What I like about the olympics

Ever since I was young, I loved watching the Summer Olympics. Mostly the swimming and the running. I started watching around mid 90's mostly 96 when it came to Atlanta, and well I just liked it a lot, grew to enjoy our athletes even more. Knowing that getting there is half the battle, and being there is much more of a journey.

It takes heart, strength, courage, power to earn not only a medal but to make your country proud of you. But to tell you the truth, I think all these athletes are heroes in their own way.

What I like about it is the Olympics mostly is the parade in the beginning. Granted it's long, but it is fun to see the countries fighting out for a medal. Some more countries come around every other year while others don't compete for personal reasons. This year it seems that there are more countries competing this year than any other year.

I also like to watch the winter Olympics as well. Not as much as Summer Olympics, but still fun to watch of course. But for some reason, I'm more into Summer Olympics, and the thing is every year that is a leap year, not only we have a new President elected we also get the summer Olympics.

America has shown great strive in the years that has come such as 1996 when young 19 year old Kerri Strug finished her gymnastics and won a medal on hurt ankle. And don't forget Michael Phleps and his many gold medals when he went go Beijing last Summer Olympics. I route for USA every Summer Olympics and I will for a long time. GO USA!!!!! Caio Bloggers!!! GO for the Gold!

Wizard of Oz Slot machines

I don't play a lot of slot games when I'm at a casino, but when I do, there's one in paticular that I really like.

Two of them, with one theme. "WIZARD OF OZ"  One of them is the glass slipper version where if you get the bonus wilds, you get the glass slipper tapping and bubbles popping everywhere.
I remember seeing one guy get all wilds and won over $9,000 dollars. Lucky him.

Every time a character would pop up as well as say the wicked witch or the the wizard, you would get a bonus spin and if you get another character, you get a bonus game. The witch one I don't like. Every time you pick a ruby, you risk picking the witch and I hated that, because I end up getting the witch the first time.
The wizard gives you free spins. I like that one, there's also a cryastal ball one that gives you free credits, which is nice.

Another wizard of oz slot game I like (but I don't play often at the borgata) is the original wizard of oz game (picture shown up), where you can get a bonus by selecting one of the three bonuses that come up. One of the bonuses I hate, going to the Emerald city. Why? Because, just in the other slot machine, I get the Emerald city first and I have to select another ruby first just to get in. Once in a while I do a get a character to get in. The Flying Monkey bonus is free spin game  Glenda is good luck and I like it when she comes, mostly because she sends free wilds. On the other one, you never know when the free wilds will come up, but when Glenda starts blinking, watch out. I once got four wilds. I was happy. I remember being on one machine and kept getting Glenda non stop. I liked that.

There are many Wizard of Oz slot machines, and I wouldn't be surprised if there were more coming soon, but these are the only two I play. Enjoy your summer, bloggers ! God Rest the 12 lost souls in Aurora, Colorado.

Goodbye Griffith Goodbye Borgnine

Is it me or is this year just cursed with losing great talent. Now we lost two great actors. Ernest Borgnine and Andy Griffith.

Andy Griffith had his own show from 1960 to 1968. He was a struggling widower sheriff who took in a child named Opie (portrayed by Ron Howard) and his sidekick Barney Fife (portrayed by the late Don Knotts)

Andy Griffith also was in Matlock as well for a few years. He portrayed Matlock of course. He was in other television shows as well, but was in small rolls. He was still acting was still acting in his old age in the movie Waitress where he played an old customer named Joe who always come in for a piece of pie.

But his most known was for portraying that Sheriff which I bet he'll be doing in heaven with Barney Fife.

Another great we lost recently was Ernest Borgnine. He was 95. He was most known for McHale's Navy portraying Quentin McHale, the lead. He was many movie roles as well. He also was in Airwolf, voiced a superhero on Spongebob Squarepants, and won an Academy Award for Marty.

Ernest Borgnine was still acting in his old age. He was in the skit "what's up with that" on SNL. Mostly his last known TV performance. He never got a chance to say much, but he was still cracking up at the end. And made us laugh all the time, no matter what character he played.

He and Griffith will be missed. Goodbye both great talented actors. RIP and hopefully you'll like my dog Fudge as company with u.

Itchy and Scratchy show. (ARE THEY LIKE TOM AND JERRY?)

If u watch 'The Simpsons' then you would know "Itchy and Scratchy show"

Itchy is a mouse while Scratchy is a cat. Scratchy would always end up being killed in almost every episode, except for one where he kidnaps and ties up Itchy but we never know what happens because the TV gets unplugged. And for some reason, some of the episodes of Itchy and Sctachy are just the same the Simpsons. The new ones of Itchy and Scratchy they have today are pretty lame.

They even try to add in a dog named Poochy (which Homer voiced) but that didn't work out too well. They decided to get rid of that character and just keep Itchy and Scratchy.

Their first appearance on the Simpsons was on the episode "there's no disgrace like home" Marge hated the violence Itchy and Scratchy had set an example for Maggie by almost killing Homer that she forced the creators of the show to make a friendlier episode of Itchy and Scratchy, but it was more trippier than you think.

Even the real creator of Itchy (voiced by Kirk Douglas) thinks that Roger Myers stole Itchy's design and claimed it as his own, until he is found out as a fraud and Itchy and Scratchy is canceled, but then another set of kids (that look like Bart and Lisa) discover that Mr. Zip was a rip off of Roger Myers stick figure creation that he designed years ago.

There are so many episodes of the Simpsons that have Itchy and Scratchy in it, even the new ones. Even though the new episodes are getting more stale, Itchy and Scratchy are not like Tom and Jerry. Itchy kills Scratchy while Tom and Jerry just hurt each other in every episode.

It's Ice Cream Month.

It's Already July! I know I can't believe it's already July. What do I love about this month? Well how about it being a whole month dedicated to ICE CREAM!!!!!

     That's right Ice Cream.
Cool huh! I love Ice Cream. Mostly chocolate scoop on a cone. Licking it till it's gone. Now that is heaven.  I have a favorite Ice Cream Shop called Jitty Joe's but it's up in Northern PA. I go there all the time when I have to go to Old Forge, PA to visit my grandfather's grave around Memorial day. How they don't have a store near me, I don't know why.

I'm posting a lot about Ice Cream on Facebook throguh July. The history, most popular brands, tid-bits what have yeah. There are some brands of ice cream that sell fro-yo and lactose intolerant ice cream as well that is sweet.

Almost everyone in the world has ice cream. In Italy they call it 'Gelato' It's sweeter than ice cream and less sugary.  In China, they have an ice cream made of mung beans. That sounds gross, but to China, they love it. I just stick to chocolate on a cone.

There is also regional stores that sells ice cream like 'Ben and Jerry's' 'Hagan Daz' and even 'TCBY' I love TCBY. It use to be called. This can't be yogurt. Now it's changed to the Country's best yogurt. I'm going to enjoy some ice cream now. Enjoy July and Ice Cream month as well. And blog back when u can back tell me what your favorite ice cream flavor is. Ciao Bloggers and HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!!!
