POEM: I Thought

I thought the thoughts

I talked the talks
I walked the walks

I thought I might stop for a drink

There I see 

you sitting there

in the coffee shop

swindling your feet

I saw you cry

I thought I'd try

To cheer you up

with a smile

You laughed

you hugged

you kissed

I guessed worked 

We talked and talked

talked and talked

the day and night away

until it was time 

 to go our separate way

I felt as I just made

a brand new friend today 

I went home,

forgot to ask for your number

but thought and thought 

I might see you again 

at the same coffee shop

the very next day
