Celebrity SIblings

We all have a brother or sister. Some of the have one and others have more than one. Even Celebrities have a sibling. Sometimes, they're twins. Here are a few siblings that are not heard of much, but their other sibling is very famous.

Let's start with Emma Watson. We all know her as Hermione on Harry Potter and she went on to do better roles. She has a younger brother named Alex. Two years younger than her, he only appeared in minor roles in some films. He was also a student in "Harry Potter and the Sourcer's Stone" He is also has done model work as well as just cameo in a few movies, some with his sister in it. He never wanted to take his sister's path, but he's always there for her.

Not many people know about Ashton Kutcher's twin brother (who is a minute younger than he is) Not only does Ashton have an older sister named Tausha, his fraternal twin brother, Michael had a heart transplant when he was very young. Michael also has Cerebral Palsy and Ashton cares deeply about his brother that he has raised funds for Cerebral Palsy for people like his brother to have a second chance.

Frodo has a younger sister named Hannah. She doesn't star in many movies with her brother, but she always looks up to him. Elijah also has an older named Zachariuh, and even though he doesn't travel with Elijah to find a ring in lord of the rings, Elijah would look up to him.

Nicole Kidman has a younger sister named Antonia. Antonia is a journalist in Australia where she and Nicole were born. Living mostly in Hawaii when she and Nicole were little, it seemed Antonia went back to Australia to be a journalist. She still sees Nicole from time to time (mostly when Nicole was filming Australia) and had a marriage that ended in tragedy. She is still living in Australia and still loves her big sister.

Brad Pitt has two younger siblings. One of them is named Doug. Who is Doug Pitt? Besides being a younger brother to a celebrity, Doug founded the ServiceWorld Computer Center. He sold 75% of the shares to the Miami Shares Enterprise. He's mostly in sales and tires to get help from his older brother.

Before Beyoncé became a mega star, she was in a singing group called Destiny's child with her younger sister Solange. She wanted to be like her sister and become a singer. Destiny's child started around the 1990's and broke up when Beyoncé became a solo singer. Solange is a singer too, but not as popular as her older sister. They have reunited Destiny's child recently and she and Beyoncé are still closer than ever.

Scarlett is famous in movies and a few tv spots, but not many people know she has a twin brother named Hunter. She also has an older sister and an older brother as well, but it seems, being a twin, it's pretty interesting. Her brother, as well her as her other siblings, are not as famous as she is, but they do go to premiers with her, especially Hunter at times. What does Hunter do? He has been on Entertainment Tonight as a few other things, and he's two minutes older than Scarlett.

Everyone knows who the Olson twins are, but not many people know they have a younger sister named Elizabeth (who is taller than them) She has become more famous than her older sisters these days. She starred in their old Mary Kate and Ashley movies, and now: she's in Godzilla, Captain America and many more movies. She is engaged to be married, and what does she think of her older siblings? Well, I think she loves them.

I have a younger brother that I love very much. Yeah, I give him a hard time, and ugh...well, we never got along when we were kids, but now, we're closer than ever, and I really do love him. I guess siblings fight, don't get along, argue, but it seems, through tough times, love is still there. And for me, I'm glad I have a little brother.

And I bet these siblings to happy to have one another.

2021 Economy

The downfall of society and the loss of business, took a huge hit in the economy of 2020. But we're in a new new for almost 22 days.

In 2020, around March, we noticed a change, a huge change. Businesses started to vanish, people started to lose their jobs, and the economy in terror. Fear started to show in many people afraid to go shopping for groceries, some working from home, and others...not working at all

Covid might be to blame for the downfall of the economy for 2020, and with only twenty-two days of 2021, it seems the same. Covid is still out there, and it might get worse. People fear going into work, even now. Restaurants only will do take out or delivery. Some are starting to open again.

Back in 2020, the economy plummeted. Although some stores remained open, they didn't stay in business very long. Some businesses, mostly family owned stores are starting to go under. A lot of people are without jobs because of the COVID. Mostly people that have health issues and cannot go back to work (unless they work from home)

Now, in 2021, some of the restaurants are starting to go back to normal. Although, there would be guide lines, and limited seating. Some shows are starting to go back. Most were cancelled because of COVID, but it seems some things are going back to normal.

President Biden is trying to get children back into school. It seems schools are trying to get back to normal. When we were suffering, most schools were closed. But recently have opened, but only through Zoom. Some schools are now opened, but with limited students. Some students have to stay home because of health reasons, yet they still are in class through Zoom.

