Famous people who Stutter

Have you ever met anyone who would say the same thing over and stutter when they talk? are you that person? You're not alone if you are. I'm not one of them, but there are many people that have overcome their stuttering and others still live with it.

If you ever seen the movie "the king's speech", Colin Firth portrayed real life King, King George VI who suffered from stuttering in real live. He had a speech coach to help him out for an important speech that would impact all of  England.

He wasn't the only one. Many famous people suffer from stuttering. Some still today, and some have overcame it. Here are few people that you never knew suffer from a stutter

This man was known as Scatman John back in the 80's and 90's. He suffered from a severe case of stuttering when he was young. To make his stuttering into a talent, he performed in some jazz clubs around the 80's. But people that grew up in the 90's would remember this man from his singing and stuttering through song. Having hits like Scatman (ba, da, de, da,) and Scatman's world. Sadly, his life was cut short due to lung cancer, and he passed away in 1999. He might be gone, but his songs are still unforgettable.

Yes this is true. Darth Vader himself used to stutter. How did he overcome it? By not letting it take over his life. He was in the military's when he was young. He overcame it by acting. Tackling out Shakespearian roles in the sixties to soon becoming a dark lord Sith. Not many people even knew he had a stuttering problem when he was a child. I guess overcoming it by doing plays and acting helped him to become who he was. He is still with us today, but has limited his acting roles.

Yep, even John McLain (Bruce Willis) stuttered when he was a child. He overcame it by taking acting roles when he was in high school He started to develop a stutter when he was in high school and would be teased with it. Now, in over 100 roles, not many knew that he had a stuttering problem. If he did, most of his lines would sound interesting. Still acting, and no one has even noticed his stuttering problem when he was a kid. "yi-yi-yippy kiay..."

Our new president used to stutter when he was a child. He took advice to give to young children that to overcome something that seems hard is to take it day by day. He recently opened up to others of how he overcame his stuttering and not rushing into a speech. I bet other presidents were stutters as well, like Abraham Lincoln. He would finish his own sentences and enourage parents to let their child who stutters to let them finish their sentences without their parents helping them.

Abe Lincoln was another president that suffered from stuttering issues when he was young. And yet, even if he had it, he accomplished as much as he could in his years as a president. But before all that, he had to learn how to overcome stuttering. He didn't learn to write until he was seven. He read at a young age, and he saw his mother die of milk poisoning. He abolished slavery and changed the world for the better. That's one amazing president.

Emily Blunt was about seven to fourteen when she was going through her stuttering issues. When she was young, she took acting and stuttered through her lines. She kept going to make herself to become a pretty amazing actress as well as mother. She might stutter a little, but I haven't seen a performance she has done where she had. She even attended the American Institute for Stuttering. Amazing.

Samuel L Jackson, pulp fiction actor himself, stuttered when he was young. Without having a father around, and his mother working a lot, he was raised by his aunt who helped him get into acting as well as helping him overcome his stuttering problem. He doesn't stutter much anymore, but it seems with the help of his aunt, he overcame it as well as learn to be one hell of an amazing actor. Still acting today, but not as much as he used to. Unless you wanna hear him read "go the f**k to sleep" online.

Famous actor and host Wayne Brady stuttered when he was a child. He was even reluctant to open his mouth when he was young because he feared of stuttering to anyone. Now, after being on Who's line is it anyway, it seems he has come a long way. Even though he still suffers from stuttering, he found his passion with acting and he doesn't let anything, not even stuttering get in the way. He now is hosting a few shows like Let's make a deal. What an amazing guy.

I suffer from a speech issue, but I never stuttered. I had to get a teacher to help me when I was young. I still have a speech problem, but it's not a huge problem as it was when I was little. I guess I became a social butterfly and well...it kind of helped. Don't be upset if you have a speech problem or stutter. It doesn't mean you can't still be yourself. Don't let something like that get in the way of your happiness and your future.
