Mask or no mask-which is better?

Recently, there has been a lift on wearing a masks in certain places, but is it truly safe?  Are we ok yet? Some places yes, but some people are getting confused on if it is ok to take their mask off when shopping or even go inside a restaurant and eat again.

Before the lift happened, it seemed there were people that were following Trump and not wearing a mask. Some people would make excuses about having a medical problem, but they had no proof or doctor's note saying so.

There were videos posted saying that you had to wear a mask at Costco or at a mall or anywhere. Saying it was their god given right to not wear a mask. These people were idiots, and with them not wearing masks, they were making people get COVID faster.

When Biden was our president in January, he was wearing a mask. So was his vice president Harris. They were trying to protect America. I had to miss work for almost a year. Happily, I am now back and I still wear a mask. With my health, I have to wait to find out from doctors if it's ok to be mask less.

Before the lift, some people at Giant, as well as other places, they didn't want to wear a mask. Sometimes they would get kicked out, or yell at the manager saying that they don't have to wear one if they have a medical problem. Those people, to me, were idiots

There are some places that are considered a mask free zone. You can take it off, and enjoy breathing. There are other places that force you to keep the mask on. Groceries stores and malls go either way. You can wear a mask or not. We won't ask questions if you have been vaccinated or not. For me, I hate wearing a mask, but I will wear it. Why, for my health and families health.

Some people even got arrest for not wearing a mask before the lift. Some people not wearing a mask called the police to bother them. I see videos on YouTube with people, mostly Karens', calling officers explaining that they can't come in a store without wearing a mask. Some people have been kicked out for not wearing a mask.

For now, in my opinion, I would keep a mask on. I know I hate them, but I don't use them that much. Mostly when I'm out or at work. But I feel, till everyone is safe and vaccinated, keep the mask on. Even if you hate like I do. One day, we'll be mask free, and it will feel so different. Stay safe, and wear a mask, for all of us.

Here comes summer- Poem

The hotter days are here,

we get out the fans,

but yet,

we wonder,

is it still safe?

This year is getting somewhat better,

but is it still safe?

Are we free,

from the hell we have been in,

for over a year

Remembering to put on sunblock,

not too feel too hot,

drink lots of water,

beware of pop up storms

Time to get your swim suits on,

and go to the nearest beach you know,

enjoying the waves,

the sand,

and much,

much more

melting ice cream cones,

dripping over our hands,

the sweet juicy watermelon,

popsicles,

ice cream truck music playing,

the sounds of summer is upon us

the memories,

that will last a lifetime,

Memorial Day is not here yet,

but before you know it

campfire roars,

melting s'mores,

who can ask,

for anything more,

Spring is almost gone,

and summer is around the corner,

sunny days,

rainy days,

and much more,

enjoy summer while you can,

because before you know it,

it will bee gone

Happy Summer 2021

How I feel about the new Rugrats

When I was about six years old, there was a cartoon show on Nickelodeon that I loved. (For a while that is)

It was called Rugrats. A show about babies talking and going on strange adventures. They three movies (two good, one bad) as well as adding new characters to show.

   And now....

Thirty years later, we get this. WHAT THE HELL! I don't know what to say. Am I upset about it? Maybe. It's as if this network wants to destroy my childhood the same way Michael Bay does with movies.

The voice acting definitely has changed. How? Well, some of the original actors have passed away. They decided to replace them with different actors that sound similar to them. I'm ok with that. But the ones that are still around....well, why did they decline?

Seeing one look at this nightmare might be the reason. Who knows. Some of the voice actors have decided to come back. Mostly the voices of the babies, like Cheryl Chase who voices Angelica. Cree Summers is coming back to voice Suzie and Kath Source is coming back to voice the twins.

Some of the voice actors they picked for this new show.....god I don't know who they are. Some of the original voice actors of them, they're still alive. But with Tress McNeil busy with Simpsons as well as Animaniacs...she couldn't do it. I don't know the other excuses.

They even changed SpongeBob into a 3D nightmare with their spin off called Kamp Koral. OMFG! I just...have no words for this one. Yes SpongeBob has gone on a few years, and their new episodes aren't as great as the originals. Now...this?

Nickelodeon is a part of a new streaming website where these shows are seen on Paramount+. NO, I'm not getting that. Not because of Rugrats being all 3d, but I have enough streaming sites. I don't need another. Paramount + isn't one of the strongest of the streaming sites, even if it is new.

I have no desire to see the new Rugrats. I feel like seeing the originals that I fell in love with all over again. But with this being for a new generation, maybe kids will love it. Still happy that some of the original voice actors are coming back. Let's just hope this doesn't piss off a lot of fans. Good luck to a bunch of babies searching for adventure.

Sonic the Hedgehog (movie and sequel)

We all know that little blue hedgehog from the SEGA games, but he also is known than just being a SEGA game or icon.

In 1991, SEGA genesis came out with a new video came starring a blue hedgehog named Sonic. He would collect rings as well as defeating a villain that goes by the name of Dr. Robotnick. Why would he try to stop Sonic. I have no idea why.

Sonic would soon have other games like Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 as well as a 3d version.

Sonic was the brain child of two creators by the name of Yuji Naika and Nado Ohshima. Soon came cartoons of this blue hedgehog who could run as fast as the Roadrunner.

"The adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog" was one of the first cartoons starring the blue hedgehog. His love for Chili dogs and tricking Robotnick and his goons were the main point of the show. I wasn't a huge fan of this one. But one plus, the voice acting.

