Cartoons are considered amazing to children, and the young at heart. Making them become a live action movie or tv show might rub people the wrong way. How? Well? With voice acting for the characters, who would play them in the live action?
Movies as well as tv shows are making cartoons like Powerpuff Girls, Flintstones, Scooby Doo and now even Loud House are being turned into live action. I bitched about how I felt when they made a live action Kim Possible. Saying that the writing was so weak the actors portraying the characters...some I felt sorry for.
Disney has been making their animated movie live action like Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Mulan, Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty (Maleficent) and now... 101 dalmation. They've done that before, but now they're doing it in the eyes of Cruella portrayed by Emma Stone.
How do I feel about tv shows/movies getting cartoons to become live action? I don't know how I really feel about it? Sometimes, they would be a hit and other times....they bomb? Rocky and Bullwinkle became live action and so did Inspector Gadget with Matthew Broderick. Speed Racer and much more.
Now, the Loud House family is getting the live action treatment. I don't know how I feel about it. I think I might skip this because I'm somewhat uncomfortable with this. I have nothing negative to say on saying with any of the actors portraying the family. I just think well....they might be better as a cartoon. Fairly OddParents did the same thing and it failed.
I saw another Loud House movie which I thought was amazing. Involving the whole family being related to old ancestors of Scotland. It's amazing and it seems someone doesn't want them to stay. Let's just say, it's up the Loud family to find the answers.
If you wanna see a Loud House movie that looks amazing at the same time following a formula of the Loud House show, this would be the one to see.
It seems there's no stop to making a cartoon live action. Transformers, Alvin and the Chipmunks even Yogi got the live action treatment, and all those movies suck. Is there any cartoon that turned into live action that worked?
In my opinion there is....Addams Family 1990's. Both movies (especially Addams Family Values) actually were good. They had the same flow and formula that the cartoon had (in some way). The late Raul Julia will always be Gomez Addams. The same goes for Anjelica Houston as Morticia. Now, they went cartoon again, but more 3 dimensional.
We can't stop Hollywood for making these decisions. If they want a cartoon to turn live action, they will. Some will be gems while others...will fail. All you gotta do is have faith in the writing and the acting and if not, it will become a realistic disaster.
