I've said it before and I'll say it again. I love this show. I've loved it since the first season. What do I really think about it.
Back in the late 90's early 2000's, I got into the Disney Channel. Ok I was around sixteen at the time, but who cares. I was sick most of ninth grade. This show on Disney started showing up about a cartoon teenager who fights crime as well as high school drama. Voiced by Christy Carlson Romano (who was in Even Stevens at the time) voiced Kim Possible. Gave this show a try, and was hooked.
Kim had a partner and best friend named Ron Stoppable. Later, in the last season, they were best friends and eventually became boyfriend and girlfriend. Kim had a rival, a best friend, and a lot of villains to fight.
I've talked about all the Villains before. But I want to talk about my favorite two. With Senor Sr. and Senor Jr. a close second,,, my favorite villain partners are Drakken and Shego. Shego especially. Why, because she has the brain power as well as fighting power. She even has a strange backstory where she used to be a good guy with her brothers. But she loved Evil more than anything. Voiced by talented Mad TV actress Nicole Sullivan.
Drakken is considered an evil villain. Used to be a scientist that knew Kim's dad. Had his skin turned blue, we never found out why. He might be evil and tries his best with evil plans, but without Shego, he's considered nothing but a goofball. He is voiced by John DiMaggio who was also best known for Bender in Futurama. You can hear some of Bender in his voice.
Like I said before they did two movies. One that was good and another that was going to be the series finale. They decided to make a final fourth season instead. A Sitch in time was the first. Going to the past, present and future to find out what Kim would be like without her best friend Ron by her side. Seeing how they became friends since they were kids, and Shego takes over their town. I loved this movie
So the Drama is about Kim getting a boyfriend, who ends up working with Drakken and Shego (he's a robot) She eventually finds out too late and Ron eventually confesses his love to her. Knowing that he was jealous of Kim's new boyfriend Derek. I thought it was a very good movie, but not as great as 'A Sitch in time' but I grew to like it
I've talked about the final episode before, so I'll keep it short. Kim and Ron graduate, but it seems some aliens kindap Kim as well as Drakken. Ron and Shego team up to save them. Ron finds his 'inner self' (It's hard to explain if you haven't seen many episodes of the show) Saving Kin. I think Drakken and Shego start having a crush on each other I don't know. But we never get to find out why Drakken was always blue.
Then, Disney changed for the worst! I stopped Disney Channel by the time I was leaving College. I watched a few old episodes of Kim Possible as well as a few other Disney episodes. Phines and Ferb was their last and best Disney Cartoon. Now....oh god. They've gone live action. They even made a live action Kim possible movie.
I don't remember many of the actors in this movie. Some were mediocre, and some were just ok. This movie is nothing like its predecessor. Even if Christy Carlson Romano did a cameo role in this, it didn't help. I'd rather her and Will Fridle (who voiced Ron) to play the mother and father. It was just stupid. The only plus was the actors playing the villains. Especially Patton Oswald who voiced Dementor and played him int his movie. At least they watched a little bit of it.
Thank god Disney+ has been giving us Kim Possible show as well as the two movies (three if you count that crappy one) So, you can still watch it with your kid, if you were a fan of this show like I was. Thank god there were some good cartoons on Disney Channel, and Kim Possible was number one. Well, for me anyway.
