So you've heard of old Christmas songs like
"Away in the manger", "Oh Christmas tree" and many more songs that are considered timeless. However, we ar starting to hear them too early now, even before December. But what really is...the best one?
Many singers have their own versions like: Jackson 5's "Santa Claus is coming to town" or Stevie Wonder's "Someday at Christmas" Even the Peanuts gang had their own since their short movie "A Charlie Brown Christmas" came out.
Elvis had his own, Randy Travis, Whitney Houston with her "Joy to the World", which I love. Gloria Estefan and even Mariah Carey's "All I want for Christmas is...you"
Frank Sinatra had White Christmas as well as many like "White Christmas"
But the truth is... where did it all start? Was it after the savior was born? But I think what started it all was in the 13th century which sparked songs like "Joy to the World" " "Silver Bells" and even "Around the Manger" Sparking many singers to praise the holidays with great music, and having other versions like: Raffie, The Muppets with John Denver, Barry Manilow, Bing Crosby and even duets just like Buble.
No matter what, every singer is going to put out a holiday album to make everyone happy over the holidays. But do they need to start singing it in October? Nah. What is my favorite Christmas song ever? I don't really have a favorite, I love them all To tell everyone the truth, they have their own favorites and I have mine. Mariah Carey's "All I want for Christmas is you" Whitney Houston's "Joy to the world" Train's version of "Last Christmas" Even though there are many versions of that song, theirs was the one I liked the most.
The most famous one "Santa Claus is coming to town" or even "I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus" any version is fine, but Jackson 5 is the most recognizable of them all.
The Muppets singing with the late John Denver (four years before his death) they had their own songs, even John Denver had a few good ones.
Tom Petty and the Heart Breakers had some, his most famous one is, "Christmas all over again" Randy Travis had his own album but "Jingle Bell Rock" is one I know the most.
The holiday music can be positive and negative, depending on who's singing the classic song. Till then, the Holidays are here and enjoy the Christmas music that it has given us. Any version will do. Sometimes it can make us happy or enrage us. You choose. Ciao Bloggers
