The Life of Jackie Robinson

I've recently seen the movie called "42" what is it?
           Jackie Robinson's number when he played for the New York Dodgers, but he did so much more than that.

Being the first black major league baseball player in 1947, he broke color barriers becoming the first to do so.
    In New York, it was considered one of their most famous accomplishments but, since it was during segregation, other states were feeling that way.


  Seeing the movie, Jackie Robinson was portrayed by Chadwick Boseman who is now becoming the Black Panther, was seeing how he was being treated by being a different color. At first the NY Dodgers did not want him in the team because they were being harassed as well by other teams.

They even signed potions on wanting Jackie Robinson off the team. However; Clyde Sukefort aka Sukey would not allow it.


   Even if Robinson wasn't allowed to use the washroom in Kansas City or if they were being taunted by the Phillies coach while Robinson was playing a game. Eventually one of them stood up for Robinson and told the coach to shut his mouth.

             Later, one of his teammates stood up for him, even if it meant going against everything else and it was because Robinson was part of a team.


It has been almost 70 years, The Brooklyn Dodgers are now in LA but will never forget what Robinson did many years ago, winning a home run against the Pittsburgh pirates, and being introduced in Baseball's Hall of Fame as well.

    But what he did for African American players today, weather it is baseball; basketball or football, he broke the color barrier. Proving you human and color is only skin deep.

RIP Linkin Park: Chester

  His name was Chester Bennington. He was the lead singer to Linkin Park, and sadly, he took his own life at the age of 41

   Why am I blogging about this?

      I was a big fan of the band and I was really a fan of the songs. Sadly the last album wasn't their greatest, but I will remember him from some of the songs he was known for such as:
  "In the end", "Numb"

In 2003, they had a hit album called Meteroa. I got the album and loved most of the songs. Numb was one of them, along with:
  -Breaking the Habit
  -From the Inside
  -Somewhere I belong but I thing Numb is the favorite from that album.


They made a new hit called "Heavy" from their new album but it wasn't as great as their recent hits, which made Chester upset. He also was friends with Chris Cornell from Soundgaren who also killed himself.

It's been very sad lately for these celebrities taking the quitting way because one album didn't work out or they suffer from depression.

The rest of the Linkin Park singers were beyond depressed and decided to cancel their future tours, stating that it was because of the death of Chester.

Mike, Brad, Dave, Joe and Rob are still part of Linkin Park, but without Chester it feels as if there is a gaping hole in the band that can never be filled not even if there was a replacement.

   They have done it before when two other band members left, but this time, it feels as if there is a deep scar with in the bandmates that will never heal. 

   I guess I'll be playing Linkin Park in Chester's honor. Losing Chester is like losing a friend, and I wish it wasn't to suicide.

It happens to many great talented artists such as: Sylvia Plath, Vincent Van Gogh, Singer Tommy Page and many more. 

It's sad yes, but we will remember Chester more for his music than his sad death.

Whatever happened to the Olsen Twins

 First off, we all know them as Michelle from the 80's sitcom hit 'Full House'; however, not many knew Michelle was played by two people until the last season. They created them with Mary Kate Ashley Olsen, thinking they were one person.
  They're lives were not sweet. They're family divorced, and they lived with their father throughout the series run. Their father remarried had a half-brother, as well as an older brother and younger sister.

They even did some run of movies that made them super famous such as:
*Double-Double Toil and Trouble starling Cloris Leachman
* How the west was  fun staring Martin Moll
and even * It takes two when Mary Kate and Ashley switch places with one another like the 'Prince and the pauper' staring Steve Guttenberg and Kirsty Alley

And even:
"You're invited to Mary-Kate and Ashley's" where they have slumber party with random strangers and even sometimes, they would have a detective agency  where they would catch crooks as if they were inspector gadget with boobs.


    But their fashion is what they were known for when they left acting. They had a clothing line; making it a boho-chic style and it went off the shelves in the early 2000's; even selling perfume, nail polish and much more. Even they were starting to change. Mary-Kate especially. She ended up becoming anorexic in 2004 and ended up in the hospital. Ashley was devastated.

         She was even dating Heath Ledger at the time; or so the tabloids thought at the time of his sudden death; but she was really a close friend and they weren't even dating.

        They aren't doing much today, Mary Kate is married; tabloids thought Ashley was involved with drugs, but the case was dismissed. Now, even though they are no longer in the spotlight, it doesn't mean they are going to be forgotten. Their sister; Elizabeth (who is both taller and acting) is going to be known for great works, but the Olsen Twins were always known in the 90s as, MICHELLE
