What is Festivus??

 First off, It's a Seinfeld Holiday and every December 23rd, Seinfeld celebrate it like crazy.


Started off on an episode called "the strike" we find out more about Costanza's life.

    He doesn't officially celebrate Christmas he celebrates Festivus. A holiday started by his father, Frank which started many years ago which he quoted to Kramer about the origins of it becoming when he was getting a doll for his son and someone else was also reaching for the doll, and then a new holiday was born. It requires a pole with no decorations and the 'feats of strength', where you get out all your anger on one person and tag team then until someone wins


     Kramer also gets his job back where he use to work at a bagel factory and just got his job back, but after he hears about this interesting holiday, he wants to take the 23rd off. He walks out on a strike when told no. He even turns the steam on, making the bagel shop a little steamy, causing Elaine's hair to flatten and her make up to look a little scary since she was trying to wait for some guys to call the bagel place so she can get a certain phone number from a guy for some fake phone number that was on a sub card that she wanted for a free sub.

 Meanwhile Jerry picked up a girl at a party, however when he saw her again, she looked very different to him. She kept wondering why he was taking her to Monk's all the time, she soon finds out from Kramer, as he calls it, 'A Festivus Miracle' and they break up. Same thing happened to Elaine and the guy she was meeting and well, he gave her a fake number and she never got the sub.

   They all meet to Frank and Estelle's house to have a Festivus dinner. George eventually shows up because of what he did, giving most of his co-workers and boss a fake Christmas gift and tells his boss that 'Festivus was all too real.' Eventually at the end, the 'Feats of strength' was against Frank and George, George wining all the way through.


   One funny episode, and ever since that episode was made, a new holiday was born, we don't celebrate it much but we do 'Air our Grievances'  and do the 'Feasts of Strength' just for the fun of it. Another year come and gone

I cannot believe another year has gone by for me.

Tomorrow I will be 31. 30 years of my life

  *POOF* In a blink of an eye...

     I have witnessed a lot. Mostly my health was illness and spending most of it as a kid in the hospital. Having ADHD and Asperger's syndrome didn't stop my creativity and my happiness.

    Having a brother to be there as a friend and to be there in my every need, and for me to help him when he was.

   Now, grown up, having a job and being responsible and now almost 31, I figured, if I went back in time... would I make the same mistakes again or figure out where I went wrong.


People always like to go back in time, to fix the mistakes they made, and when it's they're birthday, some of them just like to look at the pieces of their life and see if the whole year they had was best or worst of their life?


    I remember around my 16th birthday, my mom and got some balloons that were suppose to say "sweet sixteen" but said "debutant" instead. LOL. I've gotten great birthday presents and my family is one gift I love to have every day.


Having my birthday around the holidays is a plus and a minus. When I was a kid, it was great having a birthday around the holidays, now it feels as I if I have to give more gifts to the family, thanking them for everything they have done to me. I appreciate everything they have done, every year of my life.

  I love them. Now tomorrow, I get a cake, gifts and a bunch of happy birthday messages on Facebook. I love my birthday, and I feel, everyone has a turn to enjoy their special day, creeping up behind them. And for me I enjoy mine deep down. Thank for everything family. Ciao for now and happy birthday 2 me.

Giving Be Cool, Scooby Doo a chance

  Before I said, that Cartoon Network was dead to me because of what they did to the design of Scooby Doo.

    I gave the show a try and I was somewhat, wrong.

It is somehow funnier than the original, they lighten up the characters, and even Daphne Blake is no longer the damsel in distress that she use to be.

I don't like Cartoon Network shows at all, but this show is making me turn my liking of Cartoon Network, but not that much.

    Some of their shows aren't that great, this show is ok.


Unlike the original Scooby Doo, the design is still childish and weird, but it's funny and creative as well.
   The monsters are still terrifying and creepy, and they explain in more detail on why they did the horrible (ok not horrible) deed in great detail.

   And the villain still says: "you meddling kids."

The voice actors are still the same except for one. Velma's voice actor (Mindy Cohn) left the show and they replaced her with Kate Micucci, who is not that bad and I've seen her in Raising Hope and Big Bang Theory. She is funny.

    Frank Welker (the amazing) was going to be replaced but they couldn't find another voice actor to replace him in time and he stayed. Thank you. Because if he left, Scooby Doo's reputation would have died with it.

  He's been voicing Fred since the show started and there have been many other voice actors that replaced. Matthew Lilliard, who portrayed Shaggy in the horrible real life movie version of Scooby Doo, took over the role of Shaggy since Casey Kasem died.

   Even though I don't like the design and they all look weird, I prefer the original stiles like "what's new Scooby Doo" gave us. This; however, is giving us more of the humor and lighter side of Scooby Doo.  I'll give it a change, even though I don't care for Cartoon Network.