Things may never be the same, but we're trying to improve. We're trying to make our lives better, even in the worst of times. But happily, with a new president, the economy cam become better. Not stronger, but strong enough to survive this year when it was near death last year

Taco Bell vs Del Taco

Not much of a fan of Mexican cuisine. But, I don't think I could even call it that. Why am I talking about these two places? Are they similar in comparison or is it something else?

Let's start with Taco Bell and how it got it's beginnings

The restaurant Taco Bell was started in the 1960's by a man named Glenn Bell. He wanted to make it a hot dog stand before changing it into a Mexican restaurant. The first Taco Bell restaurant was in Irvine, California and it grew to be something much more than what Glenn Bell expected.

The restaurant started to change over the years. PepsiCo soon purchased Taco Bell, making everything from soft tacos to chicken club burritos. They even made their own Mexican taco pizza. It really wasn't what Taco Bell was in Glenn's eyes. They Americanized it like Pizza Hut or KFC Americanized their food

In 1997, advertisers wanted people to know what they are. They used a small female chihuahua to advertise saying in Spanish that he wants some taco bell. I remember these commercials when I was a teenager. The voice actor, Carlos Alazraqui, hated voicing that chihuahua. He would get sick when people ask him to say the logo. It seemed Taco Bell had more problems coming to them.

It seemed two men from Michigan pitched the concept of the chihuahua commercials before Taco Bell did it. It seemed the two men thought of the commercial six years before they were made, and wanted the money for it. Taco Bell lost the lawsuit and decided to retire the commercials indefinitely

.

Taco Bell is still going strong, although since COVID, they mostly have been focusing on deliveries to residents. The recent big hit was a Doritos taco where the taco shell is made of Doritos chips. Never eating it, I guess a lot of people love the idea of combining Taco Bell and Doritos together.

The other restaurant I want to talk about is Del Taco. There isn't one near is, but it's considered a Taco Bell II. Having the same food as them, they even offer great Marketing Techniques as well. Started in the sixties, Del Taco wanted to be the first wannabe- Mexican Restaurant in America

Founded by two men in Barstow, California, Del Taco was considered an American-Style Mexican restaurant serving Tacos, burritos, Nachos and much more. They even have their own style of fries. Crinkle cut of course.

Del Taco has opened over 370 stores, limited though, and mostly on the west coast with a few acceptations in Ohio and Michigan. I don't know, or think that there's any around where I live. They have good marketing techniques to lure in people to their restaurant.

Their marketing isn't as strong as Taco Bell, but at least they don't pull in gimmicks with talking dogs or hungry teens. They do it their own way. Even if they have a slogan called 'Beyond Meat'. Del Taco is limited in some states, but they still claim to be a good restaurant, and they don't consider themselves to be fast food like Taco Bell.

I don't care for either since I'm not big on that style of food. But knowing Taco Bell more than Del Taco, I seem them to be the more superior restaurant when serving Tacos or Nachos. Their commercials pull you in of course, and they recently put in Nacho fries which everyone craves, but...you be the judge

Worst and Best Adam Sandler movies

Adam Sandler is considered an interesting person. Why? Sometimes...in his movies, they can be good, or they can be bad. And it seems he has made more money in his movies whether they were good or bad. I can give you my critique of each movie I have seen from the year it came out, and tell if it's worth seeing, or skippable.

Let's start with Airheads. A movie that came out in 1994. Adam Sandler played a small roll with Brandon Fraiser and Steve Buscemi as they are trying to become rock stars. Hijacking a radio station, they try to get their mixed tape on the radio. When they don't get what they want, they hold two of the radio jockeys (played by Joe Mantega and Michael McKean) hostage. I found this movie to be pretty enjoyable. Although it really isn't a true Adam Sandler Movie, it's still worth the watch. I'd give it a C+ or B-

I don't remember this movie that well. Coming out in 1995, Billy Madison was a movie about a childish Adam Sandler character going back to school. I never saw it, but I remember some of the quotes. The most memorable being: "Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely, idiotic thing I have ever heart. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having to listened to it. I award you no points, and may god have mercy on your soul." and that was said by the principal during what seemed to be a pop quiz or something. I don't remember. I give a movie a C. Haven't seen it, so I can't say anything negative

