First off if you don't know what Rugrats is then you didn't live much in the 90's. Rugrats is a cartoon that was about talking babies on Nickelodeon that started out in 1991 and ended in 2004. Spanded three movies (Two were good, the third one sucked)
It tells a story a story about babies named Tommy, his baby brother Dil, his best friend Chuckie, twins Phil and Lil and the most bossiest child you will ever know in your entire life. ANGELICA PICKLES. My mom always thought I was so much like her. Why? Mostly because I looked like her, and I acted like her too. Being so bossy.
When the show started, Dil wasn't even around, it was just Tommy and his friends and Angelica, soon, they got Susie to tag along and she's pretty cool, she was about Angelica's age and always stood up for the babies. The adults are kind of like children too, mostly Tommy and Angelica's fathers (who ironically are brothers) who act kids. They have a grandpa (voiced by to actors, but we'll get to that part later) who was always watching the kids, but then would always fall asleep in front of the tv as the kids would cause trouble somewhere else. They would have awesome adventures and Angelica would try her best to ruin it by telling the adults, blaming the chaos on the babies and eventually she ends in trouble. So much like my life. LOL.
The good side of it was the early episodes leading up to the first movie where Didi (who is Tommy's mom) revels that she is pregnant will Dil, then that's when it went down hill a little. The episodes were OK, but they weren't as funny as they were, they seemed a little bland. Don't know why I couldn't get into them that much but eventually they weren't too bad. Sadly on an episode called "Mother's day" It has been revealed that Chuckie's mother had died of cancer in a feature season (like maybe season one, I don't know nit picking here) so his dad tells him everything about his mom. Soon, Chas decides he wants to get married and that's where the second movie comes in but to somewhat an evil woman but then, it seems she doesn't love Chuckie's father and... you have to see the movie but soon we are introduced to another Rugrat, Chuckie's sister Kimi.
Then, it went downhill and I couldn't take it anymore. It didn't have the fiiness that the 90's rugrats gave us. It wasn't funny, but what made it worse was the third movie, where they are in the jungle and let's just say having Bruce Willis voice Tommy's dog "Spike" not a smart idea.
The voice acting on the other hand, was good to bad, how well we lost David Doyle, who use to voice Grandpa and was replaced with someone who does have the looney tunes today. NOT FUNNY! Another voice changing was from Chuckie. The original voice actor left for personal reason and we got Nancy Cartwright, the actress who voices Bart Simpson. I like Nancy Cartwright and all, but this isn't the roll for her, half the time, I don't know what Chuckie's saying. What is he saying?
Well the worst of it all came in 2003 when Rugrats did the worst ever, they became teenagers in a new series called "All Grown up" WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY THINKING??? Why did these wonderful rugrats into depressed teenagers? They even aged the adults and half the time it looks as if they were getting face lifts, or their faces were melting. The voice actors were the same, I doubt they even wanted to do this, but for money, they'll do anything. Thank god it was short lived and ended in 2008.
But in my opinion the best, was the classic 90's Rugrats before Dil came around, before the voice actors changed before ALL GROWN UP happened, I just stick with the classics. Why? Because that's me. Till then, Ciao bloggers? Have a great April.

the longest winter ever!!!!!!
Well we finally feel that spring weather in the air. It has been feeling as if it had been FOREVER since it had came. Before you know it. There will be leaves on the trees, green grass on the ground, and my allergies will start to come. But I digress.
That phony of a groundhog in February said that it would be an EARLY SPRING! But we had to wait three more weeks to get through all the snow and cold rain to get to where we are today.
No it's not technically warm yet, but the worst is about over. People in Ohio actually want to SUE the groundhog for wrong weather prediction. I think others want to eat him.
I don't really listen to groundhogs anymore, why? What do you think? They can't even predict their own prediction of when to get out of the hole. BTW: if they predict their shadow wouldn't it mean it would be an early spring? Why the other way around? I don't understand it.
All I know is, Easter is Sunday, Spring is finally here and April is upon us. April usually is when we have Easter, but this year, it is very different. Next year, April will have it's Easter and Spring hopefully, will be earlier.
But just because Spring is here doesn't mean the cold has left, but hopefully the snow has.

HAPPY St. PATRICK'S DAY!
Hope everybody is having a great and green day today. For today is St. Patrick's Day.
I'm not full Irish, and I don't celebrate St. Patrick's Day, but some people do. Hopefully everyone of them is having a great and green St. Patty's Day.
They say St. Patrick wasn't really the Saint that wore green a lot, he was the Saint that was famous for being dead on the 17th of March. So I guess we celebrate his death every March 17th, but mostly he was known as the "Apostle of Ireland" and mostly people from Ireland would celebrate his life. Some just dress green to avoid being pinched. Some others think of leprechauns and drinking.
Knowing if Saint Patrick were alive today, I don't know if he would approve the leprechauns. Till then, have a safe and HAPPY St. PATRICK'S DAY!
(Now I need to find some Scottish holidays to celebrate) Till then, Ciao Bloggers!