   Soon, I'll just watch the classic Scooby Doo again, the one I fell in love with, and this will just stay for a few years, and give us a few laughs. Ciao Bloggers.

Why does everyone have a need to kill

Does it make it better

Does it make them feel accomplishing something

For the greeter good

or for the worse

to end it in a salvage way

deserves a life

like we all do

Every day we deserve

a breath of fresh air

a child to smile and say

there is good in the world

the is a hero for every villain

we deserve to live

These attacks in San Bernardino have not gone unnoticed

Heaven has looked and brought the 14 souls and

they are all now angels

guiding all the sadden, 

knowing

there will be

happiness once again and everyone

will smile and hell will show its face no more

Every day is a gift

and we should enjoy

every minute of it.

is white chocolate real chocolate.

  I am a chocoholic. I will not be ashamed of that. I love Chocolate of any form. Dark and Milk are my top two favorite, but is white chocolate even considered chocolate?


    To me I would have to say no.

I know the history behind chocolate and that white chocolate doesn't even CONTAIN ANY CHOCOLATE WHATSOEVER.

  Back in the early 1900 BC they use to mix cocoa beans with spices, grind them up and make a cocoa drink for Aztecs and we got ourselves an amazing cocoa drink that the Aztecs would drink almost every day of their lives.

   In later centuries, they said that Christopher Columbus encountered the cocoa beans on his journey to the new world and there are more stories of the British keeping chocolate a secret, adding an ingredient that would make it much more sweeter (sugar).

  Today, many people often take chocolate for granted and others just gouge themselves in the sweet treat making it into everyday items like cakes, candies, cookies and even their drinks. (Especially coffees)

But white chocolate started out as an unknown chocolate, after milk and dark chocolate became popular in the new world. But to me, I think we should know more about white chocolate and why it's not really chocolate.
 Real chocolate uses cocoa butter, white chocolate has no cocoa butter, and sometimes, if you buy white chocolate it looks more ivory than white. In other words, chocolate contains cocoa solids, while white chocolate has no cocoa solids.

   WHITE CHOCOLATE IS A LIE!!! Why does it call it self chocolate when it isn't? Dark chocolate and milk chocolate are real chocolates, they actually contain solids and butters. Dark chocolate is much healthier for you and milk chocolate contain milk solids and was discovered by Swiss chocolate makers before Milton S. Hershey made milk chocolate what it is today.


  If you like white chocolate then that's fine. I will try the real stuff. What is really found in the cocoa bean. Milk and Dark. Enjoy your chocolate binging. Ciao Bloggers!

Happy thanksgiving

Being thankful for a lot of things in our lives...trying not to take it for granted for sure.

    As we sit down to enjoy a feast, we remember what we are thankful for. I'm thankful I still have a boyfriend and that I really am in love with him. Sad that I won't see him this Thanksgiving, but still it doesn't mean I am thinking of him.

  Being thankful for family, having a home and being there for one another. But also remembering that others are not so fortunate. They are suffering, starving and sad... and mostly this time of year, we think of them as well as our family and before we think of ourselves. There are canned food drives, toys for tots and so much more to help the unfortunate. It starts to get colder and many people don't have homes to go to. Some people decide to send the homeless to shelters to care them.


   I guess, being the end of the year and all, we want to show an ounce of goodness in our hearts to know that there is some kindness in the world and not everyone is selfish and just trying to get Christmas over with to get to the new year, I think that everyone is trying their best every year, every month and every day.


  By doing one good deed, every day, you feel an ounce of happiness inside of you. Sometimes knowing what to be thankful for as well as doing something good might make you feel a whole lot better.

  Have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.

Kramer entrence and Sheldon Knocks

  What do these two have in common? Well for many tv shows, they have something to put together in almost every episode ever.

   For this, Kramer enters Jerry's apartment in almost every episode (minus two) and it seems to be somewhat a theme. He would just enter the apartment as ever he pleases and would raid Jerry's fridge or chat with Jerry. In real life the creator, Larry David had a neighbor that did the exact same thing.
 
   Kramer would enter and Jerry would either be happy, or not care. One time, he got fed up and requested Kramer to hand him his keys. So upset, Kramer goes to LA. But he returns, and so do the keys.

   There's many things like that in TV shows. Like in Home Improvement, Tim always talks to his neighbor almost every episode and his neighbor would always give helpful advice between the fence. With the Simpsons, almost every episode there would be a crazy couch gag that had a theme weather it be a classic one or now, too long, or from a different theme it still would be in almost every episode giving them an identity.

