Happy birthday to me

   Another year has come and gone, and I'm still here; thank god. I just feel as time goes by, so do many opportunities that will pass.


 Ok....I'm over exaggerating, but....I'm happy I lived to see another year, but getting older comes with its aches and pains and doubts on if something is good, or if we feel that we can do it.


   For me, 35 years ago...I was born. I might not remember much of my birth, except ending up in the hospital.


   But what was 1984 like. What also is turning 35???


  In movies:



   Beverly Hills Cop, and I think there is a new movie coming out soon.

   Splash, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Gremlins.....all these movies are now 35 years old, just like me.

George Orwell's book: 1984 where it depicts of what life would be like years in the future, where we are taken over by an evil dictator...only to be stopped a woman swinging a hammer, smashing the screen....oh wait that a super bowl commercial.


   Yes the 1984 Super bowl commercial made it a big hit with Apple computers portraying a 1984 montage, and this is also 35 years later and look where Apple computers is now....it's still strong!


And now....I will join the number 35.

   I don't find it bad. Katy Perry, Scarlett JoHanesen, Ashlee Simpson, Kellie Osborn and many more famous people were born in 1984, and I'm one of them. I guess... I'm just happy to see another year go by. Sad, but still happy to be here.

HAPPY 35th Birthday 2 Me

10 years of blogging

Has it been really that long? I just blinked, and ten years have gone by. I started blogging after seeing the movie "Julie and Julia" starting Amy Addams and Meryl Streep. That was TEN YEARS AGO! And look what's happened now.


Sometimes, you would look back at something, wondering, how did ten years go by in a flash???


I was just blogging for fun. My interests, my story ideas, celebrity intel. It was like TMZ but not as insane.

   I know some people don't read my blogs, or don't understand them. I write what I want to write about. What interests me, what makes me become me.


    How I see the world, and why I want to talk about it.

My first blogging, was a short one. Very short actually, and it was about Astrology. Why Astrology? I love astrology. Talking about every sign of the zodiac from Aries to Pisces. And how everyone is different. Even by days. I even write poems on my blog to inspire myself that no matter how bleak the world can be, we always look deeper to find our true selves.

  I even blogged about Celebrity deaths, birthdays, Simpsons, Seinfeld episodes, what's next on the new trend.

     And now....looking back, I see the mistakes I've made sometimes with my spelling. And how the blog itself has changed as well, for the better...and sometimes....the worst. And every year, I seem to be writing more. Inspiring my creativity. Whether it's on celebrity junk, what's happening in the world or my poetry. It seems to get better every year.

   I'm happy that I'm still blogging today. I know not many people read this. But think of one thing, in a blink of an eye, the world will change, and blogging will just be yesterdays news. Does it mean goodbye, or beginning of something different?

   I don't know. All I know is that when I write, I feel amazing, happy as if my cares and worries lift away with every word I write or time.

   It feels as if I'm celebrating an anniversary of my ten years of  blogging, well I am, and I'm proud to still be blogging today. NO MATTER WHAT! What I say to people that are creative, fulfill your dreams. No matter what it is, no matter how long it takes. If it takes ten, twenty, even thirty years, that doesn't mean it isn't coming, it means you have to keep going.


   And to me, I'm happy already and I can't wait to blog some more.

Almost seventy years ago, this stuff happened, and it's also the beginning of the lyrics to a Billy Joel song called: "We didn't start the fire"- which came out around 1989, in other words forty years ago then.

Why does it start then??? Well, Billy Joel was born May 9th 1949.

Then in the 1950's:

  1950: Joe McCarthy, Richard Nixon, Studebaker, Television, North Korea, South Korea, Marylin Monroe

I guess all this stuff was importance back in 1950 like Television becoming a widespread sensation during 1950 while Marylin Monroe was famous for her movie roles.

1951: Rosenburgs, H-Bomb, Sugar Ray (Robinson), Panmunjom,  (Marlin) Brando, King and I, and The Catcher in the Rye

   The Rosenburgs were arrested for their crimes and sentence to death while The Catcher in the Rye was a very popular, yet controversial book.

