Ever heard of that term????
People are doing it more often now with great shows on Netflix like House of Cards with Kevin Spacy and Orange is the new Black and many other shows.
"Binge watching" started when it was popular to sit in front of a tv for hours and just watch episode upon episode upon episode of your favorite show from the beginning of the series to the recreant episode.
With me I would binge watch on Simpsons or Seinfeld and even other shows that are popular like "Empire" "Hell's Kitchen"
Many shows that have memorable episodes, but when Netflix came around binge watching became the new thing, even DVR'ing was a new term where you tape tv shows and watch them when you feel like watching them. Binge Watching is just gluing yourself to the TV and watching episode upon episode of the same show. I do that sometimes, but not all the time.
I don't binge watch everyday. I have a life, but many people do nothing but binge watch on their favorite tv show day after day and that's all they do. It all started when breaking bad became so popular.
Now thanks to tablets and Netflix subscriptions, people can just watch their favorite shows wherever and whenever they want. It's just there waiting for them.
I'm binge watch once in a while but I know when to stop, but others will never know, and I doubt they ever will. Binge Watching will never die down when civilization knows how to hold a remote in their hand and click away their lives, but they do for the enjoyment and for the rush of knowing they love one tv show. Till then I guess we'll have to say thanks Netflix for keeping people glued to their couches and thanks to Hulu who is also responsible for the binge watches keeping them glued to their computers. I guess it's not a bad thing, just watch tv or binge watch sparingly. Thanks for all the late night watching you binge watching people. Ciao Bloggers
