Spongebob squarepants: lazy writers or annoying sponge

Everybody knows this yellow Sponge by heart. His laugh, his weird smile, his workaholic joy of wanting to work the so-called "Krusty Krab" 24/7

This sponge came out to Nickelodeon in 1999 and sky rocketed to fame apparently with so many seasons and two movies, but after the first movie ended, I felt he was beginning to get a little bit annoying (although he was already with that laugh) but this time, I felt this character was just starting to become as if they were ready to beat him with a dead whale.

OK not that cruel, but he's been used so many times they started calling Nickelodeon the "SpongeBob Network"

SpongeBob is a character voiced by Tom Kenny and he must be getting a pay check every day when they show an old episode. His wife also voices a character in the show as well a computer wife of a character named Plankton who's main goal was to steal the Krabby Patty formula. Now he's just a bitter plankton that I just feel sorry for because who he's stealing the formula from, Mr. Krabs, is just an asshole of a crab.

I just feel as if the writers gave up and made him the most money grabbing crab on earth along with SpongeBob's pal, Patrick a starfish, to be the most selfish and annoying starfish ever. In some episodes, he can be normal, but in almost EVERY EPISODE he gets irritating, rude and really stupid.

I don't know if kids love that but, I just think some of the writers threw their hands up and said "I'm done,"
I don't hate the show, I just feel it has lost it's touch in some (mostly recent) episodes. In a few there are some good ones, but they don't need to make a third movie like Toy Story needs to make a forth.

I just found out the genius behind the Sponge is now stricken with ALS. A disease that Stephen Hawking suffers from today. I'm very sad for him and his family. He hasn't been part of the project or any of the writing but it was his idea to make SpongeBob Squarepants come to life. I will be praying for him.

I don't know if it is indeed any of the writers faults of if it's just the sponge, but I missed the old classic episodes that made him what he was, amazing. My favorite episode of all is "Band Geeks" where is neighbor Squidward gets some of Bikini Bottom's finest to put together a band but it doesn't go as well as he plans.
SpongeBob feels bad and eventually with the help of the rest of Bikini Bottom, they perform "Sweet Victory" and let's just say Squidward is happy.

I miss the old SpongeBob yes but I don't hate the show, just the classic SpongeBob that I knew from when I was a kid. I will miss those days and I'm happy that I got to know that Sponge, pre-first movie experience. Maybe it's not that yellow sponge's fault, or the horrid writers, maybe it's the times that are changing and Stephen will be known as a Nickelodeon genius to kids that brought something special into this world. Thanks. Ciao Bloggers.
