Are Christmas trees the sign of Chrismas or is it much more than that?

I'm sure you're wondering why there are so many fake trees in the house and why the magic of going out to pick one is dying faster than the tree in January when the holiday is over.

I guess many people don't wanna end up cutting themselves with a saw or freezing in the dead of winter like the Griswold's in "A Christmas Vacation."

The spirit might be gone but I guess the feeling will always be there; however, does it mean a fake tree is safe or does it mean a fire hazard for the house?

Some people feel a real Christmas tree could be worse because of it being plastic or synthetic or what not and it would end up catching fire any minute. I don't know what it could be.

I had an interesting life of course. But now having one tree, with all the lights attached to it (so we don't have to deal with all the crappy tangled lights) and some not working at the time.

Some people hate that so they go with the alternative getting lightbulbs in the tree like we have. I don't care if we have a fake, as long as we are together, with the tree, that's what matters.

Others still will sit on hay while riding to pick the perfect sapling and bring it back home and pour water on it, and untangle every single bulb and check it to see if they work. It can be back breaking, hardworking hell, but in the end, it can turn out to be a wonderful tree with an angel or a star on top.

And in the Griswold's case, it is one hell of a tree that is burnt to a crisp by an old man and his pipe.

Enjoy the tree experience because it's just one the things we look forward to in December, Ciao Bloggers.
