First off, it's more like a tradition to us now to visit my grandfather's grave up in old forge ever since 1995.
Me, my mom, her sister, her mother and sometimes my brother, would travel the two hour distance to Old Forge, PA. Not far from Scranton, but it is a long trip. We just talk, or fall asleep as mom drives all the way to Old Forge. My grandmother, feeling achy on the car rides, that's for sure, and my aunt either sleeping, or driving part of the way.
The food, I guess, would be a tradition as well. Every year, since the first time we went, we would always, pick up some bread and pizza shells at a nearby bakery, and across the street from the bakery, we would grandma's old house. My mom and her sister lived in that house for a long time. But my grandmother couldn't deal with the long distant drive we took almost every year so she decided to move a little closer to my aunt's house in 1999. But, we would still go and look at the house and how it has changed. It has changed drastically.
After seeing my grandfather's grave, and putting a flower on it, we would go and my visit my grandmother's father's and brother's grave as well. Her youngest brother, Daniel, died prematurely, so I never met him.
Then we would go out somewhere for lunch, and then, we would go to Jitty Joe's an ice cream parlor only in old forge. No where else. I don't know why they won't franchise, because they have the best ice cream ever, and we could only get it so often. We also pick up some 100 pizza slices at this place called Sizzle Pi. My dad adores those Sizzle Pi slices, but believe me, we all are addicted to it and long car ride back is just torture, not to just sneak a piece, but what are you gonna do. I only like it once in a while, but my dad loves it. Well, that's how I usually spend my Memorial Day weekend. Till then, Caio Bloggers, and don't forget, have a safe and happy memorial day.

Queen Elizabeth II
I was watching an episode of "Are you Smarter than a 5th grader", though I don't care much for that show. It was the episode where a woman wins $1,000,000 when she knew the longest reigning monarch was Queen Victoria. I love history, believe me. I know that was the right answer when I saw that the first time; however, like her, it took me a while to register that answer.
Queen Victoria lasted 63 years on the throne. She was on the throne since her teen years. She still considered the longest reigning monarch as of now. But, I think if Queen Elizabeth II might surpass her. But that's a one in a million chance. She might surpass George III if she lasts another year, but it would take one more year to do that. She today has been on the throne for 58 years and 101 days. It would be making history if she surpassed George III and even more if she outlasts Queen Victoria.
I think that Queen Elizabeth II is a good queen she has outlasted: George II, George V, George VI, George I, George IV, Edward VII, Anne, William IV and Edward VIII.
BTW: The woman who won the million dollars doesn't have those millions anymore. It's the economy's fault believe me.
Queen Victoria, today is still the longest reigning monarch in Great Brittan History, but you never know, history might be made if Queen Elizabeth II can outlast 64 years. Let's hope. Just wanted to give you some history, courtesy of Wikipedia and my knowing of history. Till then, Ciao Bloggers!

Compostable chip bags
I don't eat Sun Chips, but I do work at a grocery store and I usually see people buying these chips. Now, they made a chip bag that is 100% compo-stable, which means that if you threw this chip bag on the ground, mostly grass, in a few weeks, the chip bag will disapper and be part of the Earth. I think it's a smart idea for Sun Chip bags to do that, but does the bag itself have to sound so noisy? I mean I think all chip bags should be compo-stable; however, I would rather it not be so noisy, and I hope in the future, chip companies, like UTZ and Lays, would follow in the footsteps of Sun Chips, even Herr's should follow in the footsteps of Sun Chips as well, even Oreo and Chips deluxe bags should become just like the Sun Chips compo-stable. (EVEN THOUGH LAYS OWNS SUN CHIPS, THEY SHOULD MAKE MORE BAGS LIKE THEIRS') Now I'm not saying everyone should throw garbage into the street, but I'm just saying, if every chip and cookie bag, may it be Tostitos or Cheetos, were like the compo-stable Sun Chip bag, maybe the world would be a little greener when it's used. I just wish that they weren't so noisy. Till then, Caio Bloggers, and save the planet!

APOLOGY
Sorry if I repeated the same blog, it's just my computer has be freezing on me once in a while and I just hate it, but It's ok now, and I promise I won't repeat my blogs. Caio Bloggers
The Oil Spill
I'm really upset about what happened at the gulf coast. I feel sorry for all the animals that have to suffer with all the oil. I just wish I could take a vacuum and just suck all the oil that had spilled and everything would be OK, but I can't.
I just wish it never had happened. I feel so guilty that I'm not doing anything, but maybe I can donate some money to the habitat on cleaning up that oil spill.
The oil spill reminds me about that big Exxon Valdez oil spill of 1989. I don't know why oil has to be delivered by ship, or by air, or by car. For some reason, I think it would be safer to have oil transferred from one place to another without it spilling over the ocean, or polluting our air.
Well that's all I wanted to say. Caio Bloggers, and pray for the gulf coast and New Orleans.

The Oil Spill
I'm so upset for all the animals on the gulf coast. Since that oil spill that caused many animals in the shore to be either dying, or fighting for their lives. It just tears my heart apart. I just want to cry. I know I can't go down there with a vaccum and

From what I seen in the past
Usually, I watch the series of shows called "I love" and I saw one today that was I love the 80's. It showed stuff that happened when I was a little girl and even before I was born (years 1980 to 1983)
The Phillies won the World Series in 1980, and the Mets (tragically) won in 1986 all because of Bill Buckner's blunder. I never saw that game, and then again, I don't give crap for the Mets or the Yankees. Phillies fan all the way since they won the World Series in 2008. And I'm hoping they win again this year.
They also showing movies from the 80's like Gremlins. I never cared much for that movie. All I know from it is that they don't like water and you shouldn't feed them after midnight. It's just like raising a teenager. LOL! Another movie they depicted was Back to the Future. A movie staring a very cute Michael J. Fox and a crazy Christopher Lloyd.
The music they had from the 80's was creepy, but I liked some of them.
First off, I will never, and I mean ever "Walk like an Egyptian" Lame. I can't stand "Somebody's watching me" from a singer, who I bet, mysteriously vanished into thin air. I admit I do have that song on my iPod, but every time I hear it, it reminds me of a Geico commercial.
Another song, by Genesis, was called, "Land of Confusion" Two things about that music video, it was more like the land of Muppets on crack and it scared the living daylights out of me. But I guess that's how the 80's were, really confusing.
But there were some good things about the 80's and I'm not talking about the creepy 80's hairstyles they had, that made every girl look like they were from New Jersey, but it also had a decade that lend the quote: "Do you believe in miracles" 1980 the year, not only my cousin was born, but it was also the year the USA hockey team beat USSR and won against Finland to be number one! It was also a decade that gave us another great quote that was used in politics: "Where's the beef?" That one old woman, god rest her soul, made that Wendy's commercial, and quote, famous 26 years after it aired.
Well, There are other I love's.... that are on VH1 once in a while and when I see the 90's version, I'll blog again about it, but till then.