Jaleel White, who was a nerd back in the 80's in Family Matters became a voice actors and was one of the voices of Sonic. With this version, it wasn't great. It felt more goofy as if the show needed ritalin. It was all over the place. It also had a Sonic Says segment.

Later, there was another Sonic cartoon that was a bit better. It seemed darker and grittier. Feeling as if the evil Robotnick has taken over his city He has a group of friends that help find a way to save everyone as well as themselves. The only down side was the finalie. It was in a cliffhanger, and it seemed there was going to be another villain as well.

Sonic had some pals around like a two tailed fox named Tailes and another hedgehog that was enemy turned friend named Knuckles. Knuckles was considered a stronger and tougher hedgehog. He was in some cartoon movies and tv shows, and now there is rumors that he could be in the new Sonic Sequel that is coming out next year.

Sonic the hedgehog movie was a big move from small to big screen. But...who would voice the hedgehog, how will the design look? Who would play Robotnick?

First off, when they first designed Sonic, he looked nothing like a cartoon character. He had small eyes, human teeth and it was just all out HORENDOUS! But happily they listened to the viewers and changed sonic. Making his eyes bigger, his head bigger, having hidden teeth, making it look more like the cartoon character we all fell in love with.

Jim Carey had the opportunity of playing Dr. Robotnick. Some people were skeptical at first while others were pretty happy to see him play a villan. He did a pretty good job. He made this movie five times better. He will even play Robotnick in the sequel

Jaleel White is not voicing Sonic in the movies. He was replaced by actor Ben Schawrtz. He did a good job. HIs voice is pretty iconic for anyone that's a fan of Parks and Recreation. He is voicing him again in the sequel.

The sequel will have more characters real and computer. Sonic's friend/enemy Knuckles will the there as well as his partner Tails. Jim Carey will be creating a whole new version of Dr. Robotnick. It would similar to the one from the cartoons and video game.

Coming out around Easter of Next year, no one knows what will happen next. Most of the actors will be back for the movie. I can't wait to see it. Thought I wouldn't like the first one, but I did. And well...you never know what will happen next to a hedgehog with red sneakers and SEGA.

The best of Billy Joel

With Billy Joel just turned 72 this week, I like to go over a few of the songs I remember from him. From the time I was a baby to today, and how his music is iconic to many people like me.

The first one i wanna start with is his album Storm Front. Coming out in 1989, it had a few songs that I remember. With songs like; "I go to extremes," "That's not her style", "Storm front" and even my favorite one out of all of them. "We didn't start the fire" Which he talks about everything that has been going on in his life from his birth to that day.

There was another album he had before that one. With a song that was very popular. It was called "Piano man". It's a story about a man and his troubles. I loved it. It was the most requested song ever when he performs in concerts.

I don't know when, but this happened when mom and I went a Billy Joel concert. Everyone was shouting for him to play that song along with a few others.

One of my favorite Billy Joel songs is not even "We didn't start the fire." It's "A Matter of trust" Coming around 1986, before I knew who he was. I just love the music as well as the video I saw of it years ago. He had some great hits as well like: "The Downeaster Alexa", "That's not her Style", "I go to extremes", "It's still rock n roll to me", "You may be right" and much more.

He has changed over the year. Mostly shaving his head bald for his look. His beard is now white, and he has had a wonderful family life. Getting married, having kids, and I think he's now a grandfather. Yes he had marital issues in the past, but I think that's all behind him.

Billy Joel is still going on strong at 72. Still performing at concerts (although, because of COVID, not many) Performing his hit songs, even extending the "We didn't start the fire" to add Trump. LOL. And how did I get on to liking him, well.... when I was little, I would dance to his music with those dancing flowers. Thanks Billy Joel. Thank you

Happy birthday, Bro- Poem

I got a brother

I tried to get along

we had our problems

We fought,

we got angry,

but he was there for me,

and I was there for them,

We've don things like:

fight,

bicker,

hurt each other,

but as we got older,

we became more understanding,

we started to care for each other

Now:

he's 34,

He's doing well....

on his own,

I'm happy for him,

and he's happy for me

Happy birthday, brother

I love u

Star wars day (2 days earlier)

I know I'm two days early....and I have talked about this before...but the thing is....when did this start?

The movies started in the 1970's with 'Star Wars', then 'The Empire Strikes back' as well as 'Return of the Jedi.' But the day itself...really started around the time the prequels came out.

Around the time 'The Phantom Menace' came out, people (especially Star War Fanatics) had mixed feelings. Especially with the character Jar-Jar Binks. The other two movies were hit and miss to me. The third one was hen the day started to become known.

Starting in the year 2011, May 4th, it would soon be known as 'Star Wars day' With the quote "may the force be with you" sounding like May the 4th be with you, every May 4th was known as Star Wars. Every nerd obsessed with the movie as well as tv series they've crated over the years, worship this day. I don't worship it as much as others do, but I do watch a Star Wars movie while some tv shows show every movie from the prequel to the final one.

This year, well it'll still be like every other year. Ten years since the day was created. More people celebrate by watching every movie of Star Wars, even the clone wars as well as the other movies that have to do with Star Wars. For me, I guess I'll be watching. Will u? Oh by the way, they do have a second day called "Revenge of the fifth." Which happens on May fifth.

So, they have two days, but 'May the Forth' is the biggest Star wars day with the next day coming in second.

Happy Star Wars day and: "May the Forth be with you"
