Happy birthday, Jon Bon Jovi

Not only is it "Read across America" day in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday, but there is another. An artist that goes by the name of John Francis Bongiovi. Short for Jon Bon Jovi. Today is his birthday and he has been an amazing artist, but he also had an amazing band back in the 80's

Born on March 2nd in 1962, Jon Bon Jovi didn't start becoming popular or known until 1974 when he had a small band in high school that he would start preforming with a band called Raze. In later years, mostly in the early 80's mostly rock and roll were starting to become popular. Bon Jovi gone on the band wagon and started his own band called Bon Jovi

He started becoming known mostly in New Jersey around Atlantic City with a few other performers like Alec John who played the bass, Tico Torres who was a drummer and Richie Sambora. They started their band and a became a huge hit.

One album I want to talk about from Bon Jovi and his band is 'Slippery when wet' An album title you would see on a road sign, which is where Jon and his band got the name of the album. They have songs like: 'Raise your hand' ', 'You give love a bad name', 'Livin' on a Prayer' and 'Wanted dead or alive.'

They had other hit songs that they were known for, but in the 90's... they weren't that memorable as we know them now.

Around early 2000's it seemed Jon and is band struck gold with a song called... 'It's my Life'. I love the song, and the music video was pretty good as well.

Once in a while, Jon Bon Jovi went solo with some of his hits. Not many were as popular when he was in the band. Back in the 80's he had a lotta hair and they were considered 'hair bands' back in the 80's.

Jon cut his hair when the years went by signifying the hair might be gone....but he was not. He did pretty well and still at times sings solo with some hits.

Jon Bon Jovi is considered a really nice person when it comes to the fans. Some singers (like Beyonce or JLo) would treat their fans and teamsters like shit.

Bon Jovi is the polar opposite of that. He even would sing some of his own songs at a karaoke bar if it was playing. He would even sign autographs and feel like he was just a normal human being. Which he is.

Now, he's 63 years old, and it seems he's still doing great. Sure, he hasn't been performing much like he used to, but he does show once in a while he still got it.

Hope he, as well as a few others, have a wonderful birthday. It's your live, Jon. We're just enjoying your company.
