Oscar winners

First off, I was very happy to see a female director win for Hurt Locker. I never saw the movie before, but it did beat Avatar for best director and picture. Others that won were Sandra Bullock for best actress, Jeff Bridges for best actor (he's so much like his father). Mo'Nique won for best supporting actress.

My father said to me when Kathryn Bigelow won for best directing, that a woman can do and triumph over anything no matter what. Even tough I'm more of a writer than a director, I knew what he meant and I thanked him. Sadly, We lost a lot of great actors, directors, writers and performers this year like:
Patrick Swayze
Brittany Murphy (who actually died of pneumonia, not for losing weight)
Natasha Richardson
Roy E. Disney
Michael Jackson
the list goes on and on. Too tragic.

Up won for best animated movie and it was also up to be nominated for best picture like nine other movies along with Hurt Locker, Avatar, An Education I forget the other seven. Last time ten movies were nominated was back in the 40's and Casablanca won for best picture. I loved Casablanca. The movies that were up for best picture nomination, well some I actually wanted to see. It had been years since I'd seen a movie in theaters. Last time I saw a movie in the theaters was 'The Hangover' I can not wait to see these wonderful movies like Precious: Based on the novel 'Push' by Sapphire, or the hurt locker. Would love to see those movies. Avatar on the other hand. Nah! I mean I don't hate the movie I just have no desire to see it. Well. Gotta Jet! BTW: James Taylor did a pretty goo rendition of 'In my life' But the Beatles did it best.
Till then:
There are places I remember, in my life though some have changed, some for ever not for better, some have gone and some remain, but in my life... I love you more. ( I really don't know the whole song word for word, but it's a beautiful song.) Caio bloggers!