This movie I have seen before and I do like. Adam plays an aggressive wannabe hockey player. Finding out he has no chance, his girlfriend dumps him and well...everything goes south for him. His grandmother loses his house and she ends up in a nursing home. Trying to get ready for next Hockey tryouts, he takes up golf. Getting help from a pro golf player, he tries his best to win his grandmother's house back before it ends up sold. However a jackass pro golf player (portrayed by Christopher McDonald) wants him off the tour. Happy also wins a young woman's heart who works with the pro golf tour (played by Julie Bowen) I really enjoyed this movie. It had mixed reviews. For me, It's a B+

I've never seen most of this movie, but I've heard a positive reviews on it. It's about Adam portraying a wedding singer; falls in love with Drew Barrymore's character. I wish I could remember more, but with this film, I guess Adam's character wants more in his life, even love. He finds it while performing at Weddings. I guess, not knowing this movie that well...you'll have to judge for yourself. I guess this movie will get a pass. A B+ to an A-

Big Daddy, which came out in 1999, is about Adam Sandler who is nothing but a loser. He soon finds a kid in the front door of his apartment. What does he do, raise him. However it isn't his kid. It's his friend's (played by Jon Stewart) who is away on business. He decides to watch over him, but it seems the kid is too much, and Adam is not a great role model. Eventually, he helps the kid, as well as clean up his act. However, child services finds out the truth and arrest him. Place a kid in foster care, and eventually... the truth comes out from Adam's friend. I really enjoyed this movie. Sad to say...this was the last time he would make a decent movie for a while. A-

The downfall of his movies starts with Little Nicky where he portrays the Devil's son who is hooked on Popeye's chicken. I really don't know. I saw this movie and I wasn't a big fan of it. Why? It just wasn't the kind of movie I would enjoy. They have good actors in it, but the story was just so weak. For me... I would pass Maybe a D+, because I don't wanna be cruel.

When Adam went into animation, he wanted to make a Hanukah movie. Fine, but this is garbage. He portrays a character who's downright disgusting, rude, a pain in the neck to be with. It seems his character has no life, and hangs out with a friend who has a whiny voice (surprise It's Adam Sandler) I don't want to get into much with this one. There is one plus. The design and creation of the cartoon, everything else with the writing and the acting....god horrible.

Sometimes, I have to say... some comedians can do drama. No acception for Adam here with Bedtime story. I don't know much about it, but I guess it has something to do with Adam telling his children in the movie about a bedtime story that will end up coming to life. I don't remember much of the premise, but...it's a harmless movie with harmless acting and story. So, a C for me.

Dear god, this was the worst one. The one that won almost every Raspberry in every cataglory. A story about Adam Sandler playing a man and a woman. Supposed twins named Jack and Jill. What else is this movie about. Almost two hours of a nightmare that almost ruined Al Pacino's career. You heard right, Al Pacino starred in this and his character has the hots for Adam Sandler in drag. God this movie is HORENDOUS! Not worth the watch and believe... steer clear of this one. A huge F

Adam has done other movies like: The Waterboy, Anger Management, Hotel Transalvania (where he voices a vampire that runs a hotel), Grown Ups, The Longest Yard, Grandma's boy, Click. The list goes on.

Recently, he's been doing Netflix movies, and I have seen them. What do I think of them? I'll give you three.

Murder Mystery is about Adam Sandler portraying a man dating Jennifer Aniston. They are on a cruise where everyone ends up a suspect after there was a murder. Fingers are pointed and even a French detective is on the case. Finding more people ending up dead, Adam and Jennifer's character fear their lives. They soon find out the truth on who killed who. They save the French Detective as well, and end up on the Oriental Express at the end for their train ride home. I thought this movie was pretty good. Not great. Not one of the best, but still ok. B+

I found uncut gems to be one of the best Netflix movies as well as one of the best Adam Sandler movies as well. With his hits and misses, this is worth the watch. Another drama, Adam plays a gambling addict who's trying steal gems and gamble them away. He soon realizes people are after him and he tries to hide the evidence. Falling love, and ending up regretting everything at the end. A-. Worth the watch for sure.