The Lorax (the book not the movie)
Today is Dr. Seuss' 109th birthday. I remember reading many of his stories such as: "Green eggs and Ham" "The Cat in the Hat" "Are you my mother" "Go dog go" (which was my first book) "How the Grinch stole Christmas" "Horton Hears a Who" "Hop on Pop" "One fish two fish, red fish blue fish" and many more of his books.
But my most favorite book of all from him is of course, "The Lorax" why? I don't know why, but mostly because I just loved how a person, even if it was a Lorax would stand up to someone called a "Once-ler" and try his best not to have any trees cut down in the forest to save Truffula trees.
It has heart and it shows how much someone can care for something like a tree such as a tree huger would. Even though there had been controversy over this book in California for a logging industry claiming the book was unfair, but I still think it has heart and unlike the new movie that came out almost ruining the books image, I still love to read it.
It's starts with a boy wanting to know about the Lorax and the Truffula trees so he asks the Once-ler and he tells the boy the whole story about the Lorax and how he met him.
The Once-ler wanted to chop down some Truffula trees so he can make some shirts and many other things with the Truffulas but is approached by the Lorax and the Lorax asks why the Once-ler was doing and the Once-ler explains that people would need the Truffulas for many uses like shirts, bicycle seat covers and many other uses. The Lorax tries to explain if the Once-ler did that, the fish and other animals that lived around the Truffula trees homes would be gone.
The Once-ler soon builds factories, hires his relatives and cuts down more Truffula trees and soon the Lorax was gone along with all the Truffula trees. The boy asks if he would come back again when the Once-ler said that he might show up again soon and gives the boy the last Truffula seed so he can grow his own Truffula tree.
I've loved this book since I was little it was one of my favorites out of all the Dr. Seuss book. Not even The Cat in the Hat comes close. When I was little, I always wanted to know if there was ever such a thing a Truffula tree, but now knowing there isn't, this book will make it sure. I saw the old cartoon, that wasn't much like the book but it had some similarities and differences and I remember it as well as I do the book, but the new movie, my god, it is nothing like the book or anything like the short cartoon. I'd rather stick to the original short cartoon because it was not only part of my childhood, because it was SHORT!!
Almost all of Dr. Seuss' books were great to read and I enjoyed reading many of them in my childhood, including the Lorax, the one that speaks for the Truffula trees. He was one great genius and we are greattful for him for giving us great works of literature. I bet he's smiling in heaven right now knowing how many children he has made happy with all the stories he has written for us. Till then, Ciao Bloggers!!! BTW: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOMMY!

The Oscars
It's that time of year again, where Hollywood comes to recognize movies for their greats. It has been going on for over 85 years. This year, there are so many movies nominated for best picture.
First off some people like to call them "The Academy Awards" and some others like to call them "The Oscars" It started in 1929 and the first film to win best picture was a silent film called Wings. And since last year, when The Artist won best picture, no other silent film won for best picture.
There are some categories that all contain movies. All about movies. I am a movie buff, and I love movies. Some movies that I've seen have won best picture. All Quiet on the Western Front was one movie I've seen and it had won the third Academy Award for best picture. Some movies, I feel don't really deserve to win for best picture.
One of them is of course, The English Patient. I don't know why it won, and I don't think it should have won. It was not one of the enjoyable movies to see. But other movies I like such as: Casablanca, On the Waterfront, Ordinary People, Ben-Hur, Titanic, Patton, The Godfather, The Godfather Part II, Schindler's list, Slumdog Millionaire, The King's Speech, No Country for Old Men, Forest Gump and Brave heart, were deserving of those awards. Some movies that I'm not a fan of, did win for best picture and let's just say we have a huge selection this year. There are so many to choose from. One of the movies was filmed in Philadelphia called Silver Linings Playbook. Based on a true story of a man who lives in Philadelphia and is huge fan of the Eagles. I bet a lot of people from Philadelphia are rooting for that one.
Argo is another film that is a contender for the title of best picture, and Ben Afleck directed it. Sadly, he isn't nominated for best Director this year. Argo is also based on a true story.
Lincoln is also based on a true story about the life of Abraham Lincoln and him abolishing slavery. I would love to see this movie. There are so many movies nominated this year. And every year there is a different host, this year it's Family Guy's own, Seth McFarlane. He's OK, but I stopped watching Family Guy. His movie has been nominated for music, but I think I already know Adelle will win for her rendition of "Skyfall" on the new James Bond film.
This year, it will be also a tribute of James Bond's 50 years in film, from Sean Conery to Pierce Brosnan. Even the new one will be there. I was never a huge fan of James Bond, but still amazing to see the 50 years of Bond. Plus if I had to pick my favorite, Sean Conery would be the one "Shaken not stirred"
This year there will also be the youngest actress nominated, at the age of 9 for work in the movie Beasts of the Southern Wind (which is also nominated) and the oldest actress nominated, at the age of 85. Both in the same year. Amazing.
Well I've always looked forward to what they are wearing as well as who will win the Oscar. Love to see the dresses and the beautiful jewelry that the girls will wear and the shoes and purses to go with it.
If I wanted to pick on what movie will win for best picture, it's going to be Argo although Silver Linings Playbook and Lincoln are very good, I just have a gut feeling Argo is going to win best picture. But that's just my prediction.
I love movies, I haven't been in a theater in a while, and I don't like going to 3-D movies. I just like seeing a movie for what it is, without all that 3-D nonsense. Mostly because inspire us to go into a world of another person's life and see how they want to version of the world through pictures and stories, some fictional and some based on a true event, and at the Oscars, their story can be a crowning achievement and can win something more than just being the best of the year, but mostly knowing that so many people would want to see the movie, spend their money and give their positive feedback saying how much they enjoyed it that they would give the filmmakers, writers, directors, actors and many more people that made the movie possible, this one award. This Oscar, that shows this movie is worth seeing.

