The end of June....Summer goes by quickly

   Summer is escaping through our hands. The end of June is near. Before you know it, you will see back to school signs everywhere. Not just in Target or Walmart, but grocery stores as well. Halloween Candy seen in Augst and so on and so forth. Summer is starting to leave us.

   Summer....gone in a flash as June says goodbye. Summer will still linger, but for how long? Summer breeze turns to hot as hell days. Rain...nonstop as the hotter it gets, the more rain we get. July arrives as the Forth shows we're near the end of summer. Fireworks still ringing in the ear at nighttime no matter where you are.

 August arrives, and so will the candy. In bulks for trick-or-treaters it seems Summer will start to vanish before our eyes. 

    The heat will be no more as the cold chilling breeze goes through our bodies. Summer is still here....but for long will it stay?

    We all experience seasonal change, but why do some seasons last longer than others? Autumn is short yet destroys Summer Vacations for kids and adults. Summer gives us happiness; does Autumn weather destroy that? I don't mind early Autumn where you don't have hot or cold weather every day. It's just in between.

 July is still a summer month with warmth, happiness, beaches crowded with people. It gives us joy to see a holiday dedicated to America. We celebrate July now, but as we blink, it too will be gone. Don't cry for the season. It comes every year and goes away in a blown dust of wind.

  The astrological sign of Cancer (don't like that name) are the same until the end of July. Early July birthdays are just the same as the end of June. Summer is going away as so will each astrological sign. Are you around that time? If so.... don't worry, it will come and go.

    June is gone...but it doesn't mean summer will leave us, not yet. But once August hits, beware because Autumn will soon arrive as fast as the Back-to-school sales in mid-July. August is considered the near-death of summer, or the dying of the season. June is ending, but summer will stay...but not for long.

Should Lois and Marge leave their naive husbands?

 

    Two different shows could have a similarity when it comes to a character. Take Family Guy and the Simpsons. Simpsons came out in 1989. Family Guy came ten years later. With both shows still going strong (but should have ended by now) there are similarities in one field. Marge and Lois husbands; why have they stayed with them for so long?

   Let's start with Family Guy. Taking a place in a small, fictional town near Providence, Rhode Island, this New England family came from the mind of Seth MacFarlane. Peter and Lois have been married for....I guess a couple of years, it seems even if something stupid happens, mostly because of Peter, they still manage to stick together.

   In the earlier seasons, Peter seemed normal. Sure he did some dumb ideas, but with the years going by and a cancelation, it seems his choices tend to become.... foolish. Maybe irritating for some like fighting a chicken constantly or introducing a dead country star to change the subject. I can tell with each season...Peter gets dumber.

  Seth MacFarlane has recently left Family Guy to the hands of 20th Century Fox. Without him, I can tell Family Guy will make Peter more irritating than he already is. Doing stupid stunts, stuff that would embarrass Lois as well as the children, there are so many reasons to leave Peter Griffin. Yet, for some reason, Lois decides to stay with him despite her parents wanting her to leave him years ago. 

    Peter does something irresponsible or stupid, doesn't take responsibility for any of his actions...yet Lois still stays with him. I feel that within later years, Lois has become more arrogant. I think she's starting to become more hated within each season. Like their dog Brian has become an ass the more the season progresses getting worse.

  I stopped watching Family guy long ago. I still watch some episodes that I find entertaining. Mostly ones that don't have Peter act like a jackass to his family. I feel it's time for this show to end since the creator has given up on them. And I don't blame him one bit. If you like Family Guy, even all these years later, then that's ok. I think it's best to watch earlier episodes and let the show slowly kill itself with each new season.

   The Simpsons have been going on so long, they are already past 35 years on the air by now. I know more of the Simpsons than I do Family Guy, and with every new season, there are changes. Some ok, some I don't care for, but this show isn't as bad as the New Family Guy is. Matt Groening is still with the network even when he's busy with New Futurama and Disenchantment.

   Even if the new Simpson episodes are weak and pointless, there is still one thing that has not changed from this family in Springfield (god knows what state) how much Homer cam be a nuisance to Marge as well as his family. With many of Marge's siblings wanting her to leave him and take the kids with her. Marge still has a caring responsibility for him.

