Writing for a tv show

What are A, B, and C stories in TV writing? | TV Calling Sometimes, writing for a tv show can be fun, and other times.... it can be complicated.

You have to know the show if you want to write an episode of a tv show. You have to experience the character development.

The best 'Castle' episodes to enjoy while you consider 'Take Two' There are good sitcom writers out there, but for me, I actually did write episode ideas for some shows, but now those shows are cancelled.
One being Castle. Some episode ideas came to me around the fourth season, but I had to know more about the characters and finding out what kind of murders they would have to solve.
Some of the episodes I wrote were actually not that bad.
I think one involved a kidnapping, another was a murder of a famous game show host, and well...there are others that involved one being a huge fan of Castle, and going to great lengths to kill him.  Even one episode was about a fan of the band KISS found dead at one of their concerts.

Definitively, The Best, Worst And Most Controversial Simpsons ... And everyone knows I'm a fan of the simpsons (mostly the old episodes) Even though, I can tell the show will end, I'm guessing next year, I did have many episode ideas. Like a cop that is really a jewel theif that is wanted in Shelbyville. I thought of a female guest voice actress (Candace Cameroun Bure) would be perfect for that role. Another episode is about how Marge's gambling addictions start to go too far when someone offers Marge to be a part of their gambling group (voiced by Shelley Long), she decides to not, and it makes it get darker after finding out they won't take no for an answer. Marge also finds out the bus driver is trying to substitute his drug habit with gambling. Another episode involves Moe finding a girl, but it turns out she is more of a villian and Homer ends up in danger.
I have too many episode ideas. They are very creative, but aren't realistic.

iCarly series finale: We finally meet Carly's father | EW.com Before the show ended, I had episode ideas for iCarly. One episode was about their biggest fan/mortal enemy having an idea to lure the iCarly gang into another trap, only to get arrested again. Another one is where Carly's brother, Spencer wants to be a Mountie, so they head to Vancouver where they meet the head Mountie (Andy Richter), but he thinks it's best to not make him a Mountie. With his dream crushed, Spencer soon vanishes, and it seems Carly, Sam and Freddie find out the truth that head Mountie not only kidnapped Spencer, but is more of a villan. Freddie records his confession without him knowing. They save Spencer as the head Mountie gets arrested.

Some episode ides I write are pretty good. But, who knows, maybe one day, I will write an episode for a sitcom. Some comedians do and have good success with it. Good luck to me and any writer writing for a sitcom.
