Death of good Comedians

 First off....
  Whatever happen to good comedy?

Now a days, I've seen comedians gone from good, to plain HORRIBLE.

My example would have to be comedians that either talk about where they've lost their virginity to poop jokes and having sex constantly.

   Some comedians can be funny like: Louis C.K.. Jerry Seinfeld, Patton Oswalt or even the late Robin Williams who was hilarious when he was on stage.

But now we have people like: Dane Cook, Kevin James or the dreaded Amy Schumer. Every time I hear her name, it makes comedy seem to get stupider.

Sarah Silverman might be funny on occasion, but Amy???
        She makes Dane Cook seem as if he was as funny as Steve Martin, who was another great comedian who I have loved.

  Some great comedians have left the comedy stage to do other things. Have a normal life for one and another would be starting a TV show like Jerry Seinfeld and Tim Allen did.

The late Abbot and Costello were hilarious back in the olden days.
making jokes that not many would understand. The 'Who's on first joke'  would be considered the best joke ever and would start a hilarity in the years to come just like Animaniacs and their famous "Woodstock episode" featuring Slappy the squirrel. LOL


   But not every comedian is funny. Jay Leno is ok, but when he does stand up, it's not great. When's a talk show host, he does the best he can. He also collects vintage cars which he has been doing lately.

Rosie O'Donnell isn't great either, but I don't hate her.
Carrot Top can be annoying, or as his real name is 'Scott Thompson' He uses props to be funny, and he has recently been in 'Family Guy'

  John Mulaney is a new comer. I think he had a short lived tv show as well. He isn't funny. He tries too hard in my opinion.

What does make comedy hilarious? What makes a comedian great?

The jokes? The talent? Knowing who your audience is?
It depends on the timing.
For some comedians, it would take forever while others it hits them like a bolt of lighting and they know how to be funny.

Some great comedians were also SNL greats like the late Chris Farley, Chris Rock, Adam Sandler.
(Even thought Sandler and Rock aren't as funny as funny as they used to be)
back then they had something.

Sometimes, I love to hear the jokes and find out if a comedian truly is funny, and if not, then forget them.

   Joel McHale is funny at times. Loved him when he hosted 'the soup' but sadly, he hasn't been doing great with shows since "Community" got cancelled.

For every good comedian, there will also be a terrible one. One that will do nothing but smash watermelons or one that will talk about her vagina and another who will just scream constantly on the microphone.

Till then, Comedy will always be Comedy; good and bad.

(I also want to send my condolences to the victims of Charlottesville, Virginia from the tragedy that took the life of one women and injured 19 others over white supremacies. When will we learn that violence will never be the answer. God rest your soul Heather Heyer)
