May Day-POEM

 

May has come,

let's have fun,

Spring Equinox

and summer solstice approaches

Holding colorful ribbons,

and trotting around the grass,

seeing the sun glow

as they twirl the ribbon,

around

Different traditions

Different views,

but one thing certain,

a new month,

has begun

We wear hats,

pretty dresses,

and dance around the pole,

festivals,

among festivals

with the sun bright,

and the air crisp,

children go out,

and play,

while adults,

relax

Traditions,

in different countries,

as others,

 

ignore,

the day completely

while some enjoy their traditions,

on their first day of May,

an event,

that comes,

and goes,

every,

single,

year

In England,

they call it,

May Morning,

As others,

call it,

MAY DAY

So enjoy the month,

and spin around,

knowing that,

Spring,

will only be here,

for a little while