    The same couldn't be said about the constant knocking from Sheldon Cooper on big bang theory. On the first episode, he only knocked once, but it became a three time "knock knock penny" because of his OCD. He won't admit it but it's part of what the show has become. The constant knocking and also knocking if what would the show be like if there wasn't a Sheldon Cooper. I bet it would not have lasted one season without him, he is what makes the show funny and amazing. Even with his ritual knocking we come to love, we will always love the show.

  A lot of shows have their significant way of being what they are. They are there to remain in the show until it's untimely end  and the reruns will be there to cheer us up. No matter what. Till then enjoy the shows that give us what it came to give us. Happiness, laughter, and even a tear or two.

who really framed roger rabbit

  This was one of my favorite movies of the 80's that combined cartoons and  real people.


It stared the late Bob Hopkins as a detective who use to work for cartoons solving crimes until an accident made him go south of the end of the bottle.
    A crazy cartoon villain killed his brother and he had never been the same. But after a famous cartoonist gets killed, Roger Rabbit gets framed for murder.

   The first time I saw this, I was either ten or eleven and never really understood what was going on. But as I got older, I followed every detail of the movie. Like the scene where Bob's character, Eddy, goes to the so called, Ink and Paint club, Daffy and Donald duck play piano side by side. They use the old audio voice of the first voice actor that played Donald Duck and the recreant voice actor that is voicing him today, Tony Anselmo. They used both Disney and WB cartoons side by side, literally side by side.

   Donald would be on one side, and Daffy would be at the other, same with Bugs and Mickey Mouse. The late Mel Blanc was still voicing many of the characters like Tweety Bird and Bugs at the time this movie came out in 1988.

  There also is this creepy judge, portrayed by Doc Brown himself Christopher Lloyd. His most creepiest performance ever. And believe me they were going to use Tim Curry, but the director thought he was too scary.


     His character is named Judge Doom, taking over Toon Town and wanted to destroy it so he could build a freeway, and he also bought Cloverleaf, which Eddie thought was responsible for the death of Acme, but it was all him.

   And believe the, ending was the creepiest of all. Oh by the way, Judge Doom is accompanied by some weasels who wouldn't stop laughing quoting the line "if you don't stop laughing, you're going to end up dead like your stupid hyena cousins."

 And there is Roger's girlfriend, the most beautiful drawn women ever in the world (to any man that have sexual fantasies about her) Jessica Rabbit. Voiced by Kathleen Turner, her singing voice was done by Stephen Spielberg's wife (at the time) Amy Irving. Eddie always thought it was her after the pictures he took of her with Acme, but he was set up to take those pictures by his boss.

  To see most of the movie more than just one time, you get to understand the whole story. Maybe there was a reason on why Roger Rabbit was the target of this bizarre murder. On why it was him. And what is alibi was, was pretty funny. I can never take the ending with Christopher Lloyd at the end, just too creepy. Every time I see it, it scares me and still to this day, his most scariest performance ever.

   I believe this one of the movies you can watch over and over and over and not get tired of. And every time you do, you learn something extra about the movie, more detail, more interesting facts, I miss Bob Hopkins and the movie is not the same without him. They were saying that they were going to do a sequel but I don't think it will be happening now since his sudden death of pneumonia. I will still enjoy watching it like I do the original  Freaky Friday or the Big Lebowski you learn something new about the movie every time you see it again.

kids have it easy around the holidays

   For everyone else, it's stress.
                                   stress
                                     and more stress. For kids, all they have to do, is try to be good.


That's it. The stress comes once Halloween ends, and nothing but Christmas commercials show. It's insane and I think it does this to everyone so they can HATE the holidays.

   I don't know why but it seems to work. People are so stressed and tired by Christmas day, they don't even wanna celebrate. They just want it to end and get the new year going.


   When you're a kid, it's different. You want gifts and the only way you'll get them, is if you are good. But no kid can stay good through all of December. When I was a kid, I had to deal with my birthday as well as trying to be good for 24 days. That didn't happen, but we still got toys, and gifts.


   The meaning of Christmas isn't the stress we get out of it, but the joy we put in. Knowing the feeling is there and the kindness will always be there, and you don't need to have it on one day. Do it everyday. Make everyday feel as if it was Christmas day, and that everyday is special. We need to have the comfort and feelings every day of our lives.


 When we are kids, we think that a fat jolly suit guy is going to grant us wishes and give us gifts, but when we get older, we know what Christmas really means. Being with family. Doing kind things and giving to one another.

When we are young, we get the gifts, when we are older we give back. I think the feeling of Christmas and other holidays (like Thanksgiving) will always be with us. No matter what happens. No matter what day it is. We will always have the feeling.

the 90's never had that we do now

  So many things we take for granted.
Facebook,
iPads,
Tweeting.... all that

I was born in the 80s and lived in the 90s.