  They have broken up many times before. Even divorced (that episode sucked) but they still manage to stay together through thick and thin. Homer would always want to be with Marge; even have a second wedding so they can still manage to stay together no matter what happens, or no matter who they sleep with.

  Marge and Homer have seen other people, but they have been attracted to each other since they first met in High School. In mostly every season, Hoer and Marge would break up or separate and date others. Even Moe pines for Marge when she and Homer have their difficulties. But it seems there's something about them that can't break them apart. It has nothing to do with the kids, I have a feeling that ever since Homer met Marge in their high school, they had a spark. Even with all the hell they go through, the spark doesn't seem to die. It brightens when they're together and when the times are tough...it seems the spark dims....but never goes out.

     They're both cartoon characters that's for damn sure, but for some reason the similarities between Lois and Marge have to do with how naive both Peter and Homer are to their wives. I still feel, even before shows end for good...they will still be together, and if not.... Quagmire and Moe will be there to pick up the pieces of a broken marriage. But then again....what is there to pick up? I think both couples are going to stay together. No matter how stupid and arrogant their spouse is.

SUMMERTIME!

     Do you feel the sun caressing your skin? If so, put on sunscreen. It's finally here, but it won't stay for long. Summer has arrived. It's as if Spring came....and left.

     No school, no homework, just summer fun (unless you're in summer school, then it's different) Summertime is here. The time where ice cream, watermelon, cherries, hot dogs, hamburgers are the food for the summer.

   You play in the sun before the rainfall hits. With summer, rain is an often occurrence to ruin a beautiful day. Hurricanes and Tornados find the warmest days to strike. Weather depending, there are days where you can lay at the sun and bask in the glory of your vacation

    Go to the beach and enjoy the sand hitting your toes as you relax. Go into the ocean and swim. Beware of crowds and seagulls. Food will be stolen from a flying rodent or stepped on accidentally by another beach goer. Where would you go? California, Florida, North Carolina, Maryland, Virgina? North or South where are beaches in Texas and Michigan? 

    Hearing music outside at a beach house is the new norm of any beach property. Spending a few days to a week or two, you enjoy another place to relax and spend time with friends and family. But you always decide to go back home before Autumn hits. Then again, before Labor Day, you would go anywhere even if the price is not to your liking. What music would be the best? Any beach theme like Bob Marley and Jimmy Buffet? Or do you listen to your own?

      Spending a night hearing Fireworks is every summer night spent hearing the sounds of a night sky. Starry skies luminating with glows and sounds of summer, Fourth of July is when it nears its end. But it doesn't mean Summer is over.

      Summer comes and summer goes. It doesn't mean it's gone if it hasn't come yet. Tomorrow is the official day, so spend it anyway you want. At a beach, at camp, at the park or anywhere people would enjoy a wonderful summer. Because the best days of summer are the days of summer gone. Enjoy it while you can. In a blink of an eye, school will soon start.

  But now, let's enjoy the heat, the stars, the moonlight, the feeling of having your skin stick to furniture, burning yourself on a playground slide, the warm short nights and the long...long days. Enjoy this summer because now....it's here.

Cruel Summer- POEM

 

The Summer comes,

the heat arrives,

burning skin,

hot,

hot,

hot

Summer is a cruel season,

where it rains,

and it burns,

in one day,

the heat,

 

unbearable

It melts,

you sweat,

you feel the heat,

pressing against your body,

it feels,

as if,

the world,

is burning

Cruel Summers,

bring out,

Harsh Winters,

as time goes by,

heavy rain,

and a storm,

to top off,

how hot,

it gets

drink,

drink,

drink,

as if,

you were on,

a dry desert,

and needed,

to quench,

the thirst,

you ache so much for

The fan,

will keep you cool,

in a cruel,

cruel summer

exercise,

with extreme caution,

this summer,

hydrate,

or faint,

your call,

as you stare,

into the blistering sun

The cool rain,

hits pavement,

after the heat of Hell,

called Summer,

tries to cool down,

us all

Summer can be cruel,

but only,

if you make it cruel,

it's short,

it's here,

and we,

are ready,

to make this summer,

happen

Underrated Tv Shows

 

        Streaming sights are starting to become the new norm now as Television is starting to fade away with many tv shows, and even stations, moving to streaming sites. But there are some tv shows that are pretty much unknown. And if so.... barely anyone would remember them. Here are some shows that didn't geta wide range of audience as it should have. Some faded away and others... well might still be with us and we don't know it.

