Remembering Dick Clark

Found out that Dick Clark had died today of a heart attack. He was considered somewhat a legend. Starting his career in Philadelphia with American Bandstand making some famous people ala Gladys Knight or Percy Sledge become stars just like Randy Jackson is doing today on Idol and Agulara is doing on the voice.

Dick Clark went on to do so much more, like becoming a game show host for $10,000 pyramid and $50,000 pyramid and New Years' Rockin' Eve which my family and I heard him do for many many years until his stroke and Ryan Seacrest took over and it got a little sad. He did radio programs in the beginning before making it huge on TV. American Bandstand lasted till about 1980's.

He made guest appearances on TV shows like Fresh Prince of Bel Air, The Simpsons, Dharma and Greg. He even had his own Dick Clark show. Dick Clark world of talent that lasted from September to December of 1959.

He was indicted in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. There is even a restaurant in Missouri called Dick Clark's AB  Grille and another one called Dick Clark's Bandstand — Food, Spirits & Fun

Dick Clark suffered a stroke in 2004 after also suffering from type 2 diabetes.  He returned to television even though he still had a stroke he was not much the same but he spark personality was still there. We will miss him so much but happily to say, there will now be an American Bandstand in heaven . Rest in peace Dick Clark.

Independent- poem

We are all adults after 18
We look for different ways in life
We even stay in or move out of our childhood house
and into the new world
We grow more better in life
find jobs that suit us right
but it doesn't have to be after we are 18
Some of us still live in our childhood house,
others depart,
some have jobs very young,
while others wait a while longer,
we'll either marry young or old,
but once we are this particular age,
we make our own decisions,
our own mistakes,
our own choices,
and why,
there is one thing about us
we become
INDEPENDENT

Poetry Month

It is April and yes, it is Poetry Month. I love Poetry! I love reading it I love to write it I just love poetry.

I don't know why, but I've been addicted to the written word of poems. I love to write my own poems. I've been writing poetry since I was eleven and took poetry classes when I was in high school and in night classes. I might want to take another night class in the future but right now, I'll be OK, but if there is availability for a poetry class, I'm going to take it.

I want to further my poetry writing, and my other writing as well. I love to write. I'm not a big fan of reading, but for some reason, some authors do get inspirations from other stories as well as their own life. I have two story ideas I might start soon, and I want to further on my poetry as well.

So for the whole month of April to the beginning of May I'm going to post a famous poem on Facebook once in a while
and the poet of that poem as well. I already did one and I'm going 2 post another on Thursday. Will blog again soon Maybe with another of my poems! Caio Bloggers! Keep reading (even if it is poetry)
