"Detour" that involves a stupid family on vacation. It feels as if they don't care what curse words they use, or gross stuff they do, as long as the viewer is satisfied.
"Wrecked" it's like a comedy version of lost. I mean it's not great, but not as amazing as I would say repeat episodes of Big Bang Theory.
And both shows are on TBS.
They also put out a new show called "The Guest book." Looks bad, but is it sick? Who knows.
I see some shows give up in the beginning of the series, or even the middle. With 2 broke girls, it was promising, even great.
Now I don't find the show even remotely funny. It went downhill fast, and got cancelled.
Even Family guy, which I loved when it was in it's first few seasons, now, WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?
Same with American dad. It's getting worse. Even creator Seth McFarlane knows it, and admits it has seen better days for both shows, but it seems it's been renewed for another few years.
SpongeBob was getting the same treatment as well, gross out episodes involving gross close ups of mutilated thumbs, eyeballs being sucked out of sockets and even a toe nail being pulled off the toe.
"OUCH!"
And Nickelodeon has some gross shows as well:
"Sanjay and Craig"
"Fanboy and Chum Chum"
"Pig, Goat, Banana, Cricket"
and so much more. Showing gross bodily fluids and even fart noises.
What's going on with TV shows today? Have people just been getting stupider, have the viewers just want gross out stuff?
Did the writers just throw up their hands and gave up?
No, I don't think so. I've been reading that some shows are doing reboots, bringing back classic 90's shows, reviving them and bringing it back in a whole new way.
They tried that on Cartoon Network with Powerpuff Girls and look what happened....
Be advise to anyone wanting to reboot, don't do what they did
