as their mascot, Chuck E. He came around the same time the chain started. But he was creepy. It seemed that the animatronics weren't that strong back then as they are today.

For me, the early nineties to 2011, was the best one. What we have today, I can't even put it into words how hideous it looks, and smaller.

Hungry Howie's- started in Michigan, this pizza chain is mostly known for one thing, edible crusts.
Yes, that's what it's known for.

It's not as popular as Chuck E. Cheese or Little Caesar, it seems Hungry Howie is limited in some states. Mostly Michigan and Wisconsin.
But for me, flavored crusts aren't my thing.

Sbarro- It's a pizzeria seen in mostly airports as well. Started in the 1950's, Sbarro was trying to become the "Italian" side of pizza, but to me, it's Americanized. I don't care for their pizza as well as knowing they are only seen rarely on the streets. Mostly in Malls, Airports as well as small places outside the towns of New York.

Mostly New York, LA even Pittsburgh, will have a Sbarro. It seems these chains are unstoppable and the pizza, not edible. But it's till going strong.

Finally, I want to talk about one more chain

California Pizza Kitchen- Started by Rick Rosenfield in the 1980's, it seems California Pizza Kitchen started in LA, making mostly California style pizza. It seems there are many chains of them. Even selling in the frozen food isle.

Some pizza chains have sold their pizzas in the frozen food isle of course, but to get the true experience, it doesn't mean they will taste bad or good.

Digorno, Frechetta, Mama Celesete, Red Baron and even Paul Newman's own, it seems pizza, from chain or even your oven are here to stay.
