I've learned something while seeing a really great. The classic Henry Fonda version of 12 Angry men where 'll jurors convince Henry Fonda that an accused boy is guilty, but he tries to convince the others his innocence. They updated the movie with Jack Lemmon and George C Scott. I prefer the original to that one.
But watching this I learned that many t.v. shows have spoofed this movie. I guess being so popular, and court room setting dramas or comedies spoof movies all the time especially this movie. I love this movie. I don't know why but I guess classic movies really are very interesting to me and I just love them. Some are good and others well....
12 angry men is mostly spoofed for the jury version. One Simpson episode had spoofed it when Homer was on the jury, but it seemed to have spoofed another movie as well. Where the mayor's son was in trouble for hurting a waiter but Bart knew all along what really happened and Homer just wanted a free room.
3rd rock from the sun spoofed it as well when John Lithgow's character was on the jury as well. Don't remember much of the episode but was pretty funny. An early Hey Arnold spoofed 12 angry men as well. Seemed a student was accused for pulling the fire alarm. Arnold (one of the jurors) knew he was innocent since there was peanut butter on the fire alarm handle and well.. I think one of the jurors turned out to be the culprit.
I always enjoy seeing this movie. Sadly all the juror actors are dead. The reamake, some of them are still alive. But the classic is always the best for me. Till then, Ciao bloggers