   Eerie, Indiana- Do you like Goosebumps or Are you Afraid of the Dark? Well, this is one show that is not known very well. It's about a town in central Indiana that has some strange characters. I guess it involves around one kid who eventually tries to find answers himself to why this town is not what it seems. Never saw one episode, and it came out around the time I was into Goosebump books. I guess it was trying to it's own style, but sadly it was short lived.

  Count Duckula- Some cartoon shows ae not heard from much until they are gone. This is one show that I have never heard of before. I guess it came out in the 90's and it involves a duck that is supposed to be like a Dracula if you....made him a duk. Does anyone know about this show? Because I'm in the dark with this one. I guess it came out around the early or mid 90's when I was focused on other shows. I guess this show will be known as...forgetful.

    Back to the future cartoon???- We all know about the Back to the Future movies and its sequels, but has anyone ever heard of this?? I haven't seen this at all, and I think it was short lived. They have cartoon versions of Marty McFly and Doc Brown. I guess two kids are involved.... Look I would just stick to the movie and not this. The technical reason is in the voice acting. Never saw this, and I don't think the voice actors were any good. Why are people making movies into cartoon series and vice versa? Does anyone have creativity anymore?

    Big Little Lies- A recently canceled show, some people might know what this show is about. Having good actors, good plot lines and I guess lies beyond lies. But...how long did it last? Is it still on? Why is this show so forgetful? I don't know. I never saw it. 

    Are you Afraid of the Dark- Even though it had a reboot, I'm talking about the early version in the 90s. Again, around the time of kids reading scary stories, Nickelodeon came up with a show called Are You Afraid of the Dark. I've talked about this show before, so I'll keep it brief. The early 90's version was entertaining, but why is this underrated? I guess not a lot of kids have heard of this, or parents feared how scary it would fear how scary it would be. It isn't, but I do miss it.

    Northern Exposure- Coming out in the late 80's, Northern Exposure takes place in Alaska as a man who moves... I guess, from New York to Alaska for his job. I vaguely remember what this show is about. It's like.... Twin Peaks if you set in Alaska only the main character is not a detective, but he's a doctor instead. There's a moose in the opening credits, and that's all I can remember.

    Parker Lewis can't lose- Ever seen 'The Wonder Years'? Well this is like a wannabe of 'The Wonder Years', only it didn't last long. It's about this guy and his friends trying to understand life in high school while avoiding getting into trouble with his female principal and bullies he encounters. This show has not been known in well...years. I don't think it lasted very long and went into the sunset.

  Some shows are memorable than others, but once they're gone, and  another show is replaced (on TV or streaming site) nobody knows the last show that just left and it's considered an underrated classic, or a forgetful show that is only known through clips. To me, I knew half of the shows. They even had a cartoon show of Ace Ventura and the Mask, but now... we have too many shows on streaming sites that...somebody will forget they exist years later.

Summer,

comes early,

this year,

but why do I feel,

like it's already here

it's hot,

it's muggy,

storms on the horizon,

but,

it's only,

the fifth of June

year,

by year,

it seems to get hotter,

even before June arrives,

the weather varies,

season by season,

and year by year,

but we all now know,

we waited for years,

summer,

is here,

School is over,

graduation is done,

summer is here,

time for some fun

June gives us,

time to start,

summer activities,

vacations,

camps,

camps,

camps,

fathers rejoice,

June,

is about you,

your day,

to do anything,

as long as....

your child,

is with you

Summer,

might not be here yet,

but the gateway,

to that day,

will soon,

come

Waiting,

and waiting,

and waiting,

it comes

June is here,