I LOVED THE 90S. Been looking at many movies, tv shows and toys most of the stuff that has been dominated by the technology of today.


I'm not saying it's all bad, but I think that from the toys of the 90s to today, well more kids are glued to technology. They're tweeting, Facebooking, and even have cell phones at the age of five. I didn't get my first cell phone till I was fourteen.
  The toys then I would remember by heart.

Barbie dolls, yo yos, POGS! I had an enormous POGS collection. We even read books people! I use to be addicted to Gak and viewfinders, Furbies,  I also a virtual pet we called a Tamagotchi. Now I have a real dog who I love.

Today's toys require apps from your smart phone. We still have board games, but the board games of the nineties will always be with me from Mall Madness (where you can travel around a fake mall spending money [yeah in this day in age] collecting sales) to Dream Phone where the more I learn about that game, I feel like it's more for pedophiles. Polly Pocket was small and can fit in your pocket!

Barbie have changed their appearance over the decade. So have G.I Joe.


Blockbuster was big in the world of VHS and now, it's gone. DVD's are starting to fade away too and so have movie theaters. You can just see a movie when it comes out on-line or on a DVR. I'm ok with no more VHS but getting rid of the VHS tapes will talke a while. It seems no one uses Beta's or VHS' anymore.
Kids use to meet others in the playground, now they friend each other on line. (I'm guilty of being one of them)  Technology is taking over our lives. I'm not kidding. When something happens, good or bad, believe me it might be taken over by something greater in a new millennium, remember mySpace? Nobody dose because of Facebook.

Teenagers were free spirited and the tv shows they portrayed in the 90's were good for them like "Clarissa Explains it all" "All that" and "Fresh Prince of Bel air" Now MTV doesn't even have music on it's station anymore. They are responsible for JERSESY SHORE and because of that, now every teenager wants to hook up with a dumb a$$ and let's say there are so many brainless dimwits out there that are copying saying that they might be from Jersey and have money, and now Reality TV is EVERYWHERE!!!

  We never had many of that except for game shows in the 90s. Drew Carey now hosts The Price is Right, Vanna White still looks gorgeous on Wheel of Fortune and Alex Trebek is leaving Jeopardy, and don't get me started about Millionaire ending up being syndicated and switching host after host after host.
  Survivor started in the early 2000s and is still active. TV shows today, don't even get me started Cartoon Network, Disney  Channel and Nickelodeon were awesome in the 90s now, they are dead to me.
 Maybe I'm a threat to change, but sometimes, we need to change for the better. But being a 90's child, seeing nostalgia before my eyes on-line and knowing that there are some tv stations are showing classic 90's shows and cartoons, I will never be lost in the nostalgia. Ciao bloggers

Goosebumps books vs tv show vs movie

  First off the books are the best out of the three. When I was young I was addicted to these books. The creator of these books was R.L. Stine. He started these book series in the 90's with "The haunted house next door" and ended the classic goosebumps with "Monster Blood IV"
  He also did a series called "Give yourself goosebumps" and "Goosebumps 2000" But the classic Goosebumps stories were the best. It really was scary back then, but now looking at them and reading them, it might more scarier to a young kid than an adult. Recently, they redid the covers on most of the Goosebumps books to make it look different and edgier. I like it but I prefer the original with the Goosebumps logo being bumpy.

He also had some other books that have come out for 2015 edition called "Creepy Creatures" and more Goosebumps stories but in the mid 90's they had a TV series on FOX kids called "Goosebumps" that was based on the books starting with "The haunted mask" a story about a girl who is trying to find a great Halloween costume, instead the mask she buys scares many people and she can't get it off. Since then there were so many of the episodes that were based on the books, however not many of them were really based on the books. Sometimes they would change the characters names or the places they would live. But I prefer that over the new movie. That is for sure.

The movie is bad. Not because of who they got to portray R.L. Stine (Jack Black) but they're trying to make this horror book and tv show seem more like a comedy. It was not meant to be a comedy. Unless one of the characters dies, or gets hurt or injured or captured by the villain (or villains) in the story, it seems more of a comedy. Three teenagers are trying to flee every R.L. Stine villain ever created from the books, but it seems like a comedic play once I saw the previews. I don't think this is something I want to see. The books and the 90's tv show were a lot better than this. I'm not a fan of Jack Black and I think he wasn't a great choice for R.L. Stine. But he did look the part, it wasn't worth it. I guess me being a 90's child I wanted to see the classic Goosebumps I fell in love with. But for the kids of today that didn't experience what I did, I hope they enjoy it.
