The Heartbreakers started off in the seventies, when they were called Mudcrutch, where their first single "Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers" With hits such as,
-Breakdown and
- Anything that's Rock n Roll
Later they had other hit songs such as:
- You Don't know How it feels
-Free Fallen'
- Mary Jane's last dance
and so much more that I can remember.
His music videos tend to be interesting when it was in the late eighties but when it got to the early nineties, let's just say his hits like "Mary Jane's last dance" music video seemed an acid trip with Alice in Wonderland attached to it.
And when I always heard "free fallen," no joke, I always think I'm hearing "free fall-vanilla. Why? Don't ask. It's just me.
His later hits were ok, but not as great as his earlier ones. Like MOJO, hit and miss, but I did like it.
He was a voice star. Guest voiced as himself on an episode of the Simpsons when Homer wanted to be a rock star, giving him some hints on lyrics, but he sang, and lost a toe (don't ask)
He also was a character in King of the Hill named Lucky. I wasn't a big fan of that show, but hearing his voice was pretty cool. But now that voice is silenced. We will miss him as a poet, an artist an forever a singer.
Before I leave, I want to add something. What happened in Vegas, was divesting. 59 souls in heaven, one soul will be in hell. Many will be scared for life. What happened to the world? It seems that hell's gates were open in Vegas and a concert was forever ended in bullets. Why? No one will ever know. Vegas was supposed to be glamorous, not Hell. We are supposed to be safe, now we fell nervous as we walk our streets. Pray for the souls scared that survived the terror.
PRAY FOR LAS VEGAS