1952: (Dwight) Eisenhower, Vaccine, England's got a new Queen, (Rocky) Marciano, Libarache, Santayana Goodbye


  George Santayana passed away that year in September, while Queen Elizabeth was the Queen of England and still is today, becoming the longest Monarch to this date. God bless her.


1953: Joseph Stalin, (Gregory) Malenkov, (Abdel) Nasser, (Sergei) Prokofiev, (Winthrop) Rockefeller, (Roy) Campanella, Commonest Bloc

   Both Stalin and Prokofiev died on March 5th of that year and the Commonest Bloc had to deal with the uprising of East Germany

1954: Roy Cohn, Juan Peron, (Arturo) Toscanini, Dacron, Dien Ben Phi Falls, Rock around the clock

   Dacron was a type of fabric that was popular around this time before polyester was the new wave while "Rock around the clock" was an Elvis Presley song popular in 1954


1955: (Albert) Einstein, James Dean, Brooklyn had a winning team, Davy Crockett, Peter Pan, Elvis Presley, Disneyland

     Einstein passes away on April 18th while Disneyland becomes the first known theme park opening its doors in 1955


1956: (Bridgette) Bardot, Budapest, Alabama, (Nikita) Khrushchev, Princess Grace, Payton Place, Trouble in the Suez 

    Princess Graces marries the Prince of Monaco after filming her last movie while Rosa Parks started a Bus Boycott that started a movement for people of different color (what a pioneer)



1957: Little Rock, (Boris) Pasternak, Mickey Mantle, (Jack) Kerouac, Sputnik, Zhou Enlai, Bridge on the river Quai

    Sputnik took America by storm, starting the space program and getting men into the space while Mickey Mantle was in the middle of the his career with the Yankees


1958: Lebanon, Charles de Gaulle, California Baseball, Starkweather Homicide, Children of thalidomide


   Baseball comes to California as the Brooklyn Dodgers become the LA Dodgers and the homicide of Starkweather caused the deaths of eleven people in Nebraska 

1959: Buddy Holly, Ben Hur, Space Monkey, Mafia, Hula Hoops, (Fidel) Castro, Edsel is a no go

   Edsel was a style of car that never even went into production and was stop being made in 1959 while Ben Hur was a movie staring Charlton Heston 



Then came the 60's:


1960: U-2, Syngman Rhee, Payola, (John F) Kennedy, Chubby Checker, Psycho, Belgians in the Congo

   Kennedy was the President of the US while Chubby Checker started people dancing to the twist


1961: (Ernest) Hemingway, (Adolf) Eichmann, Strangers in a strange land, (Bob) Dylan, Berlin, Bay of Pigs invasion

    Hemmingway killed himself while Dylan signed on to Columbia records and became famous


1962: Lawrence of Arabia, British Beatlemania, Ole Miss, John Glenn, Litson beats Patterson

     Lawrence of Arabia became a movie starring Peter O'Toole while the Beatles came to America and became a sensation making people go crazy for them


1963: Pope Paul, Malcom X, British Politician sex, JFK Blown away (WHAT ELSE DO I HAVE TO SAY)


    John F. Kennedy was killed November 22nd 1963 while Malcom X makes his infamous statement "the chickens has come home to roost"


1965 to 1969: Birth Control, Ho Chi mon, Richard Nixon back again, Moonshot, Woodstock

   Men landed on the moon while Woodstock was famous fifty years ago while Richard Nixon, well he got in trouble


1972 to 1977: Watergate, Punk Rock, (Menachem) Begin, (Ronald) Regan, Palenstin, Terror on the air line


   Watergate sandal forces Nixon to resign an Regan becomes president


1979 to 1989: Wheel a Fortune, Sally Ride, Heavy Metal Suicide, Foreign Debs, Homeless Vets, Aids, Crack, Bernie Guetz, Hyperdermics on the shore, Martials Law, Cola Wars (WE CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE)


    Aids causes the deaths of many people, Sally Ride was the first female astronaut that went to space, Bernie Guetz killed a few people and the cola wars was choice between coke and Pepsi.

Donald Trump is president, School Shooting, SpongeBob Squarepants, Hurricanes, September 11th, Flooding, Terrorist, cancer spreading everywhere, Oscar flubbs, Jersey Shore, MTV with music no more, live shows, Survivor, American Idol so much more....it's scary to say, we're in hell for sure.
