12. Wendell- A student that is commonly seen throwing up. Once in a while, he would be seen at Bart's class, mostly having motion sickness issues or just was throwing up constantly. In an Halloween Episode, he was sent to perminate detention. In another episode, he along a lot of other students were trapped on an island. Either than that, it seems he was left in behind the crowd, considered just a background character.
11. Ashley Grant- Only seen once in this episode. A college student that watches over Bart and Lisa while Homer and Marge go somewhere. It seems she was "sexually Harassed" by Homer when he touched her ass, but it seemed it was only gummy that was stuck to her pants that he was trying to get. She was only seen in one episode, and she made a big impact. She soon realizes the truth, and she apologizes to Homer. Never see her again, unless she's in a crowd.
10. Surly Duff- Is only seen wearing a costume. When Aunt Selma takes the kids to Duffland, he is introduced with other Duff characters. He only looks out for one person, himself. He very rude, and is only seen in a few episodes. It seems he never takes off the costume...at all. Even when he's in a crowd of people, it seems he would just be known as Surly. I guess he lost his job at Duffland
9. Roy- It's ironic he's only in one episode. It's also Ironic that he was living with the Simpsons. When Itchy and Scratch had a new character, Poochie, Roy would appear out of thin air. Does this mean, he would have been a perfect voice for Poochie? Yes and no, but Homer takes the position and sucks at it, causing the people of Itchy and Scratchy to destroy Poochie. When he is gone, so is Roy, and we never see him again
8. Roger Myers- Voiced by both the late Alex Rocco, and once in a while Hank Azaria, Roger Myers is the son of the man who created the beloved cat and mouse team Itchy and Scratchy. He is seen in some episodes that would revolve around if the real creator (voiced by Kirk Douglas) reveals that Roger Myers father stole Itchy, or if Krusty the Clown has issues with Roger Myers cartoon. He is as if Walt Disney created Tom and Jerry (and he didn't) Since Alex Rocco's death, he hasn't been seen much.
7. Lionel Hutz, Troy McClure- This one is actually very tragic. Both of these characters were very big, and were voiced by a comedian named Phil Hartman. They were both funny and memorable. Troy McClure was in movies while Lionel Hutz was a lawyer. They helped out the Simpsons with many cases. Sadly, when Phil Hartman died in 1998, so did they. Well, the voice not the characters. Now they're just seen in the crowd and we all miss them and Phil Hartman.
6. Ottoman- He's not seen in many episodes. He only had two or three that were more focused on him. It seems that all he's known is for is Rock N Roll, smoking/doing drugs, and driving the school bus. One episode he did live with Bart and in another, he ditched his soon to be wife for a band that needed a ride home. For me, he's an amazing character, but not memorable enough.
5. Herman- Ever met anyone with one arm? God only knows. In this world, there is a one armed man only known as Herman. He works at Military store. Is good friends with Grandpa Simpson, has stories about how he lost his arm, sells counterfeit jeans, kidnaps people; but the first time I saw him, is when he gives Bart advice on how to stop Nelson from bullying him. He hasn't been seen in many episodes, and isn't much the center of attention, but well...all he's known for is he has one arm.
4. Herb Powell- He was introduced in Season Two when Homer finds out he has a long lost half-brother. He was rich and voiced by Danny DeVito. When they visit, Homer helps him create a new car, only to end up being a failure and he ends up broke. Later, he becomes rich again after inventing a new baby monitor that communicates with everything Maggie is saying. However, he hasn't been seen since, and I think he might be poor again.
3. Bleeding Gums Murphy- Lisa's idol. Taught her everything about playing the saxophone. This character dies in a later season, but no one knows how he died. But sadly, the voice actor of Bleeding Gums Murphy is gone, they decided to no longer have Bleeding Gums Murphy around. But in an episode in season 24, Lisa sees a hologram of Bleeding Gums Murphy. She even met Bleeding Gums Murphy's son. But ever since then, Bleeding Gums Murphy left Springfield to the heavens.
2. Capital City Goofball- A mascot for the Springfield sports teams, Capital City Goofball would be known to wear a costume and be known as the mascot. He was only seen once, maybe twice and was voiced by Tom Potson until his death. Ever since then, he would either be seen once in a while, and voiced by Dan Castellaneta. He's only seen once in a while now. He's actually modeled after the Philly Phinatic if you think about it. It's kind of cool
Honorable mentions:
- Maude Flanders
- Martha Quimby
- Manjula Nahasapemapetalan
- Ruth Powers
- Utter Zorker
- Steve Mobs
but the number one spot goes to one character that we haven't seen in a long time, we don't even know if he's alive or dead.
1. Dr. Marvin Monroe- First off, he was the family doctor for every Simpson family member. Giving them shock therapy treatments as well as advice for Marge. In later years, he would be seen giving advice on tv with Kent Brockman. But around season seven, he was considered dead. Having a hospital in dedication to him. But it seems there was a reason they placed Marvin Monroe on the death list. Harry Shearer, the voice of Dr. Marvin Monroe was hurting his voice when he would portray the character, so they cut back on the Doctor, and he would soon come back in later seasons saying he was just very sick. Then later as a ghost in limbo. This is my number one character that is unseen the most in every Simpson season since Season fifteen, but then again...there could be reasons to pull a Simpson character to the grave.
Before I leave I want to say one more thing. We recently lost a voice actress who is known for voicing Martin, Uter, Sherri and Terri, Wendell and a few others, but she will always be remembered as Minnie Mouse.
Russi Taylor, we will miss you very much and it seems Mickey Mouse is waiting for you in heaven. The Simpson family as well their fans, will never forget you.
