Muhammad Ali's life was very amazing and if it wasn't for someone stealing his bike, it would not have ever happened.
When he was a young child in Louisville, his name was Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. and it seemed someone stole his bicycle and he was very angry. Instead of getting himself in trouble; a police officer told him he should learn to box and that is what he did. And he started to train his heart out as much as he could and he got better and it seemed to work.
He got into boxing and sought the help of Sugar Ray Leonard as his idol and manager.
Before he knew it, he started boxing Sonny Liston (this was before his changed his name) and also defeated boxer Floyd Patterson. After he defeater Liston, he converted to Islam and changed his name to Muhammad Ali.
He soon had a nickname for himself called "Rumble in the Jungle" and always was considered one of the hardest punchers in history. Joe Frazier was also another tough fight and Ali suddenly lost to him. It was considered "The Fight of the Century" and Muhammad Ali's first knock out round.
But the "Rumble in the Jungle" returned against George Foreman (who is still around today) when he knocked Foreman out. It took place in Zaire and during the 1968 Olympics.
Sadly, he didn't want to stop fighting. Ali wanted to keep going strong in his older years. But the last fight he had, he lost to Trevor Berbick. A Jamaican-Canadian boxer in 1981. And sadly in 1984, Ali found out he had Parkinson's disease. I just found he had it ever since I was born. It's tragic really. But it only got worse as the years went by.
His daughter, Laila Ali has been following in his footsteps and has been boxing herself.
Muhammad has had some health issues that was contributed to his Parkinson's disease pneumonia and urinary tract infection.
And sadly... the septic shock from repertory failure killed him.
But we need to remember him for what he did that inspired many of us that to for our goals in life and that just because we are a different race (Islamic or Jewish) it doesn't mean we are different, we are normal and human and we have love and we show it by who we are, and what we love to do. And Muhammad did it with his boxing and his inspirational quotes and messages that can be helpful for all of us to real our dreams.
For it was not a boxer that let us to greatness, but a man with gloves that let us to love.
Goodbye Muhammed God is waiting for you and the boxing ring he made for you.