Hubie Halloween is the recent Netflix movie that came out last autumn. Around Halloween, a man name Hubie patrols the small town he lives in. He lives with his mother, gets picked on and much more. But soon people start to disappear, mostly the people that have been making fun of him. He finds out his mother is involved in the kidnappings. Julie Bowen stars as Hubie's love interest. I found this movie to be not bad, but not amazing. B-

Adam Sandler is still making movies to this day. He even can play guitar and did a special tribute for his friend Chris Farley when he last hosted SNL a year ago. He's not a bad actor, sometimes he can hit rough patches with his movies, and other times you get a little gem of an Adam Sandler movie. You just have to find the one you like

Food no one easts anymore

There are some foods not many people have heard of, and there are some that are unheard of, and never seen before. These are the foods that faded out of existence due to high price demands, or people trying to become healthier. No reason why...but have you ever heard of these foods? And I guess, if you did, do you remember them fondly?

This dish was called a Jell-O salad. What is it? Well I guess this came out around the fifties and sixties when housewives were trying to become creative with dishes. Jell-O was starting to become popular for kids as mothers decide to add some tomatoes and other things in the Jell-O. People loved it but...why? I find this to be disgusting. Jell-O, in general, is not my favorite desert. This desert faded by the eighties and no one knows why, but thank god this abomination is gone.

When was the last time you had this? An Ambrosia or fruit salad like this was popular at summer picnics back in the day. Would be considered a delegacy for some house wives. Adding cream, coconut shavings, marshmallows? What is this? I've never had this in my life. Maybe I've seen it before, but since it's no longer around, it faded in my memory as well. This was delegacy a salad meant at a summer barbecue in the past.

I used to eat these before when I was young, and my parents still crave 'em. But, why don't we eat these as much as we used to? I guess, back in the 90's children would eat these at school cafeterias. They would want them at dinner, singing a 'Manwich' song. Now, I guess with it being high in calorie and fat, we don't eat them much as we used to.

Fondue...back me in the seventies, was a huge hit. Now...it faded like disco. We do see some people create their own out of Nostalgia, but back then...it was a hit at parties, dances, pot luck dinners what not. For people, they would melt cheese, any kind, into a pot. Get stale bread, cut it up into squares, and dip it in the cheese. There's also a desert version where they use chocolate, melt it and dip strawberries. Yum.

Meatloaf was popular back in the fifties and maybe sixties. Mostly housewives would make 'em by adding ground beef, ketchup and other ingredients. It was one of the most popular dishes of the past. But, I guess...with the high fat, people are trying to stay clear away from meatloaf. Maybe making a healthier version like turkey loaf. Using ground Turkey instead of beef, or forgoing Meatloaf all together.

Those commercials from the 90's still ring in my head. Where active teenagers go through a fridge and find something to quench their thirst. They find Sunny D, but do they know what's in it? Back when I was a teenager, none of us knew or cared what was in our drinks. Never knowing how much sugar they contained. I'll stick to water thank you. I even read a case where a teenage girl drank her weight in Sunny D and turned orange. OMG. Sunny D is still around, but we don't drink it as much as we used to.

A long time ago, Cottage cheese was considered popular. A food to enjoy. But none of us eat that anymore when yogurt is available. Cottage cheese was a replacement for Ricotta in Lasagnas. NOT FOR ME. Cottage cheese contains a lot of calories, plus it was a headache to make if you do it homemade style. Now, we stick to yogurt.

Whole milk, people used to drink that in small, unopen able containers we used to get at school. But now, people want to get healthy. They want to drink skim milk, or no milk at all. Now a days, for people that are lactose intolerant or even people who have an allergy to dairy would drink different forms of milk like...oat milk, almond milk, soy and many other variations. For me, I drink 2%. Healthier than whole milk, but not as healthy as other verities.

Ever had homemade Tapioca pudding before. Made at home? The hours of labor you would have to endure, making it from scratch? Now you know why Tapioca isn't popular as it used to be. Don't get me wrong, it's still around, but...not homemade versions. Jell-O has their own brand of Tapioca pudding. What do I think of it? Pass. Not a Tapioca fan. But, if you it, find it if you can, and if you want to make it homemade...go right ahead.

TV Dinners. Popular in the sixties and seventies...but by the end of the nineties, people were starting to wonder...how healthy are TV Dinners? Full of sodium, preservatives and much more that nobody wants to put in their mouths. I to used to eat tv dinners in the form of Kid Cuisines when I was little. Now, I just make my own meals. There are still TV dinners out there, but at least companies are trying not to add too much preservatives and salt in their foods, but then again, would you really eat 'em?

People have noticed some food trends coming and going, and some foods disappear in existence. For us, we find the foods we love, and then we let them go when we find something new. Enjoy the foods, and what we have now, because one day...it'll be nothing but nostalgia to us
