Why am I blogging about this....
Because this movie is one of the most talked about and most watched horror film ever. Even the score is also horrifying.
In the scene where Janet Leigh's character is driving down the road, the music plays and its hypnotizing to viewer.
But the most watched scene is of course the shower where is stabbed to death. But have you taken a good look at that scene?
The blade of the knife never touches her skin and of course that haunting; haunting music that will be known forever as the blood (or chocolate sauce as it was used) swirls in the drain in the tub, and the eye of the victim is shown, dead.
And the murder, well as he says "a boy's best friend is his mother" Norman Bates had a troubled life, and would look after his mother, but there was a terrible side to him, no one knew about.
By the end of the movie, there was no Mrs. Bates, it seemed she was already dead and Norman Bates was just portraying his dead mother, but why? well by the end of the movie, the detective explains everything on why Norman Bates was the way he was.
Why he was sick,
Why he was lonely,
Why he was his mother. It seemed that he killed his mother after his father died since she was a demanding woman, and he didn't want anyone to be with her. Seeing Janet Leigh's character had striking image of Norman Bates mother, he dressed up as her, and killed her.
He did it to many women and it was a sickening too.... but what brings a killer to do such things? the voices in his head of course, the voices of his mother telling her that she is a tramp and him replying: "I don't hate her, I hate what she's become"
Sometimes there is a little inking in killers to do the things they do and it shows in this movie, and parodied it tv shows and in another movie staring Vince Vaughn but the classic will stay with us forever just like the smile on Norman Bates Face, will stay with us forever. And never leave us and scare us to death every Halloween knowing what he really is thinking when he is his mother.
Ciao for now Bloggers!