Short Poem: Feelings
FEELINGS
Sometimes we hide our feelings,
to show we aren't scared,
to show we aren't afraid,
to show we can conquer our fears,
but deep down,
deep down,
we can't show,
or true emotions,
how we really feel,
how we can't shed one tear,
until something sad truely happens,
that is not under our control.
that's when our emotions,
get the better of us,
or feelings really show,
feelings aren't always going to show our true meanings
our true emotions,
we are always going to hide them,
until we find the time,
to show when we really care,
and when we really love someone,

Love Actually- Why I like this movie
There is a movie i like, that comes out around the holidays, called "Love Actually" Staring, Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, Liam Neisen, Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson and it considered a very touching heart warming story about love and why it is important to these people.
First off, I saw this movie in theaters when I was 19, almost TEN YEARS AGO!!! OMG I am old. I didn't know what this movie was going to be like. I found out immediately it took place around the holiday season, and it took place in England. It goes from one persons story to another. Liam Neisen plays a widower who just recently lost his wife (the tragic thing is he experiences it in real life when his actually loses Natasha Richardsen) He has to look after his step-son, who he tries his best to connect with, and he is in love with an American girl in school. He tries his hardest to connect with the kid, but being lovestruck, and heart broken from a sudden death doesn't help heal the relationship they're having.
Hugh Grant plays the prime minister in love with a juror member named Natalie, but she ends up being harrased (Sexually), but that doesn't seem to stop his true feeling and love for Natalie. Eventually he confronts her and they kiss in the finalie of a school play, the secret revealed. Seeing that he and she were meant to be.
Another story was about a guy who wants to go to America to see what it was like to fall in love with American girls after an incident happened long ago. Eventually he falls in love with a girl named "Harriet" who soon introduces her friend to his friend, Tony.
And much much more. Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson play husband and wife who is the prime minister's sister. They seem to be having a rough patch in their relationship.
It has been a while since I seen the movie, and I think that most of the stories are from one source, LOVE. Love can never die, love will never stop anything. Even if you want to show your affections of romance to someone on an airplane while she was getting on to go to New York, or try to know just because you fell in love once, and were crushed by sudden death, doesn't mean your life isn't over.
Even Colin Firth's character falls in love and asks for her hand in marriage, in Portuigese. She says yes of course, in a crowded restaurant where she was a waitress.
I admit some parts of the movie were pretty iffy (since there were some sex scenes, mostly to one couple who were shooting porn) but still was a watchable movie and also, before I leave I can't forget one more character:
An aging Rock 'N Roll legend who feels as if he has a second wind to perform again, with a Christmas jingle of course.
By the end of the movie, the song "God only knows" by the Beach boys play in a crowded air port where some of the characters are waiting for loved ones to come back from America. The son's girlfriend who soon plants a kiss. The guy who was in America and tells his friend about his new girlfriend, the prime minister, Alan Rickman (although not so happy) the family was a little joyful to see him home again. And by the end of the movie, they show random people hugging one another, as the song ends, and I love that song, and the movie both the same.
Also this movie had a lot of songs in it, and going back, this movie was one of my favorites to watch over the holiday season, the young girl CAN sing "all I want for Christmas is you" Sometimes, love can show us many stages and we can be crazy to show how much we can love one another, that we can ask for someone's hand in marriage in another language, go to great lengths just to say good bye to someone on an airport, only to return later. Seeing this movie around the holidays is a really special treat, but I'm not big on hearing Christmas songs in this movie, unless it's the holiday season.
